*ASFC Kicker Performances (Weeks 1-4) Part 1/2 - xenosthelegend - 07-06-2021

Austin Copperheads
Leo Bloomfield
Week 1: 3/3 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 1/1 20-29 yards)
Week 2: 4/4 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals
Week 3: 2/2 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards)
Week 4: 0/0 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards)
Total: 9/9 Extra points, 6/6 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 2/2 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 2/2 40-49 yards)

In week 1 Austin took a bit to score their first points, but managed to do so in the first quarter after a 10 play drive resulted in a 6 yard run by Watts to score a TD. Bloomfield walked on to the field for his first chance at scoring points this season. He lined up his shot, and the extra point attempt was good, giving Austin another point. With less than four minutes left in the second quarter, Austin found themselves facing 4th and goal from the Honolulu 1 yard line. Instead of going for it, they decided to take the points and send Bloomfield out to attempt an 18 yard field goal. His kick was right down the middle, and added 3 points before the half was over. With under 1 minute and 30 seconds left in the second quarter Austin found themselves with the ball again. This time they managed to drive all the way down the the Honolulu 4 yard line before the clock situation got a bit too out of hand. With very little time left on the clock, Bloomfield lined up for a 21 yard attempt. Bloomfield kicked the ball through the uprights, and scored another three points before the second quarter was over. Late in the third quarter, Austin QB Daytona connected with RB Watts for a 22 yard TD pass. Bloomfield's extra point attempt was good. Late in the fourth quarter Austin scored their third and final touchdown of the game to put them up by 6 with less than 2 minutes left in the game. Bloomfield had a chance to extend his streak going back at least 2 seasons of never missing an extra point. He lined up for the extra point attempt, and drilled the ball through the uprights, putting Austin up by 7, and keeping his streak alive.
Austin's first points of week 2 would come late in the first quarter off of a 9 yard TD pass to Vequain. Bloomfield walked onto the field for an extra point attempt, where his kick was right down the middle, and scored another point for Austin. After a 30 minute drought of not scoring, late in the third quarter, Austin RB Watts ran the ball in from 10 yards out for another TD. Bloomfield's second extra point attempt of the game was good. After a huge return by Watts early in the fourth quarter, Austin scored their third TD of the game. Bloomfield's third extra point attempt went through the uprights, and scored another point for Austin. After a turnover and a huge passing play, Austin scored their fourth, and final TD of the game. Bloomfield remained perfect on the day going 4/4 on extra points as his final attempt was good.
On the very first play from scrimmage in week 3, Austin forced a turnover and found themselves 3 yards away from the goal line. On the very next play, Austin RB Ben Alexander-Arnold found himself over the goal line, and scored 6 points for Austin. Bloomfield was sent out on to the field to attempt an extra point. His kick was good. Late in the first quarter Austin forced another turnover, and this time returned it for a TD. Bloomfield's second extra point attempt of the game was good. As time was running out in the second quarter, Austin drove down the the New Orleans 26 yard line. With no timeouts and facing 4th and 6, Austin sent out their kicker Bloomfield to attempt a 43 yard field goal. The snap was good, the hold was good, his foot made contact with the ball, and the ball was up in the air. The ball had the distance, but flew to the right, and hit an upright. Fortunately for Bloomfield the ball bounced through the uprights, and he managed to score 3 points for Austin. Late in the third quarter Austin drove down to the New Orleans 10 yard line, and found themselves facing 4th and 1. Austin decided to take the points, and attempt a 27 yard field goal. Bloomfield's kick was good, and scored 3 more points for Austin.
Halfway through the first quarter of week 4, Austin sent Bloomfield out on to the field to attempt a 42 yard field goal. Perhaps he was motivated by nearly missing one from a similar distance a week ago, this time he nearly kicked the ball out of the stadium. The ball went through the uprights though, and the kick was good, scoring 3 points for Austin. That would be the last time Bloomfield took the field with an opportunity to score points until late in the third quarter. With 2 minutes and 30 seconds left on the clock, Bloomfield lined up for a 35 yard field goal attempt. His kick was right down the middle, adding 3 points to Austin's total.

