Chicago Butchers CHI
Levy Tate

Week 1: 3/3 Extra points, 1/2 Field goals (0/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards)
Week 2: 6/6 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 40-49 yards)
Week 3: 4/4 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals
Week 4: 2/2 Extra points, 4/4 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 2/2 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards)
Total: 15/15 Extra points, 6/7 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 2/2 20-20 yards, 1/2 30-39 yards, 2/2 40-49 yards)

The Chicago Butchers opened the season as Ultimus favorites, after all they had won it just 2 seasons prior. But to start their season, they would need to go up against the NSFC champions of last season, the Baltimore Hawks. On their first drive of the season, Chicago found themselves just outside of the red zone at Baltimore's 22 yard line. Wanting points, Chicago sent their kicker Levy Tate out on to the field to attempt a 39 yard field goal, which was his first field goal attempts of the season, and Chicago's first chance to score points of the season. With a chance to score Chicago's first points of the season, excitement possibly got to Tate as his kick sailed to the left of the uprights, and missed. His first field goal attempt of the season was no good. About 7 minutes later, Tate got another chance to kick a field goal, this time from 40 yards. Wanting to redeem himself for his earlier failure, he kicked the ball so hard that it nearly went through the net behind the goal posts, and scored three points for Chicago. On Chicago's next drive, QB Kazimir Oles Jr. completed a 48 yard catch and run to receiver Rejoignez LOrdreSombre for Chicago's first touchdown of the season. Tate's extra point attempt was good, and added another point to Chicago's total. With less than 2 minutes before the half, Oles Completed a long pass to Lalu Muhammad Zohri for a 52 yard TD pass. Tate's extra point try was successful, and scored another point for Chicago. After the half, Chicago received the ball, and they marched right down the field to the Baltimore 1 yard line, at which point RB Madison Hayes punched the ball in from one yard out to score Chicago's third TD of the game. Tate's third extra point attempt of the game was good, and gave Chicago another point. Chicago would not see themselves in Baltimore territory again until the last few plays of the game. After an early miscue, Tate was perfect for the rest of the game.
After not doing much in the second half of their first game, Chicago wanted to make a statement against the Colorado Yeti. After allowing a TD on Colorado's first drive, Chicago stormed down the field on their second drive, and Oles found Vincent Sharpei Jr. for a 29 yard TD pass. Tate's first extra point of the game was good, maybe he will have to attempt more. Towards the end of the first quarter, Oles connected with his tight end Nick L Back for a 49 yard TD pass. Tate's second extra point attempt of the game was good. With less than 4 minutes left on the clock in the second quarter, Oles led a methodical drive downfield which left just 44 seconds on the clock when Chicago RB Madison Hayes ran the ball in to the end zone from 2 yards out. Tate's third extra point attempt of the game was good, adding another point to Chicago's total, and bringing it up to 21. Late in the third quarter, Colorado finally managed to stop Chicago when Chicago was in Colorado territory. Facing 4th and 1 from the Colorado 25 yard line, Chicago decided to let Tate attempt a 42 yard field goal. Tate's kick was right down the middle, and scored three more points for Chicago. On the first play of the fourth quarter, Chicago scored their fourth TD of the game, this time a 5 yard completion