Hello ISFLers!
First off, a warm welcome to all of those who have joined us over the last couple of weeks! This is the most new users we've had in a single class since the S25 class back in July 2020, so it's a super exciting time to be joining the ISFL!
On that note, a massive thank you to all those in both the recruitment team and the rookie mentor team for their efforts so far! It's hard to believe the trade deadline and the opening of the S36 class was only 2 weeks ago, but you guys have risen to the challenge of bringing in and welcoming a big influx of users. So thank you all!
FIRST ROUNDERS
We currently have a brand new task open for business! It's called First Rounders, and will close at the start of the Ultimus stream. The aim of the game is to pick the 14 players who you think will be drafted in the first round of the upcoming S35 Draft! You'll get 2.5 TPE just for participating and 0.5 TPE for each correct pick.
If you need a little help deciding who to pick, keep an eye on the Media section of the forum for some awesome mock draft content, as well as the #mock-draft-central channel of the ISFL Discord server!
OFFSEASON TASK
The task formerly known as Ultimus Week will now be known simply as the Offseason Task going forward. The structure of the task will be identical (except for one or two prompts) but it will now kick off the first Monday of the offseason and will close on the final Sunday of the offseason, meaning it will run for a full two weeks.
For those players who are in regression, this means that you won't have to factor in UW/OT into your regression, as it won't be graded until after regression is due.
ATTENTION LEAGUE EMPLOYEES!
Do you earn league money via a job? If so, you have the opportunity to exchange part of your salary for a S34 UW/OT Pass or a S35 PT Pass.
If you wish to purchase either pass, make sure you go to the pinned thread in the Bank forum and 'vote' in the poll for the passes you want to purchase. You must do this before the airing of the Ultimus or you won't get the pass!
Here's how the passes will get processed:
1) Your department head must pay out your salary before the Ultimus. If it gets close and they haven't paid out, don't be afraid to remind them!
2) You must register your pass preferences in the thread before the Ultimus.
3) Over the post-Ultimus weekend, Head Office will add up all the money earned through salaries. So long as you have earned enough this season to cover the passes you've requested, you'll receive them in the pass list which will be posted by Sunday at the latest.
This season is an oddity because some jobs will have been paid an UW pass already as part of last season's pay packages. If you already have a pass and you request it anyway, you won't be charged, so don't be afraid to request it in the poll even if you're not sure.
LEAGUE RUNNING COSTS
As you may well know, we've been self-sufficient in terms of costs for the last few months thanks to your donations! Our only fixed outgoings are monthly server costs, but we also use league funds for recruitment drives. Most recently in the S35 class, $50 was allocated to Instagram and returned quite a few new players! We will be looking to continue these efforts, but only if the league funds allow us to. If you'd like to contribute to the running costs of the league, you can do so here. Any contributions at all are welcome!
