(S35) PT 1 - Draft Recap
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 150 words. PT's may be submitted in another language, if you mention what language you are translating into, to make the job of the grader easier.

Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S35 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, May 8th, 2022 at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!

Written option: The DSFL Draft finished up this past weekend, with the ISFL Draft happening the week before with both having some really big classes this time around. Who do you think will win the Rookie of the Year awards in either league? What team do you think had the best draft? Who is your prediction as the biggest steal that will come out of the draft?

Graphic option: Create a graphic displaying draftees from either of the two draft classes or of draft day in general.

Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE and WSBL are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affiliate PT matches with the week of this point task.

Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please. If you have a non-full PT pass and would like to use it this week, make sure to post in the thread. No need to post in the thread if you have a full PT Pass.

If you have ideas for future PTs, visit the link below, and your idea may be used next week!!

Portland had a fantastic draft this season. With so many new prospects, we were thrilled to get into the draft and give our team another huge boost. We picked up some wonderful players that we think have great chances at both offensive and defensive rookie of the year. We grabbed defensive prospects such as XaveValor, and Ulaire to boost us at some key defensive positions of need throughout the season. As well as some potent offensive players like Dreamsloth and SaltyStew32 that will give an even bigger boost to an offense that was already quite potent last season. We also have a solid handful of recreates that love Portland, such as Suggs, Arkz, and c9Van who will all be solid mentors for the rookies and be highly productive on the field as well. We're super excited for what this rookie class can bring to us, and we believe we knocked this draft out of the park.

I think with so many great top end users that were drafted into the DFSL this season, it is going to be really hard to narrow down the Rookie of the Year awards. Honestly you could probably just throw a dart at any of the top 16 picks and each of them have a reasonable chance to earn a ROTY award. But, if I am being forced to choose just one for Offensive and Defensive rookies of the year, I believe it will be the new Pythons running back Jarvis Harbinger-Marjin and Buccaneers linebacker Kevin McThumper. Honestly I would love to have chosen any of the new Coyotes new wide receivers, however I am not sure any will be able to separate from the pack (pun intended) and distinguish themselves as ROTY candidates. Jarvis will look to carve out an early role on offensive and could lead the league in rushing touchdowns. Defensively I selected McThumper due to them being an active user and playing a versatile position they can rack up tons of stats like tackles, TFLs, sacks, interceptions, and FF/FR.

Biggest steal WILL prove to be Walter McKinley who was selected in the 6th round by the Luchadores and the Kansas City Coyotes had the best draft with how many ABSOLUTE STARS they selected at the wide receiver position.