Honolulu Hahalua
Venus Powers
Week 1: 2/2 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)
Week 2: 1/1 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 40-49 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)
Week 3: 1/1 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 40-49 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)
Week 4: 4/4 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 50+ yards)
Total: 8/8 Extra points, 7/7 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 2/2 40-49 yards, 4/4 50+ yards)

It took some time for Honolulu to score their first points of the season in week 1. Halfway through the second quarter, they managed to score a TD, RB Ayers punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score Honolulu's first points of the season. Powers lined up for the extra point attempt, and her kick was good, scoring another point for Honolulu, and scoring her first point of the season. Late in the second quarter, Honolulu found themselves in the red zone after a 49 yard run by Ayers. Unfortunately they were unable to capitalize on this opportunity due to 2 sacks and an incompletion. Facing 4th and 24, Honolulu sent out Powers to attempt a 50 yard field goal. Powers kicked the ball, it had the distance, and the accuracy to go through the uprights, and scored three points for Honolulu. Halfway through the third quarter, Honolulu drove all the way down the the Austin 3 yard line. Unable to punch the ball in from that distance, they decided to take the points. Powers lined up for a 20 yard field goal attempt. Her kick was right down the middle, and scored another three points for Honolulu. Halfway through the fourth quarter Honolulu scored their second touchdown of the game. Powers second extra point attempt, and final kick of the game was good.
After a first quarter that saw Honolulu get scored on twice, they finally struck back late in the second quarter. After a sack, Honolulu found themselves facing 4th and 14 from the Orange County 32 yard line. They decided to sent Powers out to attempt the long field goal. Her kick was right down the middle, scoring Honolulu three points, and their first points of week 2. Early in the third quarter Honolulu once again found themselves in Orange County territory, but unable to convert after three consecutive incompletions. Powers attempted a 56 yard field goal. The ball was accurate enough, but was clearly running out of steam as it approached the uprights. The ball barely cleared the crossbar, and she scored three more points for Honolulu. Late in the fourth quarter, Honolulu finally managed to get the ball into the end zone off of a 6 yard pass from Christ Jr. to Krashwagen. Powers extra point attempt was good.
Late in the first quarter of week 3 Honolulu once again asked Powers to attempt a long field goal. In 3 weeks this would be her 4th attempt from 45+ yards. Feeling up to the challenge, her kick was good, scoring three points for Honolulu, and remaining perfect on kicks for the season so far. Normally after someone writes a sentence like that, you assume something will go wrong next. In this case that was a red herring, because in the second quarter she would drill a 52 yard field goal through the uprights, scoring another three points for Honolulu. What followed was a long drought of Honolulu not being able to put any points on the board. Late in the fourth quarter, when they were already down by a lot, Honolulu had a 14 play drive that resulted in a TD. Powers extra point attempt was good, and she had another perfect week of kicking.
In week 4 Honolulu finally scored a TD in the first quarter. It was off of an interception returned to the 13 yard line, but I will still give them credit for it. Ayers punched the ball in from 1 yard out two plays after the turnover. Powers extra point attempt was right down the middle, and scored one point for Honolulu. Honolulu then proceeded to have a scoring drought of around 15 minutes where they did not do much on offense. It went 3 plays and a punt, then 4 plays and a punt. Finally they managed to string together some kind of a drive where they ended up facing 4th and inches from the Colorado 33 yard line. Powers walked on to the field to attempt a 50 yard field goal. Her long distance kicking magic had not worn off yet, as yet another attempt from over 45 yards was good, and scored three points for Honolulu before the second quarter was over. To start the third quarter it looked like offensive futility would resume for Honolulu as their first pass was incomplete. But there were no more incompletions the rest of the drive as Honolulu marched straight down the field and Christ Jr. had a 15 yard TD pass to Krashwagen. Powers second extra point attempt was good. Late in the third quarter Honolulu scored another TD, this time a 37 yard pass from Christ Jr. to Salamanca. Powers third extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the fourth quarter Colorado was driving down the field, but their QB Caliban threw an interception which was returned for a TD, Honolulu has now scored three TDs in the second half. Powers fourth extra point attempt of the game was good. After the second half surge from Honolulu, Colorado eventually tied the game up, and it was sent to overtime. Powers would not get a chance to win the game for Honolulu as all of Honolulu's plays from scrimmage were either penalties, sacks, or turnovers.