to Hayes from Oles. Tate's fourth extra point attempt of the game was, like all others this game, good, and scored one more point for Chicago. With 9 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Chicago scored yet another TD, their fifth of the game. Tate's fifth extra point attempt of the game was good once more. Rubbing salt in the would after a turnover set up Chicago at the Colorado 4 yard line, it took Chicago 3 plays before Lalu Muhammad Zohri ran in to the end zone from 4 yards out, scoring Chicago's sixth and final TD of the game. History has a tendency to repeat itself, that was on display here as Tate's sixth extra point attempt of the game was good.
After a fourth quarter last week that saw Chicago score 3 TDs, they did not slow down against Sarasota. On their first drive, Chicago started going down the field calmly, until RB Lalu Muhammad Zohri broke off a 49 yard TD run to score Chicago's first points of the game. Tate's first extra point attempt of the game was good. It took until halfway through the second quarter before Chicago would score again, these points came in the form of a rushing TD by Lalu Muhammad Zohri again. Tate's second extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Chicago's total. Late in the third quarter, after a drive that had burned 7 minutes off the clock, Chicago scored their third rushing TD of the game, only this time it was Madison Hayes who ran the ball in to the end zone. Just 3 minutes later, with 47 seconds left in the third quarter, Oles finally completed a pass to the end zone, a 6 yard strike to Hunt scored Chicago's fourth TD of the game, and Tate's fourth successful extra point attempt of the game put it too far out of reach for Sarasota.
In week 4, Chicago looked to continue extending their win streak, this time against the Yellowknife Wraiths. Very late in to the first quarter, Chicago finally managed to score points, their slowest start to the season so far. A 14 yard TD pass from Oles to Hunt scored 6 points, and a successful extra point attempt by Tate added 1. Early in the second quarter, Chicago drove all the way down to the Yellowknife 1 yard line, where Lalu Muhammad Zohri got tackled for no gain two times in a row on second and third down. Not wanting to test their luck again, Tate lined up for an 18 yard field goal attempt, he had not attempt a field goal since week 2. There did not appear to be any rust though, as Tate nailed his first field goal attempt since week 2, and added three more points to Chicago's total on a chip shot. Late in the second quarter, Tate got back to doing what he had done all of last week, as Chicago scored their second TD of the game. Tate's second extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Chicago's total. 3 minutes later in the second quarter, Tate was sent out on to the field again, this time to attempt a 28 yard field goal. Tate's second field goal attempt of the game was good, and scored three points for Chicago. After not scoring in the third quarter, Chicago would right this wrong in the fourth quarter. After an incomplete pass on 3rd and inches from the Yellowknife 16 yard line, Chicago let Tate attempt a third field goal, this time it would be a 33 yard attempt. Tate's third field goal attempt of the game was good, and scored another three points for Chicago. Late in the fourth quarter, Chicago once again found themselves facing fourth down inside the red zone, this time on the Yellowknife 3 yard line. With the game already mostly decided, Chicago let Tate attempt his fourth field goal attempt of the game. Tate's fourth field goal attempt, and sixth kick of the game was good, and added another three points to Chicago's total. After missing his first kick of the season, Tate had not missed since.

