Ok so here we have a much delayed S28 gameballs for the Coyotes! I was in charge of the offense and fellow captain Noanic did defense. The defensive gameballs didn't quite make it to week 14 so per request from one of the Coyotes, I did some improvising. Without further delay, lets get into it!

Week 1
Quinton Crash
6 REC, 123 YDS, LG 84, 1 TD

Despite the tough loss against Minnesota, rookie WR Quinton Crash never gave up hope till the very end. Crash was a reliable security blanket for QBs Troy Abed and Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. Hauling in 6 receptions, the most on the team, Crash brought life to a struggling offense. Leading the team in receptions and yards as a rookie in the very first game is no joke but Crash also breathed some life back into the offense down 30-17 with 2:38 to go in the 4th quarter. After the defense held Minnesota to a field goal, the Coyotes needed to score quickly to get back in the game. On the first play of the drive, Crash ran a beautiful double move on 2nd year CB Kacper Puntky. Puntky bit on the double move and Abed sailed a touch pass right into Crash’s hands in stride. The rest was Crash putting the burners on into the endzone.

Dexter Hall
11 Tckls, 1 TKFL

Due to the successful preseason for the Kansas City Coyotes, it was even harder to lose so close against the gray ducks. One of the reasons why the game ended with only a six point difference was Dexter Hall's great performance. Hall was named Kansas defensive captain just prior to the game and you could see him taking that role very seriously in the game. He was virtually everywhere and tried to set a good example with his 11 tackles and a key tackle for loss. This game ball definitely goes to Hall and thanks for this great performance!

Week 2
Eleven Kendrick-Watts
4 REC, 83 YDS, LG 54, 0 TD

From what was a struggling offensive performance, where the QBs combined for more incompletions than completions, and the RBs only gained 2.1 yards per carry, veteran receiver Eleven Kendrick-Watts was a lone bright spot for the offense. Of his 4 receptions, 3 went for a first down including the only 3rd down conversion of the game. His biggest play of the game came in the final minutes of the 3rd quarter. QB Gimmy Jaroppolo took the snap and immediately 4 defenders go to cover the future All-Pro Bot Ghana Tape on a hitch route. This freed up Kendrick-Watts on the slant route as he caught the pass for 54 yards.

Amabacus Fitted
4 Tckls, 1 TKFL, 1 Sack, 1 FF

In the S28 DSFL draft, our team was enriched by the infectious energy of Amabacus Fitted.  Not only did he bring that energy in the locker room and on his podcast, but he put incredible performances on the field in week two already. Even though this game clearly went to the London Royals, Fitted brought us those few moments of hope. Besides his 4 tackles and a tackle for loss, he sacked the quarterback and caused a forced fumble. What can I say? Defensive highlight machine?

Week 3
Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr.
10/13, 162 YDS, 1 TD, 1 Att, 11 YDS

After a few quiet weeks, the rookie finally showed off his big arm. The Coyotes dropped their 3rd game of the season but it was the fault of QB Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. Gimmy was very efficient, completing 77% of his passes, while also having some big passes. The first was to WR Kendrick-Watts for 43 yards and a touchdown. The rookie operated like a veteran after the play broke down. Gimmy was forced to roll out to his left and launch a pass as Kendrick-Watts caught the CB watching the backfield. His next big pass was to fellow rookie WR Quinton Crash. In another scramble drill, Gimmy found Crash losing his defender across midfield. With his big arm, Gimmy turned it into a 55 yard gain.

Siege Cameron
7 Tckls, 2 PD

Siege Cameron, one of the best cornerbacks in the league is back. After leading our secondary last season, he kept us from taking a much bigger loss this game. Siege seemed to work on his speed over the offseason as he ran like a Cheetah down the field causing 7 tackles and deflecting two passes (I googled what the fastest animal in the world is, but peregrine falcon just doesn't sound cool). I'm pretty sure we'll see more performances like that from him, and certainly a few interceptions. Thank you very much!

Week 4
Fitted Cuddles
21 att, 217 YDS, 10.3 Avg, 3 TD

What. A. Game. The Coyotes finally can wipe the zero off the win column with a dominant game against the Seawolves. No one deserves this gameball than rookie RB Fitted Cuddles. With eight rushes over 9 yards and three 40+ yard runs (two of which were TDs), Cuddles single-handedly carried the offense. The coaches even admired Cuddles’ effort and after Cuddles got tackled 1 yard short of the endzone on his 50-yard run, the coaches called his name again and let him punch it in for 6 on the very next play. Norfolk had no answer and with the defense standing their ground, the Coyotes won in dominating fashion, 40-14.