Orange County Otters
Dallas Dole
Week 1: 3/3 Extra points, 1/3 Field goals (0/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 0/1 50+ yards)
Week 2: 4/4 Extra points, 1/2 Field goals (1/2 30-39 yards)
Week 3: 1/1 Extra points, 0/1 Field goals (0/1 50+ yards)
Week 4: 2/2 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals
Total: 10/10 Extra points, 2/6 Field goals (0/1 20-29 yards, 2/3 30-39 yards, 0/2 50+ yards)

Orange County got in to scoring position late in the first quarter of week 1, in an attempt to score their first points of the season, they sent out their kicked Dole to attempt a 22 yard field goal, as they were unable to convert a 3rd and 9 from the San Jose 12 yard line. Dole lined up for the kick, but it was clear that nerves were getting to him as he missed his first field goal attempt in the ISFL wide right. Just a few minutes later, Orange County would score a TD for their first points of the season, an 8 yard TD pass from Ramza to Holloway. Dole's first extra point attempt of his ISFL career was good, and he scored his first point in the ISFL. Late in the second quarter Orange County scored their second TD of the game. Dole's second extra point attempt of the game was good. He was gaining confidence now. Three minutes later, Orange County punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score their third TD of the second quarter. Dole's third extra point attempt in a single quarter was good. The confidence he gained from those three extra point attempts made him feel good about himself when Orange County let him attempt a 52 yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. This confidence turned out to do nothing for him as his kick was about 10 yards short of the uprights. Just 3 plays later, and Orange County had the ball back 15 yards away from the end zone with 4 seconds left on the clock. With another chance to win the game, Dole lined up for a 32 yard field goal attempt. Perhaps he was using his last 2 field goal attempts as motivation, his kick was right down the middle, scored three points, and won the game for Orange County.
In week 2 things got off to a very fast start scoring for Orange County. On the very first play from scrimmage, RB Goat Tank ran through the Honolulu defense 75 yards for a TD. Dole, while not perfect on field goals, was perfect on extra points last week. He remained perfect on extra points as his kick was good. 10 minutes later Orange County QB Ramza connected with Despacito Jr. for a 6 yard TD pass. Dole's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Orange County RB Goat Tank was not done scoring yet, in the third quarter he ran the ball in from 14 yards out for his second TD of the game. Dole's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the fourth quarter, Goat Tank punched the ball in from 2 yards out, scoring his third TD of the game. Dole's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good. Having confidence from his four consecutive kicks that scored points, when Dole lined up for a 36 yard field goal attempt, he was feeling confident. This time his confidence was not a mirage as his kick was good, and scored three points for Orange County. I just realized I missed one of his kicks when reading this through, it was a 34 yard field goal attempt early in the second quarter. The kick was blocked.
Week 3 was a brutal week for scoring for both teams involved in this game. Orange County's first, and only points on offense came late in the second quarter when their defense picked off Chicago QB O'Donnell and returned the ball to the 1 yard line. Goat Tank punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score 6 points, and Dole successfully kicked the extra point, scoring one point for Orange County. That was enough to win them the game as Chicago only scored 6 points, and Orange county got a safety somewhere in there in a defensive struggle. Late in the fourth quarter Dole had a chance to further secure their lead, but he missed a 51 yard field goal attempt, his kick was once again short from that distance.
In week 4 things got a bit better for Orange County in terms of offensive ability. They scored a TD early in the second quarter, a 13 yard pass from Ramza to Despacito Jr. Dole's extra point attempt was right down the middle, and scored one point for Orange County. It would be a long time until Orange County scored again. Late in the fourth quarter, with less than 1 minute and 30 seconds left on the clock, Goat Tank punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score 6 points. Dole's second extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored another point for Orange County. Dole was not perfect on Field goals, but he was perfect on extra points.

Arizona Outlaws
Cade York
Week 1: 4/4 Extra points, 3/3 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)
Week 2: 4/4 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 50+ yards)
Week 3: 5/5 Extra points, 3/4 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 2/2 30-39 yards, 0/1 40-49 yards)
Week 4: 1/1 Extra points, 4/4 Field goals (3/3 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards)
Total: 14/14 Extra points, 11/12 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 1/1 20-29 yards, 6/6 30-39 yards, 1/2 40-49 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)

