Mithrandir Sails into the West - mithrandir - 04-11-2022 After nine seasons as GM of the New Orleans Second Line, the time has come for me to retire. I will be stepping down to devote more time to my education and career. I had a pretty unremarkable tenure. I did not win any rings. I never was even close to a GM of the year award. I did, however, have a lot of fun. I made friends with so many NOLA users and GMs from other teams. I made some good draft picks and some I regret. I did the best I could to make NOLA a better team and a better locker room. Time will tell if I succeeded, but I am excited about the core of users with young players and I hope the team will continue to get better under someone else's leadership.  Thanks, @TomHanks and @IsaStarcrossed for drafting me. Thanks also to @ddrector and @GuitarMaster116. You two are really excellent people that I am happy to have co-GMed with. Thanks to all the users who helped make NOLA such a good and wholesome corner of the internet. Thank you to all the GMs I shared GM chat with. We had so many fun conversations over the last nearly two years. I hope you get some well deserved rest and finish your education and get your PhD! You are one of my best league friends and even though we may have not had much success together, I don’t regret a minute of it.
