ISFL S29 Hall of Fame Ballot Results ISFL

As a quick summary, in order to be inducted into the Hall of Fame a player needs to be voted in by 2/3 of voters - if they receive 1/3 of the votes they will stay on the ballot for the next season.

As was passed in the S23 Rules Summit, we have formed a Hall of Fame Committee! The committee was made up of Ben, bwestfield, daybe, iamslm22, JuOSu, manicmav36, nunccoepi, PigSnout, and run_cmc!

With these nine, our requirements are 6 votes to be inducted and 3 votes to stay on the ballot.

Note: As was noted in the S29 Open Newsletter, the general user base can now nominate players, general managers, and user contributors for consideration to the Hall of Fame! Publicly-submitted nominees must be sponsored by a HOF Committee member to be entered into the voting process. You can click HERE to nominate someone for consideration to the S31 ballot. Any players/general managers/user contributors that make it to the ballot via this method will be denoted with a †. As an additional note, players will still have to receive approval from half of the committee after being sponsored by a committee member to proceed to the final ballot.

Now, I'm pleased to introduce our newest members of the International Simulation Football League Hall of Fame! Welcome to the Hall of Fame:
Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff McDummy (@infinitempg) and Nate Swift (@Bigred1580)!

Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff McDummy - @infinitempg - QB
COL  (S16 - S25)

Wolfie McDummy was taken 14th overall in the S16 ISFL Draft by the Colorado Yeti, where he would spend his entire career. McDummy took the helm on a rebuilding Yeti team - playing poorly in the beginning of his career. But as the team got better, so did McDummy. While Wolfie’s individual trophy case includes a Most Valuable Player and Quarterback of the Year trophy for his amazing S24 performance, five Pro Bowl selections, and two Performance of the Year awards, the crowning jewel of his career is the 21-3 Ultimus Bowl XXII comeback he helped lead to bring Colorado their only Ultimus title. McDummy’s statistical records are also among the best in league history, with him currently residing 5th all time in career passing yardage, 4th in completions and attempts, and 9th in career passing touchdowns. He also goes down as one of the postseason greats, finishing 4th all time in career postseason passing yards.

Nate Swift was the first pick of the second round of the S13 ISFL Draft, going to the Yellowknife Wraiths. Swift would spend the majority of his career there, becoming the go-to receiving target for fellow Hall of Famer Cooter Bigsby. An integral part of the dominance put on by the Wraiths, Swift went to seven straight Pro Bowls between S16 and S22 with dominant yet consistent performances. While the Wide Receiver of the Year always managed to elude him, Swift was able to get the ultimate prize in the Wraiths’ S23 Ultimus championship. After being deemed too old to continue playing in Yellowknife, Swift was traded to San Jose where despite his age he managed to play a key role in the Sabercats back-to-back Ultimus titles. Swift finished his career ninth all time in career receptions, but thanks to his constant presence in the playoffs he also finished fifth all time in postseason receptions and second all time in postseason receiving yards.

Finally, as passed in the S26 Rules Summit, players can be renominated to the Player Hall of Fame if they receive the approval of over half of the committee. This season, no players were renominated for reconsideration for the Hall of Fame.

- ISFL User Hall of Fame -

Now, we move on to the User Hall of Fame! As passed in the S24 Rules Summit, the rules for the User HOF have changed:

Quote:- To be inducted, a user will need to obtain "YES" votes from 2/3 of the voters.
- Users will remain on the ballot for 3 seasons before being removed from the ballot.
- Users who have been removed from the ballot can be renominated by the committee.

This season, we have no inductees to the User Hall of Fame.

- ISFL General Manager Hall of Fame -

Finally, we move on to the General Manager Hall of Fame. As was passed in the S25 Rules Summit, the GM HOF has been created. This will follow the same nomination/induction process as the User HOF.

I am excited to announce that, for the first time in a few seasons, we have a new group of inductees to the General Manager Hall of Fame! Welcome to the Hall:

shadyshoelace led the Yellowknife Wraiths from S18 through S23, spending time as the team’s Co-GM until S19 and then as the lead GM from S20 onwards. Shady finished his career with a regular season record of 57-24 - a 70% win percentage - and 8-5 in the postseason. The two-time General Manager of the Year, shady helped lead the Wraiths to five out of six Ultimus Bowls (S18, S19, S20, S21, S23), finally winning it in his last season as GM (S23). The leader of one of the most dominant dynasties in league history, shadyshoelace is a well deserving inductee to the ISFL General Manager Hall of Fame!

Laser was named the Co-GM of the Orange County Otters immediately upon his drafting to the team in S18, being promoted to head GM of the team in S20 - a position he held through S26. As the leader of arguably the best franchise in league history, Laser continued the dominant legacy of the Otters by winning 86 of his 129 games in charge and making the postseason every single year. A three-time ASFC Champion (S18, S19, S22) and two-time Ultimus Champion (S18, S19), Laser’s legacy will stand proudly alongside the other Hall of Fame OCO GMs!