In week 1, Arizona's first drive left a lot to be desired, a run for 1 yard, then back to back sacks resulting in a punt. Arizona's second drive looked like it would be more of the same as the first play was an incompletion. Then Arizona QB Cortez hit WR Raimon for a 75 yard TD pass, scoring their first points of the season, and allowing their kicker York to attempt an extra point. York scored one point for Arizona as his kick was good. In the second quarter, Arizona got an interception, which was returned to the New York 7 yard line. On the very next play, RB Nakamura ran the ball in from 7 yards out for a TD. York's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the second quarter, York walked on to the field to attempt his first field goal of his ISFL career. It would be a 50 yard field goal attempt. The snap was good, the hold was good, his foot made contact with the ball, and it was up in the air. The ball was running out of steam towards the end, but it still managed to be above the crossbar, and in between the uprights. The kick was good, and added three points to Arizona's total. In the third quarter Arizona drove down to the New York 22 yard line. They decided to take the points, and bring York back on to the field to attempt a 39 yard field goal. His kick was right down the middle, and he scored another three points for Arizona. Late in the fourth quarter, Cortez found Nakamura for a 39 yard TD pass. York's extra point attempt was good. A few minutes later Arizona found themselves facing 4th and goal from the New York 5 yard line. York lined up for a 22 yard field goal attempt. His kick was good and scored another three points for Arizona. The game then went to overtime after a New York score. Arizona got the ball second during overtime, New York had scored a field goal on the previous drive, so they needed at least a field goal to have a chance at tying the game. With less than 2 minutes left in overtime, Cortez found Passman in the end zone for a 12 yard TD pass, York's extra point attempt was good, and Arizona won the game.
In week 2 Arizona had a slightly taller task for York's first field goal attempt of the game. They had him go on to the field to attempt a 51 yard field goal. His kick was similar to his 50 yard attempt, but was still good, and scored Arizona their first points of the game. Early in the second quarter Arizona scored a TD, York's first extra point attempt of the game was good. Halfway through the second quarter Arizona scored another TD. York added another point as his second extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the third quarter Arizona scored their third TD of the game. York's third extra point attempt of the game was once again good. Early in the fourth quarter Arizona scored yet another TD. York remained perfect in kicking extra points, as his fourth extra point attempt remained in between the uprights, and above the crossbar, scoring another point for Arizona.
In week 3 Arizona had York attempt another long distance field goal for his first attempt of the week. This time it was a 49 yard attempt. Unlike the other times though, this time York felt something was wrong when he made contact with the ball. This was confirmed as he missed the field goal, wide left. Late in the first quarter Arizona drove all the way down to the Honolulu 2 yard line. After a couple of incompletions and an inability to get the ball in to the end zone, Arizona decided to take the points, and send York on to the field to attempt a 19 yard field goal. His kick was right down the middle on this chip shot field goal, scored three points, and regained his form. Halfway through the second quarter Arizona let him attempt a 35 yard field goal, which was right down the middle, and scored another three points. A few minutes later, and Arizona had a 72 yard TD pass. York's extra point attempt was good. Early in the third quarter York walked on to the field to attempt his fourth field goal of the game, this time from 36 yards. His kick was once again good, scoring three more points for Arizona. A few minutes later and Arizona had scored their second TD of the game. York's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the third quarter Arizona scored their third TD of the game. York's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the fourth quarter Arizona scored yet another TD. York's extra point attempt was good for the fourth time this game, adding another point to Arizona's total. Late in the fourth quarter Arizona scored their fifth TD of the game. History repeated itself as York's fifth extra point attempt of the game was good.
In week 4 Arizona led a drive that ate up half of the first quarter and ended on the Orange County 17 yard line. Their kicker York lined up for a 34 yard field goal attempt. His kick was right down the middle, scored three points, and gave Arizona their first points of the game. Halfway through the second quarter, Arizona had a 5 yard TD pass from Cortez to Passmann. York's extra point attempt was good. Late in the third quarter Arizona had another drive stall out in Orange County territory, this time from the 23 yard line. They sent out their kicker, York to attempt a 40 yard field goal. York lined up for the shot, and his kick was good, scoring three points for Arizona. Early in the fourth quarter, Arizona was having a good drive that almost ended as a TD, but they got sacked on 3rd and 2 from the Orange County 6 yard line, and had to settle for a field goal. York lined up for a 34 yard attempt, and got the ball through the uprights, scoring three points for Arizona. Late in the fourth quarter Arizona had yet another drive stall out in Orange County territory, this time it was at the 16 yard line. York's fourth field goal attempt this week was from 33 yards out. His kick was right down the middle, and scored another three points for Arizona.

Part 2 tomorrow hopefully.