Berlin Fire Salamanders  BER
Izuku Campbell

Week 1: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards)
Week 2: 1/1 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards)
Week 3: 2/2 Extra points, 0/2 Field goals (0/2 40-49 yards)
Week 4: 1/1 Extra points, 4/4 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards, 3/3 40-49 yards)
Total: 6/6 Extra points, 6/8 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 2/2 30-39 yards, 3/5 40-49 yards)

The Berlin Fire Salamanders began the season with optimism. This optimism would soon be shattered as they would not win a game until week 6, and only win once more in week 8, but now is not the time to talk about that. For now, Berlin has optimism, and that is all we need to care about. In the first quarter of their first game of the season, Berlin's first drive was going well until they turned the ball over inside the Sarasota 20 yard line. But after forcing a 3 and out, Berlin marched straight down the field, and rookie QB Bageshwari Singh threw his first TD in the ISFL. An 8 yard completion to receiver Zayne Dangle resulted in Berlin's first points of the season, and Izuku Campbell their kicker sent the ball through the uprights to score another point for Berlin. It was quite a while before Berlin would put points on the board again. Late in to the third quarter, Berlin finally managed to drive all the way down to the red zone, at which point they took a sack which brought up 4th and 14. Berlin decided to let Campbell attempt his first field goal of the season. Campbell's kick was good, and added three points to Berlin's total, and broke Sarasota's streak of 20 unanswered points. Early in the fourth quarter, Singh found French Fries for a 34 yard catch and run that resulted in a touchdown. Campbell's extra point attempt was good, added another point to Berlin's total, and he did not get another chance to cut in to Sarasota's lead for the rest of the game.
Getting off to a faster start than they did in week 1, Berlin scored on their first drive this time. After getting in to the red zone, Berlin was able to complete just two passes and found themselves facing 4th down and 4 on the Philadelphia 5 yard line. Deciding to take the points, Campbell stepped out on to the field, and lined up for a 22 yard chip shot field goal attempt. Campbell's kick was right down the middle, and Berlin had scored the first points of the game two weeks in a row now. Berlin experienced another scoring drought, this time lasting until there was less than a minute left in the second quarter. Getting the ball back with 1:52 left on the clock, Singh led a 2 minute drill that was completed in just over one minute to score a TD. Campbell's extra point attempt was good, and scored one more point for Berlin.
In week 3, Berlin did not score first. In fact, they got scored on twice before they scored a single time. It was not until the second quarter where after a turnover, Berlin got on the scoreboard for the first time. Singh hit receiver Sam the Onion Man for a 17 yard TD pass to score 6 points for Berlin. Campbell walked out on to the field for the extra point attempt, where his kick was good, and scored one more point for Berlin. 6 minutes later, on a drive where Sam the Onion Man took a pass 72 yards down to the New Orleans 6 yard line, French Fries caught a pass from Singh in the end zone for a touchdown. After not missing a kick so far this season, Campbell was feeling confident as Berlin asked him to make a 42 yard field goal early in the third quarter. His kick had the distance, but missed the uprights. Campbell's kick was no good. About a full quarter later, Campbell had a chance to make amends for his previous miss, this time it was a 45 yard field goal attempt. His kick once again had the distance, and was going to go in, but at the last second a huge gust of wind knocked it off course, and the kick missed the net entirely, and ended up in the stands. On the field it was declared a 'act of God'.
In week 4, Berlin's first drive was a bit of a disaster as Singh got sacked two times in a row which resulted in a safety. On Berlin's second drive, they scored points. Singh got Berlin in to the red zone, but was unable to convert on 3rd and 9. This led to Campbell attempting a 35 yard field goal. After the meltdown last game, Campbell really needed to make a field goal here to restore some confidence. His kick was right down the middle, and had enough force behind it to go out of the stadium. After calming down somewhat, Goat Tank took a hand off all the way to the end zone for a 28 yard rushing TD. Campbell's extra point attempt was good, and added another point to Berlin's total. Early in the second quarter, Berlin found themselves in Baltimore territory again, but unable to convert on 3rd down again. Berlin sent Campbell out again to attempt another field goal, this time a 47 yard attempt. His kick was good, and it scored three more points for Berlin. After a turnover, Berlin was set up at the Baltimore 26 yard line. On the next 3 plays, Berlin managed to pick up a net total of 3 yards, forcing a field goal attempt. Campbell appeared to hit a rhythm as his third field goal attempt of the game was good, this time from 40 yards out. Down by 7 with 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Berlin found themselves facing 4th and 7 from the Baltimore 30 yard line. Thinking they could drive downfield to score a TD later in the game, Berlin sent Campbell out on to the field to attempt his second 47 yard field goal of the game. His kick was once again good, and added another three points to Berlin's total. After a rough week 3, Campbell bounced back with a perfect week 4.

Baltimore Hawks  BAL
Daybe Downbad

Week 1: 3/4 Extra points, 3/4 Field goals (2/2 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 0/1 50+ yards)
Week 2: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 50+ yards)
Week 3: 3/3 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals
Week 4: 3/3 Extra points, 0/2 Field goals (0/2 50+ yards)
Total: 11/12 Extra points, 4/6 Field goals (2/2 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 1/4 50+ yards)

