I hope that you all have been having a wonderful season! We’ve got a few pieces of news to share with you now that the trade deadline has passed.


'Which Archetype?' Articles?
The eagle-eyed among you might have noticed a slight change to the top of the forum, namely the Create a Player section. In order to help new creates make one of the toughest decisions for their player's career, selecting their archetype, we now have a series of articles to help make an informed decision. At a glance, you'll be able to see how each archetype's attributes differ, along with a short explanation of why that attribute is important. It'll also outline any height, weight and trait differences that will make an in-game impact. Let us know if you have any feedback!

Catch-Up TPE!
Starting this season, we will be introducing a task that will allow late creates to make back up some of the TPE that they have missed out on. The task will be open to those who create from the Monday after the Ultimus, with the opportunity to earn 7 TPE per prompt completed within the task. More details will be explained when the task goes live, but essentially, more prompts will be available to complete for each week later that someone creates. For example, those who create the Monday after the Ultimus, can earn a maximum of 7 TPE through this method, while those who create right before the trade deadline will be eligible for up to 42 TPE. This also means that those who create just after the trade deadline, or the weekend after the Ultimus in order to allow their previous player to play another season won't be eligible for any catch up TPE, so the decision between which approach to take is still largely unaffected.


Survey Responses
During the off-season, most of you completed the most recent edition of the off-season survey PT that gives us valuable insight into the league, allowing us to ask probing questions, gain feedback on topics and areas we feel may need greater input to pursue and what changes should happen in the league. Last time, from the feedback we saw large shifts in the forum setup, that whilst may have taken some getting used to, has made it much more accessible and user-friendly for newer users and veterans alike.

This survey also included questions that department heads requested so they could further understand the wishes and desires of the community. There were 288 respondents. All department-specific information has been handed out to the heads, and changes are being looked at based on this, most notably potential changes to the pay structure of the Twitter department to encourage further use of the opportunity to earn extra funds in a more personal and obtainable level for people.

The two biggest questions regarded the creation of a league shop and if the userbase would recreate. Firstly, the breakdown of the league shop responses. 38% said that they would purchase from an ISFL league store, 33% said maybe and 29% said no. This is a very even spread, and is going to require further investigation. Whilst it is an additional thing that not everyone needs to interact with, it brings with it further questions as to how we set pricing. Would we prefer to keep it as close to no profit as possible, or have a small margin to either pay for the expenses of the league or donate to charity?

Secondly, we are proud to see there was a strong majority of users that said they would re-create in this league after they retire their current player. 71% said yes, 25% said maybe and only 4% said no. This to us means we have a strong sense of community within the league, but still need to find ways to convince those unsure to go around again in order to keep the league’s health at its highest possible level.

While the official survey may only run every few seasons, we’re always open to feedback. You can provide feedback through the forum’s suggestion box, or reach out directly to a member of HO!

Pay Scale Changes

You may have noticed a change in pay when scrolling through job listings. Head Office, in consultation with the department heads, have reworked the pay model for league jobs. We’ll be working to update job pay listings around the forums in the coming days.


PT Changes

In order to bring ourselves in line with our affiliates, PTs going forward will now require a word count of 150 rather than 200! PT5 which is currently open remains at 200, so the new count will kick in from PT1 of S32. There may be some other changes in the works, so stay tuned!! 

HO Interns!

DSFL HO is thrilled to announce the hiring of our newest intern, @”zeagle1”! Zeagle will be serving as an intern from now through until the end of the S32 season. Thank you to everyone who applied, the interviews were great and gave us lots to discuss. We look forward to watching zeagle bring his experience as a DSFL GM to DSFL HO and work to improve the development league once again!
