Jeffrey Andrews of Colorado Sports Network has made his list of main goals that the Colorado Yeti should be doing for next year in order to come back from this disappointing end to a season. Here are his 3 Things The Yeti Must Do In Order To Be Successful Next Year.
3. Keep Your Strong Core
Despite not making the playoffs, this is still a great team that only missed out by way of tiebreaker. Overall, the team is mostly good, they just need some tweaking. The defense is still phenomenal, and will only improve. Big Bot is great, and if he can get his programming tweaked just a bit, he could be one of the best Defensive Tackles in the league. Roman Thomas had a promising start to the year, despite a dropoff later, he could be a great piece of this defense for years to come. Fuego Wozy has been a locker room leader, and a solid player. Blaster Blade is great, Wyatt Fulton is great, Luke Tiernan is great and Phillipe Carter is great. Last but certainly not least, Jonathon Saint is the Best LB in the league. On the offensive end, Logan Noble is the best Quarterback in the league, he just needs an Offensive Line (we will get to that later.) Boss Tweed has had great improvement this year, with a legitimate claim for NSFL Most Improved Player. Kendrick Hendrix is the leagues top receiver, and has proven that time and time again. Jon Ross could be a solid second option for Noble after Hendrix. If the Yeti are able to maintain the solid core they have already built, while also doing the other things I say they should, they will have a great chance next year.
2. Fix The Locker Room Situation
According to Logan Noble, the locker room this year seemed to be different than it did last year. He said it was his biggest concern going into next year. It was quiet at times and "the locker room mood in Colorado changed drastically." He attributed it to the loss of great locker room players such as Vinny Cox and Vikian Marmaldeov. Whatever it is that needs to be done, the Yeti need to do it. The General Managers Chet Fisch and Mike Norton need to find players that can breath life into the locker room. If your biggest star says that you need to improve your locker room, you follow your biggest star's advice.
1. Build the Offense, Especially the Offensive Line.
The adage is "Offense wins games, Defense Wins Championships." That saying is stupid because you need to win games to win the championship. Defense is important, don't get me wrong, and the Yeti have a great defense. But especially since the tiebreaker is Points Scored and not Point Differential, the Offense needs to be a main area of concern. Getting some better secondary and tertiary Wide Receivers would be nice, but as previously stated, the Yeti have a fairly strong offensive core. Their main problem is Offensive Line. Noble and Boss Tweed can't do anything if their Offensive Line isn't blocking for them. I already know that Antonio Sandoval is starting to work hard to improve all facets of his game, but the Yeti might lose him next year as he enters the draft. Gadget Tech has a high ceiling as well. But the other 3 seem stagnant in their talents. I believe that the Yeti need to build their Offensive Line through the draft and trades if they want a chance to make the Playoffs next year.

Completely agree about the offensive line. That killed the Yeti this year.
