this wouldn't go down immediately, i'd recommend it in S5, about once players start hitting 600 TPE and their minimum becomes 3 mill

Why? No one is close to busting it as is.

There are some teams really close to the cap, it's hard to maintain and will only get harder as players get better due to TPE/Salary restrictions. 100 million is definitely not the answer because then the point of the salary cap gets defeated.

I think once more teams start pushing the limits then it should be raised. Teams paid for archetype changes and gave out bonuses to lots of players this year. Work with what you have for now. But it definitely needs to be raised at some point.

At this point, no one has had to let go a player due to cap space, much less an IMPORTANT player. There are no more waiver claims for NSFL teams, so keeping room open for that isn't a factor anymore. Given that EVERY team had room for waiver claims last year, I don't see an issue.

I wouldn't raise the cap unless the league spending average is over 85% BEFORE cap bonuses, and probably even higher than that.

Completely agree with you dude. No reason to raise it right now at all. Cap management should matter. If a team has to let go of a good player (while other teams have room) then that sucks

it wouldn't go in immediately, but once people start hitting 600 tpe which will be sometime during S4 and their minimums are 3 mill i feel it is necessary

We'll have to see. The cap space helps create parity and keep things interesting. The only reason I could see needing to increase the cap is if teams are having trouble fielding a viable team. Losing important players due to cap space happens all the time in real sports with salary caps, I don't think it should be any different here tbh

Right? This isn't baseball where you can just buy all the good players if you want. The reason Seattle has a bad o line is because they pay their defense booku bucks. This suggestion is basically boils down to "the cap isn't currently a factor, but will soon be working as intended, and I want it to be irrelevant again".

What about players that sign team friendly, long-term deals, right before they hit the next TPE milestone and are forced to resign for more?
