Former Olympic Weightlifter Patty Pumpernickel Moves On To Football
After seven generations of weightlifting, the Pumpernickel family now has a football player. Patty spent her youth in the gym with her older brothers, spotting them and learning the family trade. She rose to fame at the age of 18, being selected for the US Olympic team. However, a hand injury made her time at the Olympics difficult, where she finished in the bottom 3. After lashing out immediately afterwards and breaking several TV cameras, Patty retired from the sport and spent her days sulking around her old campus in Twin Peaks, Oregon.
A college student saw her wandering around and asked her to help out with some football drills he was doing with his team. He simply asked her to stand in front of him while he took a snap and tried to throw the ball before his friends could get to him. After 20 minutes of her bouncing his friends to the ground, a scout who just happened to be watching had her signing a contract with UCLA.
After one season there, she broke all pancake records, both in football, and at the local breakfast diner.
The rest, as they say, is history. Patty enters the DSFL draft in the coming weeks.