The reigning NSFC champions opened their season against a difficult opponent, the Chicago Butchers, how would they fare? The answer was pretty good, as on their second drive facing 3rd and 14, QB Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr. completed a 61 yard pass to receiver Luke Quick, setting up Baltimore in the red zone. Just 2 plays later Baltimore RB Busch Goose punched the ball in from one yard out to score Baltimore's first points of the season. Kicker Daybe Downbad now had his first chance to score points this season. The ball was snapped, his foot made contact, but it was tipped at the line of scrimmage, and was sent off course. Downbad's first kick of the season was no good. Early in the second quarter, another Baltimore RB, Dante Kick scored a TD. This time a 2 yard run. Downbad lined up for his second extra point attempt of the game, and this time it was good. Halfway through the second quarter, Baltimore drove down to the Chicago 4 yard line, but found themselves facing 4th and inches. Instead of going for it, they decided to take the points as they sent their kicker Downbad out on to the field to attempt a 21 yard chip shot field goal. His kick was right down the middle, and scored three more points for Baltimore. After an interception set Baltimore up on the Chicago 25 yard line late in the second quarter, it took just 2 plays for Jaroppolo Jr. to connect with Goose for an 18 yard TD pass. Downbad's third extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored another point for Baltimore. Halfway through the third quarter, Baltimore found themselves in the red zone, but back to back incompletions forced them to attempt a field goal. Downbad lined up for a 32 yard field goal attempt. His kick was good, and added three more points to Baltimore's total. Late in the third quarter, Baltimore found themselves facing 4th and 17 from the Chicago 33 yard line. Showing confidence in their kicker, they sent Downbad out on to the field to attempt a 50 yard field goal. This time his kick was accurate, but ran out of steam, and hit the crossbar. His kick was no good. Early in the fourth quarter, Baltimore scored their fourth TD of the game, this time a 5 yard run by Goose. Downbad's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Baltimore's total. With just over a minute left in the game, Baltimore was at the Chicago 4 yard line on 4th and goal. A field goal from Downbad could ice the game here. Downbad walked out on to the field to attempt his fourth field goal of the game, this time another 21 yard attempt. His kick was good, added three points to Baltimore's total, and secured the victory for Baltimore.
In week 2, Baltimore got off to a slower start than they did in week 2, but they still scored in the first quarter. After a sack on 3rd down, Baltimore faced 4th and 7 from the Yellowknife 33 yard line. After he missed a 50 yard attempt last week, Baltimore decided to let Downbad attempt another one. This time his kick had the distance, and was good. With 2 minutes left in the second quarter, Jaroppolo Jr. found Goose in the end zone for a 4 yard TD pass. Downbad's extra point try was good, and scored another point for Baltimore. Baltimore went on a scoring drought for a while after this, and after allowing 9 unanswered points, finally stemmed the flow with a 1 yard run by Dante King to score a TD late in the fourth quarter. Downbad's second extra point attempt of the game, and third kick, was good, and added one more point to Baltimore's total.
In week 3, Baltimore once again scored their first points of the game late in the first quarter, but it was not the offense who scored these points. Baltimore LB Sheriff Woody intercepted the Philadelphia QB and returned the ball to the end zone for a TD. Downbad's extra point try was successful, and added another point after the pick six. On the first play of the second quarter, Baltimore scored their second TD of the game, this was again scored by the defense. Safety Pasta the Turtle ran the ball back 20 yards for the TD. Downbad's second extra point attempt of the game was good. On the Philadelphia 20 yard line, Baltimore CB Mark Goodhead strip sacked the Philadelphia QB, and picked up the ball setting up the Baltimore offense in great field position. 2 plays and 1 penalty later, Baltimore RB Dante King punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score Baltimore's third TD of the game, but the first one by the offense. Downbad's third extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Baltimore's total. It was at this point where every Baltimore fan will tell you there was a strange blackout, the game was cancelled, and absolutely nothing else happened in this game.
In week 4, it was the first time that Baltimore was held scoreless throughout the entire first quarter this season. But on the first play of the second quarter, Baltimore would score points. A 1 yard run by Dante King scored 6 points for Baltimore, and a successful extra point attempt by Downbad scored 1 point. With less than 2 minutes left in the second quarter, and a chance to score points probably not happening for them again in the first half, Baltimore let Downbad attempt a 52 yard field goal, his kick had the distance, but was not accurate enough, and missed the goal posts to the left. With 24 seconds left in the second quarter after 2 chunk plays, Baltimore got just a single yard closer for Downbad to attempt another field goal. On the 51 yard field goal attempt, Downbad seemed to overcompensate for his earlier miss, and instead missed it wide right this time. Early in the third quarter, Baltimore marched right down the field, and scored on a 14 yard TD pass from Jaroppolo Jr. to Quick. Downbad's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the fourth quarter, Jaroppolo Jr. completed a pass to Quick, who took the ball all the way to the end zone to score Baltimore's third TD of the game. Downbad's third, and final extra point attempt of the first 4 weeks was good, and added another point to Baltimore's total.

Philadelphia Liberty  PHI
IKick Ballz

Week 1: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 50+ yards)
Week 2: 5/5 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals
Week 3: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 40-49 yards)
Week 4: 3/3 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards)
Total: 12/12 Extra points, 4/4 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards, 2/2 40-49 yards, 1/1 50+ yards)

