Well at one point Cole thought himself quite the hot shot and shoe in for a GM position if he ever wanted one, solely based on his compelling resume as an ISFL fantasy football champion. However, the lone season atop his group of 6 and subsequent relegation back to the bottom three of pretty much any follow on group has slowly changed his mind on the situation. Sure, he did have a great eye and could pick a star in the late rounds when everyone else overlooked the potential of players, but he also seemed to miss quite regularly on the "sure thing" prospects in the early rounds of the fantasy drafts. I mean its maddening how a top performer the year prior, with all signs showing for an even better year, ends up relegated to a bottom ten performance for their position in fantasy, its truly mind boggling to Cole. But nevertheless he has had success, and for a competitor of his caliber that's all it takes for him to believe he could do it, especially if the stakes were even higher than just a silly fantasy league

Imagine this one for me. It’s 5am and the birds are chirping, it’s still dark outside and the streetlights are flickering as they wait to turn off after a long shift. The Dobbler is already up.

He’s got three phones, one for the players, the league management, and the endorsements. Two hands, two phones in two ears. He’s speaking in a way that makes sense to both the LB that complains they don’t have enough playing time and the endorsement scouting the LB in question. “Yes my entire focus is on you”. He says as he puts the two phones closer together. The stream of anger slowly subsides as they realize they’re not talking to future GM Don Dobbler but yo who they really wanted to hear; each other.

This is who Don is, a dot connector, a businessman, the people’s servant and excellent shuffleboard player. The third phone rings, but for league management, the Dob has no voicemail until draft season hits once again.

At the end of his career. McAlister would make a great GM after watching his mentor Jamar Lackson attempt to do it for the Minnesota Grey Ducks for a short amount of time right after his career. There are a couple things that McAlister would do in order to do a better job than Lackson. Step 1, fostering a more active Locker Room, while Minnesota is one of the most active Locker Rooms now, it was not at the time of LAcksons' reign, as he usually opted to leave that part to his co-GM, which looking back probably lead to less success than he would've if he had balanced sim testing and LR activity. IF Ace was ever made a GM of an ISFL level, I would hope to have a better idea of when to buy and sell than some of the other GMs that McAlister has seen in his career, which would lead to a couple different periods of success, and not getting sucked into the win now pit of despair.

Chuck Roth had never wanted to be GM, but many teammates, coaches, and fans had told Chuck that he would make a great GM when he decided to hang up his cleats and retiring from playing the game he has loved since he was a child. Having spent his lengthy career playing in the trenches, first as an offensive lineman and then later as a defensive tackle, Chuck has a deep understanding of the grit it takes to play in the league, which would make him a great talent scout. Additionally, has spent many offseasons scouting players for the Portland Pythons as a volunteer scout, so this would likely be his biggest strength.

His biggest weakness would be making trades with other teams. Chuck is not a very patient guy, and what he has heard from his various previous GMs makes his blood boil. He's not sure if other GMs are dumb, stupid, or incompetent, but the trade offers arizona receives are typically horrible.
