*Jair Pharaoh Draft Pick Review - 77th Overall - Jmsewa19 - 04-30-2022

Jair Pharaoh was selected with the 77th overall pick in the DSFL draft and is ready to be a day one contributor for the Kansas City Coyotes.  Pharaoh brings a unique skill set to the offense where he will be able to operate as a proficient pass catcher out of the backfield, as well as lined up as a wide receiver.  Jair Pharaoh will be the successor to star running backs Zane Cold and Ram 1500 where he could play some third downs as a pass catcher.

Jair Pharaoh was the 7th running back to come off the draft board in a loaded draft class where skill positions on offense were in abundance.  With such a loaded draft class, that played a strong factor in why Jair saw his name on the board so late.  Declaring so late for the draft also played a strong role in why he wasn’t as popular of a name as some of the other names at the running back position.

Pharaoh comes in after a very successful collegiate career where he broke multiple records at Saint Mary's University where injuries played a factor in his draft stock sliding.  After finally being selected in the 10th round at the 77th pick, Jair looks to be one of the steals of the draft with the potential of becoming the workhorse running back at some point in the future in his career.

In Jair Pharaoh's first game shown live in the Prospect Bowl, he put on an absolute clinic where he ran for a 95-yard touchdown in the game, tied for the longest rush in prospect bowl history.  He proceeded to rush for 135 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.  He also had a 3-touchdown performance later in the Prospect Bowl season.  Jair Pharaoh will look to translate these skills into the DSFL, and hopefully the ISFL eventually and looks to be a promising rookie for the Kansas City Coyotes.
