*Infamous users: part 1 of ? - WildfireMicro - 07-13-2021
Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here and I want to talk about infamy. By that I mean I want to go over some of the most infamous users that have been in this league. And by that I do not mean just the ones who had personalities that got under people's skin, I mean the ones who were involved in huge dramas and punishments and those who may have hurt the league itself. I'll start off with the ones I have personal experience with then go into ones that I was not around for. I'm just gonna post the names people will associate with them not thier username. I will only go over 3 people I'm this one but maybe if this gets popular I'll dive deeper. So let's start off with a user that is honestly the most innocent compared to a lot of these users:
Jiggly
One of the most love him or hate him users (though it is more like tolerate or hate) my first true interaction with Jiggly (outside of the Chicago Butchers locker room where I think he just posted music) is him just ranting on and on one day about his sim experience and how bad it was. It made me wonder why he was still there despite those experiences. But that isn't really why he is remembered, nor is it the time he apparently posted inappropriate images in ISFL general and got punished for it (found that by searching up his name for research). No it will be for the infamous Baltimore implosion.
Baltimore needed new GMs after Butters stepped down and the league themselves appointed them. This seemed to irritate Jiggly as he posted a media about it that ended up getting so many replies that it sits at ten pages (Yes SamTwoSix that was an easy over). This made him look extremely bad since he basically whined that Baltimore wasn't involved in the GM hiring process even though in the very same media he said, and I quote, "I don't want to be involved with the process other then to vote" despite posting a media that made him very much involved. Here is the thing about all of that: Philadelphia went through a similar situation without everyone from there losing thier minds over it!
Like the thread itself had Blasoon tear Jiggly a new one! And Blasoon rarely says stuff like he said in there. "Shut the fuck up you self righteous arsehole" indeed. There is a lot more I could say here but I feel like I could go on and on and I just wanted to do a brief overview. I know I missed some context on what happened but you can look up what happened easily it is out there. Jiggly has not been active since March and who knows if he comes back. I doubt it though. Thankfully Baltimore is now miles away from what they were back then and are on the right track. Alright onto the next one.
Zamair/Excelsior
Yep this one was even more recent and I have a lot of context on what happened here. Before the season 28 draft the entire first round of the draft was leaked on Twitter and on the forums by a user named Zamair. This was my first draft as a member of the Philadelphia war room and boy was it a nasty surprise with a lot of people running around like chickens with no heads. When the dust settled Zamair was permanently banned from the ISFL and that seemed to be the end of it. But then a bombshell was dropped on the entire league when Excelsior admitted to being the multi of Zamair. What makes this especially crazy was that Excelsior was in one of the HOs at least for a while.
Needless to say, Excelsior was also banned and the whole situation was just extremely crazy for the league. Not gonna lie though, the "I Am Also a Zamair Multi" meme that spawned as a result was very kek. I didn't know much about this user as a person since I did not interact with them that much but it was just an extremely crazy series of events that showed that maybe the league should be more careful when deciding HO members. It just makes Excelsior commenting in the initial Zamair punishment thread all the more surreal.
ER
Alright this one was at the very beginning of the league so I was obviously not around for that so I will tell you what I can gather from the media by slm on it. In the beginning Arizona was a juggernaut. They won the first 3 Ultimus in a row and were the class of the ISFL. But eventually there were grumblings from Philadelphia that they might be cheating. After that an anonymous user who was a guest on the old fourm made a post saying that many users on Arizona were multis. After a whole lot of stuff happening including a moderator deleting a punishment thread it was discovered that ER was running a huge multi ring involving many players on the Arizona Outlaws (I think 9?)
Obviously this was not good. The first 3 titles in the ISFL were tainted. ER was punished in some way but unfortunately the original punishment post is gone. It does not help that ER was the head simmer. I will not accuse him of sim rigging as it is not my position to do so but it is something to mention. Just shows how dysfunctional the league was at the beginning.
Well that is all from me for now. These stories were a bit hard to really summarize bit I hope I did a good enough job.