The Philadelphia Liberty entered the season with not only a new quarterback, but no one expected them to do much of anything. After all, they had only made the playoffs once in the last 10 seasons. In the first quarter of week 1, those ideas seemed to be right, as Philadelphia was unable to score at all, and rookie QB Kaguya Shinomiya was intercepted on their second pass in the ISFL. But on the second play of their first drive in the second quarter, Shinomiya hit WR Escanor Sama for a 78 yard catch and run for a TD. Philadelphia kicker IKick Ballz stepped out on to the field to attempt his first extra point attempt of the season. His kick was good, and scored another point for Philadelphia. With less than 2 minutes left in the second quarter, Shinomiya engineered a 2 minute drill which resulted in a 47 yard TD pass to receiver Erwin Kemp. Ballz's second extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Philadelphia's total. With the score tied at 22-22 with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Philadelphia found themselves facing 4th and 1 from the Yellowknife 34 yard line. Ballz lined up for a 51 yard field goal attempt. The snap was good, his foot connected with the ball, and all anyone could do from this point was watch. The ball had the distance, and barely snuck inside the goal posts. His kick was good, and won the game for Philadelphia.
In week 2, Philadelphia got off to a much faster start scoring than in week 1. On their first drive of the first quarter, after a great return, Philadelphia marched to about midfield, at which point RB Lonnie Jackson ripped off a 40 yard TD run. Ballz's first extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the second quarter, Lonnie Jackson got another TD. This time a 15 yard TD run. Ballz's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the third quarter, Shinomiya ran the ball in from the 2 yard line for a TD. Ballz's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Just 5 minutes later, Shinomiya ran the ball in again for a TD. This time from 3 yards out. Ballz's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good, and added one more point to Philadelphia's total. With a bit over 2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Shinomiya ran the ball in to the end zone for their third TD of the game. This time it was from 2 yards out again. History has a tendency to repeat itself, and in this case it did as Ballz's fifth extra point attempt of the game was good.
Week 3 started out as an absolute nightmare for Philadelphia. Baltimore scored 21 unanswered points to start the game. It was not until late in the second quarter where Philadelphia began fighting back. With 1:55 left in the second quarter, Shinomiya completed a 6 yard pass to Sama in the end zone for a TD. Ballz's extra point attempt was good, and added another point to Philadelphia's comeback effort. Early in the third quarter, Philadelphia was still down by 14 points, but found themselves facing 4th and 6 at the Baltimore 28 yard line. Ballz did something he had not done since week 1, and only did once in week 1. Attempt a field goal. Ballz lined up for a 45 yard field goal attempt. His kick was right down the middle, scored three points for Philadelphia, and cut in to the Baltimore lead just a bit more. Late in the third quarter, Philadelphia got a TD, and the 2 point conversion, so Philadelphia is now down by 3 points. Late in the fourth quarter, Shinomiya hit Sama in the end zone again for another 6 yard TD pass. Ballz's extra point attempt was good, and Philadelphia after being down 21-0 now led 25-21. Philadelphia's defense forced a turnover on downs, and would hold on to not only complete the comeback, but win the game.
In week 4, it took Philadelphia until the second quarter to score once again. Shinomiya completed a pass to Sama, who ran the ball all the way to the end zone for a 20 yard TD pass. Ballz's first extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored one point for Philadelphia. Late in the second quarter, Shinomiya needed to engineer another 2 minute drill. Philadelphia marched down the field until the found themselves facing 4th and 6 at the San Jose 25 yard line. Instead of going for it, Philadelphia decided to take the points and sent Ballz out on to the field to attempt a 42 yard field goal. His kick was right down the middle, and added three more points to Philadelphia's total. Halfway through the third quarter, Lonnie Jackson ran the ball from 9 yards out in to the end zone to score Philadelphia's second TD of the game. Ballz's second extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Philadelphia's total. Halfway through the fourth quarter, Shinomiya hit Erwin Kemp in the end zone for a 4 yard TD pass. Ballz's third extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored another point for Philadelphia. With less than 2 minutes left in the game, and leading by 10 points, Philadelphia decided to put the game further out of reach by letting Ballz attempt a 31 yard field goal. On his second field goal attempt of the game, which was now equivalent to the amount of attempt he had in the previous three weeks combined, his kick was good. The kick added three more points to Philadelphia's total, and put the game even further out of reach for San Jose who managed to score a TD on the next drive.

