Introducing the Community Moderation Team! - TeyonSchavari - 11-23-2021
Hello ISFL! It is my pleasure to announce a new team targeted towards making our community a fun and safe place for our members to thrive: the Community Moderation Team!
What is it?
The Community Moderation Team is tasked with the following roles:
- Generate and guide discussion within our league-wide channels
- Step in against toxicity, bullying, negativity, and discriminatory behavior
- Organize and execute community events
- Address community concerns and pass along to HO when necessary
- Work to maintain a positive community and continually build upon our improvements
We will currently be working along the guidelines already put in place in our servers to determine what behavior is deemed inappropriate. The more exciting part of this team is that we are mainly focused on improving the community in any way that we can, and hope to strengthen bonds between all users within the ISFL.
Who am I?
I am TeyonSchavari, the new Community Moderation Team Head! If you don't know me - I've been a member of this league for two and a half years in real life, and have held positions in my time such as Head Office member and Rookie Mentor. I'm highly active in discord and love the community aspect of this league more than anything. Because of this, I am excited to build a team focused on making one of the leagues greatest aspects even better, and with my prior experiences I believe that I have what it takes to put our team on the ground running.
What can you expect moving forward?
Much like Nick Fury in the Avengers, I will be assembling a team of heroes from our community to help us achieve our goals in making the ISFL the best place it can possibly be for our community members. Watch for a job description to pop up in Job Applications, but in the meantime feel free to reach out to me on discord if you would be interested in joining the team as a moderator. We will be coming up with ideas for new and exciting community events, so watch for some more announcements in the future! All I ask for is a little patience while our team is in our infancy.
