Offseason Event: S29 Ultimus Host City Competition - Blasoon - 05-09-2021

Hello everybody!

I hope you're all doing well after the big games.

Due to the success of this competition last season, I've been brought back to announce once again that we will be searching for a host city for the Ultimus next season.

To sum it up for those of you who did not see the post last season or just need a general reminder, we would like to see you guys work to come up with proposals for where the Season twenty-nine Ultimus should be held. For this competition, you can either work by yourself or in a group (and we do recommend the latter) to come up with a proposal for why your city should host the next Ultimus Bowl.

To walk you through the proposal, first and foremost, provide the city that you would see host the Ultimus.

Next, tell us why they deserve to host the Ultimus. Take this time to be as creative as you’d like. For example, does your city have a great history with the league? Is it a historically great football city? Would the Ultimus being held there bring the league a whole new audience? These are just some examples but really anything you write will help us envision why the Ultimus deserves to come to your city.

Finally, we’d like to see some indication of what the logo might look like. Now this can be anything from ideas that can give us a picture to a concept logo so good that it only needs some polish. As long as it gives us an idea of the direction you’re heading in, it’ll be good to us! It should also be noted that the Host City Committee will work with the winning bid to produce a polished version of the logo.

If you need any inspiration, these old superbowl logos should show the type of design we’re aiming for.

Furthermore, here is last season's winning submission from @Cheech65

Now, after the submission deadline has passed, a committee will deliberate and discuss to create a shortlist of entries, that will then be voted on by you guys, and before the start of the season, we’ll announce the winning bid and work with that group to get a polished look ready for the big game.

The Rules
1. The City does not need to currently host an ISFL team, but should be a large and recognisable one. E.G. X wants to use their hometown of Mesa, AZ. It would probably be better to base it around the more well known city of Phoenix.

2. The Logo should follow these guidelines:
The words “Ultimus” or “Ultimus Bowl” must be present on the logo.
The Correct number in roman numerals must be present. In this case XXIX.
The logo should be able to fit inside of a 150x150 pixel box and still look presentable.

3. All proposals must be submitted in the media section.

4. All proposals must give full credit to every user who worked on it.

Is there a list of the past hosting cities?
