Hey Everyone,
I wanted to announce that I am stepping down as Yeti GM. I've been struggling mental health-wise lately and this position has become more of a job/chore than fun. At the end of the day, this is a game, and a game should be fun, so I'm going to try to find the fun again by focusing on my player. @SwankyPants31 will be taking over as interim GM in my place, and I know he and @Tesla will be a fantastic team!
I'd love to thank so many people in this post, but none of you want to read a 70 page diatribe from me, so I'll keep it brief.
@MamaB: Thank you for all of your support of my crazy endeavours in this pretend online football league. Thank you for becoming a part of the community so we could work to enjoy it together. You are my biggest supporter, my unconditional rock, and I love you.
@SchwarzNarr: Thank you for helping me fall in love with the league in the first place, helping welcome me into Norfolk, and then trusting me with the honor of trying to fill your shoes (PS...nobody ever will be able to). I hope you are able to recognize the positive impact you have had on me and countless others in the league. You have made my experience and my life better. Thank you!
@IsaStarcrossed: Thank you for always being there to chat, for your perspective on things, for sharing your sim league knowledge, and for being a great friend.
@Ephenssta: Thank you for all of your support, for our conversations about the team and league, and for being an overall amazing human.
@Tesla: Thank you for being a fantastic GM partner, for being one of the kindest people on this site, and for your perspective and courage in standing up for what you think is right.
@Sylphreni: Thank you for always being there with advice, bringing laughter and joy to the locker room, and for your personal support of me as a user. You do not get enough credit for how incredible you are as a person and user in this league.
@negs: Thank you for being the first GM to fully believe in me and put your trust in me. From drafting me as a new user at 2oa, to allowing me to pretty immediately become a captain and a leader and join the war room, to bringing me on to GM with you, and your continued support of me to this day. The impact you have had on me is incalculable and I love and appreciate you so much. You are wise beyond my years, my friend, and one of the greatest users in sim league history in my book.
I'm going to stop there for the sake of brevity, but I also want to thank all members of the Colorado Yeti, Norfolk Seawolves, and the countless other users in the league who have shown me kindness, joked around with me, and given me their friendship.
As far as my player goes, my future is up in the air a bit, but I know I'll be playing this season in Colorado. I hope that focusing on my player and removing other responsibilities can help bring back the spark that made me fall in love with the league in the first place.