Sarasota came in to the season with big expectations, a deep playoff run was the season expectation, but the players wanted an Ultimus. They got off to a slower start than they would have liked scoring in week 1. Their first points came in the form of a 29 yard TD pass from their QB Carter Knight to WR Nick Kaepercolin Jr. Their kicker Swantavius King lined up for the extra point attempt. His kick was good, and scored another point for Sarasota. Late in the second quarter, Sarasota drove down to the red zone, but found themselves facing 4th and 4 immediately. Instead of going for it, they decided to take the points, and let King attempt a 35 yard field goal. King's kick was right down the middle, and scored three points for Sarasota. With 18 seconds left in the second quarter, Sarasota was on the Berlin 28 yard line. Feeling like they were running out of time, Sarasota called King out on to the field to attempt a 45 yard field goal. King's kick was once again good, and scored three more points for Sarasota. Early in the second quarter Sarasota scored their second TD of the game, a 6 yard pass from Knight to John Huntsman. King's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the fourth quarter, Sarasota found themselves just outside of the red zone, and needing points decided to take the field goal. This would be King's third field goal attempt of the game, this time from 39 yards out. King's third field goal attempt of the game was good, and brought his point total for this game up to 11. With just under 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter, King was sent out on to the field to attempt a 45 yard field goal, which was his fourth field goal attempt of the game. King's fourth field goal attempt of game was good, and scored three more points for Sarasota. When the game was over, King had scored 14 points. The rest of his team combined for 14 points.
Early in the first quarter of week 2, Sarasota forced a turnover. It was off this turnover that they scored a TD just 3 plays later. A 13 yard TD pass from Knight to Barnes resulted in that TD. King's first extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored a single point for Sarasota. Late in the first quarter, RB John Huntsman punched the ball in to the end zone from 2 yards out to score Sarasota's second TD of the game. King scored another point for Sarasota when his second extra point attempt of the game was good. A bit over a minute later, still in the first quarter, King lined up for a 31 yard field goal attempt. His kick was right down the middle, and added another three points to Sarasota's total. Early in the second quarter, King lined up for his second field goal attempt, this time from 35 yards out. His kick was once again right down the middle, and scored three more points for Sarasota. Halfway through the second quarter, Knight completed a 13 yard TD pass to Kaepercolin Jr. for Sarasota's third TD of the game. King's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Just 2 plays from scrimmage later, and Sarasota scored another TD after a turnover set them up on the New York 12 yard line. King's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good, and he had now matched the amount of kicks he had last week in a bit over one and a half quarters. The scoring cooled off for Sarasota in the second half, but they still scored a TD on their first drive of the third quarter as Knight hit Kaepercolin for another TD. This time a 26 yard completion. King's fifth extra point attempt of the game was good, and added another point to Sarasota's total. With less than 1 minute left in the fourth quarter, Knight hit Kaepercolin Jr. yet again for an 18 yard TD pass. King's sixth and final extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored another point for Sarasota.
Sarasota's offense had been absolutely rolling so far, only a brick wall could stop them now, its name is the Chicago Butchers. Halfway through the first quarter of week 1, Chicago stopped Sarasota at the Chicago 35 yard line. Instead of punting, Sarasota felt confident, and decided to have King attempt a 52 yard field goal. His kick was good, and scored three points for Sarasota. Late in the first quarter, RB John Huntsman punched the ball in from 3 yards out to score a TD, this would be their only TD of the game. King's extra point attempt was good, and scored one more point for Sarasota. With 23 seconds left in the second quarter, after a defensive pass interference penalty, King lined up for a 41 yard field goal attempt. King remained automatic on the season as his kick was right down the middle once more, and scored three more points for Sarasota. Sarasota did not score again this game.
Halfway through the first quarter of week 1, Sarasota drove down to the Colorado 36 yard line, but was facing 4th and 3. After being held to a scoreless second half last week, the offense desperately wanted points. So Sarasota decided to let King attempt a 53 yard field goal. After being automatic until this point, the cyborg malfunctioned, and he missed the kick wide left. Just 3 minutes later, Carter Knight hit Nick Kaepercolin Jr. for a huge 75 yard TD pass. King seemed to recalibrate himself as his extra point attempt was good. On the first play of the second quarter, Knight hit receiver Spence for an 11 yard TD pass. King's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Halfway through the second quarter, Knight hit Huntsman for a 5 yard TD pass. King's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the second quarter, Knight got his fourth TD pass of the game, this time a 1 yard completion to his TE Lucius Salem. King's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the third quarter, Knight completed another 11 yard TD pass, this time to Huntsman. King's fifth extra point attempt of the game was good, adding one more point to Sarasota's total. Late in the third quarter, Knight completed a 10 yard TD pass to Messi for his sixth passing TD of the game. King's sixth extra point attempt of the game was good. Halfway through the fourth quarter, and facing 4th and goal from the Colorado 8 yard line with the game already well in hand, Sarasota let King attempt a 25 yard field goal. After missing his first kick of the game, King had been perfect since. He would remain perfect since as his second field goal attempt, and eighth kick of the game was good, and scored three more points for Sarasota.

