Hello!
My name is PugWalrus (AKA Spicy Ron), and today, I want to show you one of my favorite polling methods applied to this season's DSFL rookie names.
The poll was sent to the ISFL, and DSFL discords, I also asked participants to send the poll to their respective locker room discords. The poll was simple "which DSFL rookie has the better name?"
The way this poll works is different from most polls. Instead of taking all 60+ rookies and asking for participants to pick their favorite, options were paired in head-to-head matchups 2 at a time, and participants had to pick their favorite of the two. Participants could vote as many times as they wanted to, as the poll would keep generating head-to-head matchups forever until the user stopped voting. The poll received just under 1200 responses (NOT 1200 UNIQUE PARTICIPANTS, JUST 1200 VOTES BETWEEN THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED).
Results were generated based on what percentage of head-to-head matchups each given name won. So if a player scores 57 for example, that means that they won against 57% of any given matchups they were paired up against.

Thoughts:
1: D'Hydration Hennessey takes the win with a whopping 88% of matchups won, with Ebeneezer Splooge and Spicy Ron taking 2nd and 3rd respectively.
2. Unsurprisingly, the most popular names were typically the more unique and goofy ones, with the more normal names falling by the wayside.
3. The people love their pasta, with Pasta The Turtle and Deshawn Penne both finding spots in the top 10.
4. A few names I found to be pretty good underperformed a bit more than I anticipated, such as Timothy Teboat, Dragazor Blaze, Eater Piefell, Activia Dannon, and Theo Awardsystemisbad.
This will likely be a recurring poll I do after each DSFL draft, so expect to see more of these in the future!
