*Impact of Jake Fencik's Punting - xenosthelegend - 09-03-2021

I need more money for a few things, so I am writing more media today. And probably tomorrow. And the next day. But not after that unless I need to.

For this media I will be examining Philadelphia's 4 wins this season, and will determine if the punting of Jake Fencik resulted in the team winning.

Win 1: week 3, Philadelphia vs San Jose, 21-20.
Fencik's stats: 7 punts, 324 yards, 46.3 average, 62 long, 4 inside 20.

Fencik's first punt of this game was halfway through the first quarter, a 44 yard punt that was within the San Jose 20, pinning them at their own 12. On the next play, San Jose scored an 87 yard TD. Fencik did all he could. On Fencik's next punt, it traveled 48 yards in the air, and pinned San Jose at their own 5. San Jose then had a 72 yard run. Once again, Fencik did all he could. The next punt was Fencik's worst so far, 35 yards in the air, and returned for 10 yards, resulting in San Jose starting in Philadelphia territory. The drive ended in a field goal. Fencik's fourth punt of the game went 53 yards in the air, and resulted in San Jose starting a drive at their own 12 yard line. The drive resulted in a punt from San Jose. Fencik's next punt went 42 yards in the air and was down at the 1 yard line. San Jose's possession ended in a punt. Fencik's next punt went 62 yards in the air, and was a touchback. Fencik's final punt of the game went 40 yards in the air, was returned for -1 yards, and San Jose's next drive resulted in a punt. San Jose did not score after that.

Conclusion: Fencik's punting played a minor role in Philadelphia winning.

Win 2: week 6, Philadelphia vs Sarasota, 48-34
Fencik's stats: 4 punts, 210 yards, 52.5 average, 65 long, 1 inside 20.

Fencik's first punt of the game traveled 65 yards in the air, but was returned 18 yards to the Sarasota 38 yard line. Sarasota's drive ended in a 51 yard TD pass. Fencik's second punt went 48 yards in the air, and was down at the Sarasota 21 yard line. Sarasota's drive ended in a turnover on downs. Fencik's next punt traveled 40 yards in the air, was returned 16 yards, and Sarasota started in Philadelphia territory. Fencik's final punt of the game went 57 yards in the air, was returned 7 yards, and Sarasota started the drive on their own 16 yard line. The drive ended in a turnover on downs after 4 plays.

Conclusion: Fencik's punting played a minor role in Philadelphia winning.

Win 3: week 14, Philadelphia vs Baltimore, 24-20
Fencik's stats: 6 punts, 274 yards, 45.7 average, 67 long, 3 inside 20.

Fencik's third punt of the game traveled 37 yards in the air, and was down at the Baltimore 17 yard line. Time expired in the second half as Baltimore was still inside their own 20. Late in the third quarter Fencik had another punt, this time it traveled 37 yards in the air, was down at the Baltimore 37 yard line, and resulted in a TD for Baltimore. Fencik's fifth punt of the game traveled 34 yards in the air, was returned for 0 yards, and Baltimore started on their 40 yard line. The drive resulted in a punt by Baltimore. Fencik's final punt of the game traveled 67 yards in the air, and was down at the Baltimore 14 yard line. Baltimore went 3 and out, and the next Philadelphia drive resulted in the game winning TD.

Conclusion: Fencik's punting played a major role in Philadelphia winning.

Win 4: week 15, Philadelphia vs Berlin, 19-17

I would counter that Jake Fencik's punting directly led us to winning against Berlin. Pinning them back so deep so many times (especially the one that led to a safety) just disrupted their entire game flow.