Tre Washington
10 Tckls, 2 PD

Master_Chief_DB I hope you will read this sometime when you are back in our locker room. Even if we miss you on Discord, at least Tre Washington is on the field with us. He lived up to his name and brought fear to Norfolk's offense. After a dry spell due to losing 3 games in a row, Washington held Norfolk to just 14 points. It's like he brought us a bucket of Gatorade, because I haven't seen anything that refreshing in a long time. 10 tackles and two points deflecked? Thank goodness he's playing for us!

Week 5
Troy Abed
18/26, 231 YDS, 2 TD, 1 Att, 5 YDS

In a penalty-ridden loss to BBB, Sophomore QB Troy Abed was not at fault. Abed outperformed all quarterbacks on the field that night posting a respectable 122.4 passer rating. Although his two touchdowns came late in the 4th quarter, like the true leader he is, he never gave up hope on the team and continued to motivate the offense to keep going no matter how impossible the comeback seemed. Despite his stellar play, Abed could not vault the KCC offense past the Buccaneers with 10 penalties for 95 yards.

Dexter Hall
9 Tackles

Dexter Hall ... Actually, you could be awarded the game ball every single week, but that would become boring over time. This time, however, there is no way around it and therefore: congratulations! The game didn't turn out as expected, but you still managed to put in a great performance and tackled the Buccaneers a total of 9 times. I would like to know how you manage to get so many tackles every week, because I love it! Dexter Hall proves once again that even in a game that seems hopeless, you keep fighting until the end. One of the reasons why we missed the win in the end with only 6 points.

Week 6
Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr.
4/5, 46 YDS, 1 TD, 1 Att, 5 YDS

After the Luchadores took the game by a storm scoring 17 straight points, many fans were looking at a potential blowout. However, rookie QB Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. thought otherwise. Gimmy’s impact was seen in the drive immediately after the Luchadores scored their 2nd (and final) touchdown of the game. Facing a 3rd and 3, in what looked to be a designed QB draw, Gimmy powered through for a first down. Later that drive, KCC faced a 3rd and 7. Again, Gimmy was under center and threw a perfect spiral to WR Eleven Kendrick-Watts for a crucial 28 yard gain. The Coyotes would only get a FG out of this drive but it kick started the run of 27 unanswered points. Finally, in the 4th quarter, Gimmy steps in the redzone and delivers a nice touch pass over the linebackers for the game winning TD. Although his reps at times have been on the low side, Gimmy has made the most of every pass he has made. As a honorary mention, RB Rejoignez LOrdreSombre had a great performance of 101 yards for a 6.7 average.

Dexter Hall
8 Tackles

Just like last week, nothing leads past Dexter Hall (just like Tijuana's offense couldn't get past him), but this time he brought the win. While in the first quarter Kansas defense needed some time to wake up, the Luchadores not only didn't score a touchdown after that, but not even a single point! TongueogYote:  Who was mainly responsible for that once again? Dexter Hall. Hall once again held his opponents in check with an outstanding eight tackles ... he didn't let anything through. And I think I speak for all Coyotes when I say: "thank you, we needed this win”.

Week 7
Fitted Cuddles
26 att, 135 YDS, 5.2 Avg, 2 TD

Finally for Week 7 we have our sensational rookie RB pop off again! Although everyone on offense had a very efficient performance against the Dallas Birddogs, RB Fitted Cuddles really stood out with his 2 touchdowns. In the middle of the 2nd quarter, Cuddles showed off his dominance by ripping off a huge 41 yard run only to be tackled at the 1-yard line. Unfortunately, Cuddles was too gassed out to be able to punch in the TD himself, but he knew he would not be denied next time. On the very next drive, Cuddles runs for a 15- and 12-yard gain finishing it off with a 1-yard rushing TD. You thought he was done there? After Dallas started to mount their comeback, Cuddles punched in another TD in the 4th quarter to pad the Coyotes’ lead a bit more. Finally, Cuddles sealed the deal after recovering the onside kick as the Coyotes marched onto victory.

