S34 ISFL Hall Of Fame - Kotasa - 06-21-2022
Hello ISFL! I would like to kick this post off by apologizing for the delay as we intended to have HOF a part of awards presentation this season. Unfortunately this did not work out as intended but will be the process moving forward. Next induction will have over 100 eligible players up for voting which is pretty neato! Without further ado here are your results for S34’s ballot
S34 Hall of Fame Ballot Results As a quick summary, in order to be inducted into the Hall of Fame a player needs to be voted in by 2/3 of voters - if they receive 1/3 of the votes they will stay on the ballot for the next season.
As was passed in the S23 Rules Summit, we have formed a Hall of Fame Committee! The committee this season was made up of TomHanks,Woelkers, daybe, Frostbite, JuOSu, manicmav36, nunccoepi, PigSnout, and Kotasa!
With these nine, our requirements are 6 votes to be inducted and 3 votes to stay on the ballot.
Note: As was noted in the S29 Open Newsletter, the general user base can now nominate players, general managers, and user contributors for consideration or re-consideration to the Hall of Fame! Publicly-submitted nominees must be sponsored by a HOF Committee member to be entered into the voting process. You can click HERE to nominate someone for consideration to the S34 ballot. Any players/general managers/user contributors that make it to the ballot via this method will be denoted with a †. As an additional note, players will still have to receive approval from half of the committee after being sponsored by a committee member to proceed to the final ballot.

Now, I"m pleased to introduce our newest members of the International Simulation Football League Hall of Fame! Welcome to the Hall of Fame:
Saba Donut (@SabaDonutMan), Raphtalia Chan(@Frostbite), and Big Edd (@Big Edd)!

Saba Donut, may not be the best at one thing, but he was elite at everything that the Arizona outlaws asked him to be. Saba was a high level returner throughout his career and was a great receiver bringing home the wide receiver of the year reward in S23. Saba also made six straight pro bowls from season 19 to season 24. Both at receiver and at returner, Saba was a long time staple in the Outlaws offense and special teams and helped to bring team success during his time there. Saba also owns the 20th spot in all purpose yards showing just how effective he was with the ball in his hands. After a long career Saba gets his bust among the ISFL greats.

Raphtalia Chan Chizuru Ichinose, Dax Frost, whatever name they went by they dominated on the field. Chan was part of an elite era of running backs in the ISFL that saw consistent success on the field made all the more impressive coming in as a true rookie on an expansion team. Chan made the pro bowl in their first season in Sarasota and didn’t slow down after that putting up amazing career numbers along with plenty of awards to boot. With two Offensive Player of the Year awards, only one player that has accomplished that is not in the hall of this post, their legacy was all but secured but Chan kept going even after those accomplishments going to two additional pro bowls after earning those awards. Chan also places in the top 10 in rushing yards, touchdowns, and all purpose yards. Helping to bring a title to the franchise they helped start and never missing the playoffs, Chan is the first Sailfish to make the hall of fame and it is very well deserved.

(S25-S30)Big Edd also known as BigEddi ForeverYeti but asked to be inducted under their prior name has probably the most interesting career of any hall of famer. Looking at the team history Edd played for 4 different franchises, and it’s rare to see a hall of famer play for more than two. Hence the team history Edd asked to be inducted as an unaffiliated player, becoming the second ever player to do so. Despite moving teams Edd won Defensive Tackle of the Year a, at the time, record breaking four times with four different franchises. It did not matter the team he was surrounded by Edd found consistent success in the ISFL. Edd ranks in the top 20 among TFLs for Defensive Lineman as well as sacks. An elite player with perhaps the oddest career in the league makes his mark in the hall of fame.

Now, we move on to the User Hall of Fame! As passed in the S24 Rules Summit, the rules for the User HOF have changed:
Quote:- To be inducted, a user will need to obtain "YES" votes from 2/3 of the voters.
- Users will remain on the ballot for 3 seasons before being removed from the ballot.
- Users who have been removed from the ballot can be renominated by the committee.
This season, we have no inductees to the User Hall of Fame.
