*NOLA Top 10 lists - S30 update - JuOSu - 08-23-2021

After missing a season, I am once again back with the update to the New Orleans Second Line top ten lists. So in this instance, I will share all the changes from S29 and S30 all in one update.

For easier viewing, I recommend either looking at the wolfiebot or my own, pretty spreadsheet here:

NOLA Top ten lists

But below now the changes, starting with the game records:

Passing percentage: Ben Slothlisberger had three games in S30 that entered the list. In 9th place with 78.13%, in fourth place with 82.35% and in second place with 85.71%. Great stuff!

Passing rating: Even more impressive, Ben had the top two games ever in passing rating. In second place now with 149.4 rating and the new record, braking my own record from Stan Francisco, with a 151.0 rating! Congrats Sloth

Receiving catches: Brock Bodenhammer impressed with a 12 catch game, ties the record, the fourth person to do so.

Receiving yards: In S29, Ed Barker had a 176 yard game, good for second all time for NOLA behind his own record.

Forced fumbles: In S29, Vinny Jones Jr. had two forced fumbles in a game, tying the record, the fifth person to do so.

Interceptions: In S29, Andrew Witten had three interceptions, the third person to do so ever.

Pancakes. The god Adam Mellott added five new times to this list, now possessing the 9 best games in pancakes for NOLA ever. What a legend. He had 11 twice, 12 once, 14 once and the new record is now 15! Congrats!

Punt average: Taipan Pete had a 61 yards per punt game which is good for the third best game.

Punts inside 20: Taipan Pete had two games with 5 inside the 20, the 2nd and 3rd best instance.

Season:

Passing yards: Both the S29 and S30 seasons from sloth are in the top ten, with S29 coming in at 9th with 4359 yards and S30 comes in at 7th with 4416 yards. Sloth ends with four of the top ten seasons in NOLA history, including the best one in this category.

Passing touchdowns: S30 comes in at 10th for Ben with 24, while S29 is at 7th with 29.

Passing interceptions: Ben Slothlisberger breaks another record, with an absolutely insane season this year of only THREE interceptions all season. What a year.

Passing percentage: In S29 Sloth had 61.7% which is good for 4th, while he breaks yet another record in S30 with a 64.9%

Passing rating: In S29 Ben had 90.34 which is good for 8th, and he came close to another record in S30. This time he had 100.08, only the second season with a rating over 100. Only behind his own record though.

Rushing touchdowns: In S29 Mike Rotchburns had 12 touchdowns and is in 7th place, while in S30 Roman Remus tied exactly those 12 touchdowns as well.

Receiving catches: In S29, Ed Barker had 98 catches, while Brock Bodenhammer had 101 catches that season. In S30 had 106 catches, which is good for 3rd best season in that category.

Receiving yards: Bodenhammer had 1413 yards in S29, which is 8th best.

Receiving touchdowns: Bodenhammer had 11 touchdowns in S29, 9th best.

Forced fumbles: A. Ranger and V. Jones Jr. had 4 forced fumbles in S29, the 7th and 8th people to do that.

Passes defended: Andrew Witten had 24 PDs in S30, while he had 29 in S29. These are 4th and 9th best seasons.

Defensive touchdowns: Andrew Witten and J. Shuffleboard both had two defensive touchdowns in S29, the 5th and 6th people to do so.

Extra points made: Taipan Pete had 44 extra points made for both S29 and S30, weird! 5th and 6th best.

Extra points percentage: Both seasons, Pete had a 100% percentage, which is the 8th and 9th time it happened for us.

Field goals made: In S29, Pete had 30 field goals, the 5th best.

Punt average: Pete had a good season both times here too, 5th and 8th best seasons with 46.76 and 46.16 each

Punts inside 20: Pete had the best and third best season here with 38 and 33 punts inside the 20.

Kick return average: Witten in S30 had the fourth best season here.

Punt return average: Witten had the 10th best season here in S30.

Pancakes: C. Williams had 89 in S30, which is the 6th best season, while Adam Mellott continues his domination, adding the fourth best and breaking the record and having the best season ever with pancakes. The record is now 126.

Playoffs:

We only had one playoff game in the last two seasons so not much has changed here honestly.

Career:

Passing yards: Ben Slothlisberger did the thing pretty well and ended up gaining a spot here, overtaking my own player for 2nd place behind the immortal Borkus Maximus III.

Passing touchdowns: Slothlisberger also gained a spot here, also gaining from third to second in this list.

Sloth also kept his spots in 2nd place in percentage and number one in passer rating. Incredible to have a better career passing rating than Borkus!

Rushing yards: Mike Rotchburns gains two spots and is now 5th best RB in this category. Roman enters the list in 9th place.

Rushing touchdowns: Rotchburns also gains two spots here and is also 5th place here now, though about to be 4th if he gains another touchdowns. Roman also enters in 9th place here.

Receiving catches: I will be honest, I never thought this record would be broken, but Ed Barker actually broke the record for career catches, passing the immortal Fyodo and McCormick. Barker has 734 catches. He gained those two spots. Bodenhammer and Spencer both enter the list, at 5th and 7th respectively.

Receiving yards: Yet another category that Barker broke, with 11730 yards he broke Fyodo's record and pushed past him. Bodenhammer gains five spots and is now 5th place here. Spencer enters the list in 10th place.

Receiving touchdowns: Barker extends his lead to 73 (well 20 ahead of Fyodo), while Bodenhammer gains six spots and now has 43 touchdowns.

Tackles: Andrew Witten gains six spots and is now 2nd all time. 773 tackles is awesome, but also shows how far ahead Bode is, who has almost double that. Busch Light enters the list in 9th place.

Tackles for loss: Medicinal Toblerone gains one spot and now has 42 in third place. Ranger gains three spots and is now 6th place already with 34.

Forced fumbles: Busch Light gains five spots into third place with 13. Jones Jr. enters the list in 4th place with 12. Witten loses two spots with 11. Toblerone enters the list in 8th place with 9.

Fumbles recovered: Simwell gains four spots and is now 4th. Toblerone and Witten enter the list in 5th and 6th.

Sacks: Medicinal Toblerone enters the list with 47 sacks and is now in third place. Very plausible that another good season puts me in first all time here.

Interceptions: Witten gains two spots and is now 4th place. Busch Light enters the list in 9th place.

Passes defended: Witten gains one spot and now has 162 in 2nd place. Zbornak enters the list in 8th place.

Defensive touchdowns: Witten gains one spot in third place, Shuffleboard enters the list in fourth place with 4.

Kicking and punting: Pete enters the list newly in pretty much every category. Most notably he is already second in punts inside 20 and has the best punt average in NOLA history.

Kick return stats: Witten enters the list in every category. He also gains a spot or two in punt return stats.

Pancakes: Adam Mellott breaks the record by G. Rubbernecked and now has the most pancakes in NOLA history with 538. C. Williams enters the list in 5th place.

And that's it! All the changes there. Can't wait for next season.