Siege Cameron
6 Tackles, 2 PD, 1 INT

Who is the coolest cornerback in the whole DSFL? Who brought us a very important victory? Who made the coolest interception of the season so far? Who showed the Birddogs that they only won the Ultimini by luck? Siege Cameron. Siege played the cornerback position like any coach could ever dream of. He made 6 decent tackles, deflected two passes and here it comes ... after the Birddogs already had big problems against us, he took away all their hopes with a wonderful interception...man did that feel good. By the way, Sieg in German means victory and Siege is the plural form. That's exactly what Cameron does for us ... getting W‘s.

Week 8
Izuku Campbell
10 Punts, 406 Yards, 40.6 Avg, 57 Lng, 2 Inside 20, 2/2 XP, 1/1 20-29, 1/2 40-49

In a relatively quiet offensive game for the Coyotes where no one stood out, it was time for rookie kicker/punter Izuku Campbell to show up. Izuku has been reliable all season for KCC making 80% of his field goals this season. This week, Izuku kept the team afloat accounting for 8 of KCC’s points and also giving the defense a safety net by punting for a total of 406 yards averaging a respectable 40.6 yards per punt. He even managed to pin two punts inside the 20, which were crucial to allow the KCC defense to stop Dallas.

Week 9
Quinton Crash
5 REC, 122 YDS, LG 75, 3 TD

Well well, Quinton Crash strikes again. Quinton Crash has been punishing opposing defenses week after week and this time he absolutely decimated Norfolk with 3 touchdowns for 122 yards. Crash did the most damage in the 2nd quarter where he scored all 3 of his touchdowns. Two were medium yardage redzone scores but his final TD was a 75 yard dash past the Norfolk secondary.

Week 10
Rejoignez LOrdreSombre
13 att, 106 YDS, 8.2 Avg, 2 TD, 1 REC, 3 YDS, 1 TD

In a tough loss to the Royals, LOrdreSombre accounted for all of KCC’s points. With some of the most efficient running we have seen this season, LOrdreSombre reached the endzone three times this game, twice as a runner and once as a receiver. Not only was he a great ball carrier and pass catcher, LOrdreSombre also had 2 pancakes protecting his fellow QBs!

3 Tackles, 1 PD, 1 INT

Week 11
Fitted Cuddles
24 att, 109 YDS, 4.5 Avg, 1 TD

In a come-from-behind victory, rookie RB Cuddles helped push the team through to victory with his strong workhorse running and efficiency. Cuddles has been taking a lot of the carries across the season and he did not disappoint. His one rushing touchdown tied the game up at 17 and his efforts throughout the game aided the team to victory.

Week 12
Troy Abed
22/36, 250 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT, 2 Att, 4 YDS

In another untimely loss to the Luchadores, the offense (and defense) largely struggled. The lone leader on offense was star QB Troy Abed. As a veteran leader and team captain, Troy Abed gave it his best shot while the rookie RB tandem struggled with 3 yards per carry and the defense struggled by giving up 38 points. Abed was efficient with a 88.9 rating while throwing for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns with one (unfortunate) interception.

Week 13
Rejoignez LOrdreSombre
9 att, 44 YDS, 4.9 Avg, 1 TD, 1 REC, 34 YDS, 0 TD

In a tough loss to the Grey Ducks, rookie RB Rejoignez LOrdeSombre shined the most on offense. Punching in the only score for the Coyotes in the 4th quarter along with a solid 4.9 avg earned this rookie RB the gameball this week. LOrdreSombre had crucial runs on 3rd down multiple times this game and also caught a pass for 34 yards!

6 Tackles, 1 PD

Week 14
Eleven Kendrick-Watts
7 REC, 123 YDS, LG 35, 0 TD, 3 Pancakes

This final gameball of the season could have gone to anybody on offense. From young QB Gimmy throwing for over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns to rookie sensation Fitted Cuddles averaging over 5 yards per carry to go along his 2 touchdowns, everyone on offense was electric to play spoiler to division rivals Portland. After some deep thought, I felt like veteran Eleven Kendrick-Watts deserved this gameball the most. With over 120 receiving yards for 17.6 yards per catch, Watts was a reliable target for both Gimmy and Abed. What stood out to me the most though was Eleven’s contribution to the run game. Despite being a receiver, Eleven got 3 pancakes to pave the way for the ball carriers.
