(S32) PT 2 - Overreactions
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 150 words. PT's may be submitted in another language, as long as you mention what language you are translating into, to make the job of the grader easier.
Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S32 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, November 21st 2021, at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!
Written option: For the people that have been waiting for more sim-related point tasks, this is for you. The first few weeks of the ISFL and DSFL have happened already and the season is completely underway. How has your team started off so far, and how do you think the season will pan out for you all? Other than your team, how has your player been performing so far, and what do you predict for the end of season in regards to your performance.
Graphic option: Create a graphic displaying your player and/or team through the first few games of the season.
Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE and WSBL are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affliate PT matches with the week of this point task.
Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please. The Arizona Outlaws are currently sitting at 2-2. A .500 team is never something that we would aim to be in Arizona but unfortunately, we’ve been a slow starter for the last couple of seasons and seems to be ramping up a bit as we head towards that playoffs — where we inevitably seem to be the unluckiest team in the league’s history. We’ve had a tricky few games though to start the season off, including our consistent conference rivals in Austin and last season's Ultimus winners in Hahalua. When we keep that in mind, this isn’t the worst possible scenario.
In terms of Glenn Smart’s performance so far, I feel he is having his best start to an ISFL season so far. Having 34 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles after just 4 games is a solid return. It would still require him to find another gear to be in the discussion for individual awards but overall, I’ll take it so far!

Us Liberty players, coaching, and management have gotten our money’s worth this season, as the Philadelphia football team is atop the league at 4-0. No complaints right now about the sim on our end. The wins haven’t been cheapies either, as our points scored v. points allowed sits at 138:50, or plus-88. The two next best ratios in points at +46 and +31. While QB Negs has the second best rating in the league in terms of QBR, he hasn’t been relied upon too heavy as the team has run the ball extremely well and is relying largely on its defense to clamp up the opposition thanks largely to a league-high 18 sacks. While it’s unlikely that the Liberty can maintain this current level of play, the 4-0 start should ensure that this team finally breaks into the playoffs for the first time in this author’s career. The question should only be, can they win a division title.

The Chicago Butchers have begun the season with two wins and two losses, a record that I am quite pleased with given the caliber of our opponents. Although the Butchers made the conference championship last season, their appearance in that game was a bit of a surprise to most fans. The team is still on the upswing as their young quarterback continues to grow, and simply making the playoffs again would be viewed as a successful season. Personally, Juan Domine is all but certain to have a worse season as he regresses to the mean after a Defensive Player of the Year campaign. Additionally, Domine is an aging veteran who only has another season or two left in the tank, so it will not be surprising to see some him begin ceding some snaps to the team's younger linebackers Dexter Hall and Omni Man. After four games, it's hard to see Domine being in contention for any Pro Bowl or All-Pro nods given the early success of other NSFC linebackers such as Xavier Walls, Ernest Lover, and Melvin Murder-Moose.

Well, the season started off great. 1 week played, 4 games into the season and the Yellowknife Wraiths sit bottom of the NSFC with 0 wins and 4 losses. Not only they are last in the conference, but also last in the league, as the only team without a single W so far.
So, what can we say about that? Not much to be honest. The team is going through a rebuilding phase, rookie QB playing, and we all know that can go very well or very bad, depending on what the sim wants to do. Adding to that, Jay Cue Jr. does not seem to have the power in him he showed last season, as he remains without a single TD 1 week in, either rushing or receiving, and that obviously hurts the team very much.
Still a lot to play for for sure, everyone knows, but this season already seems to be a bit out of reach for the canadian team.