In the first quarter of week 1, it took until halfway through the first quarter for Yellowknife to score their first points of the season. It came halfway through the first quarter, and it was in the form of a 2 yard run by RB Kumquat Archipelago to punch the ball in to the end zone. Double Doink, the Yellowknife kicked walked out on to the field with the chance to score points for the first time this season. Doink's extra point attempt was good, and scored one more point for Yellowknife. Doink's kick was right down the middle, and added three more points to Yellowknife's total. Early in the fourth quarter, Doink got to attempt their 5th 40+ yard field goal attempt in a single game. That has to be some kind of record, right? Regardless, Doink's kick was good once more, scoring three more points for Yellowknife, and probably shattering the single game record for 40+ yard field goals in a single game.
In week 2 it took Yellowknife until the second quarter to score for the first time, but they did manage to score on the first play of the second quarter. A 21 yard pass from QB Dustin Parmalee to receiver Bernd D. Brot resulted in a TD. Doink's extra point attempt was good, and scored another point for Yellowknife. With 20 seconds left in the second quarter, Yellowknife made us all question if they were going for a sort of challenge run for their kicker as Doink lined up for a 40 yard field goal attempt, their sixth of the season, despite this being the sixth field goal attempt so far. Doink's kick was good, and added three more points to Yellowknife's total. Just 2 plays later, and this 'challenge run' was over. After a turnover set Yellowknife up on the Baltimore 21 yard line with just 6 seconds left in the second quarter, Doink lined up for a 38 yard field goal attempt. Doink's kick was right down the middle, and scored three points for Yellowknife. Early in the fourth quarter, Yellowknife drove all the way down to the Baltimore 4 yard line, but was unable to make it in to the end zone, so they decided to take the points. Doink lined up for a chip shot 21 yard field goal attempt. Doink's kick was good, and scored three more points for Yellowknife.
In week 3, Yellowknife was able to score a TD before 5 minutes passed. With 11:20 on the clock in the first quarter, Parmalee connected with Brot who ran to the end zone for a 28 yard TD pass. Doink's extra point attempt was good. 6 minutes later, Yellowknife did something they had not done yet all season, score more than one TD in a game. RB Bradley Welch ran the ball in to the end zone from 5 yards out to score a TD. Doink's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Early in the second quarter, Yellowknife found themselves stopped on the Colorado 1 yard line. Instead of going for it, they decided to take the points, and let Doink attempt an 18 yard field goal. Doink's glorified extra point attempt was good, and scored three points for Yellowknife. Late in the second quarter, Doink was able to attempt a field goal, and it was another 40+ yard attempt, this time a 44 yard field goal try. Doink's kick was good, and scored three points for Yellowknife. 3 and a half minutes later, Doink lined up for a 49 yard field goal attempt. Doink's kick was once again good, and added three more points to Yellowknife's total. Early in the fourth quarter, Parmalee connected with Troy Abed in the end zone for a TD pass. Doink's third extra point attempt of the game was good. Late in the fourth quarter, Kumquat Archipelago iced the game entirely with a 2 yard TD run. Doink's fourth extra point attempt of the game was good, and scored one more point for Yellowknife.
Late in the first quarter of week 4, Parmalee found Brot in the end zone for a 6 yard TD pass. Doink's extra point attempt was good. Doink attempted a 47 yard field goal, and their kick was good, scoring three points for Yellowknife. Halfway through the third quarter, Bradley Welch punched the ball in from 1 yard out to score a TD. Doink's second extra point attempt of the game was good. Going in to the season, Colorado had optimism about their offense, that offense did not show up in the first quarter of week 1 as they did not score in the first quarter of week 1. Colorado got off to a very slow start scoring in week 3. Opal's extra point attempt was good. Later in the third quarter, Opal lined up for a 28 yard field goal attempt, their kick was good, and resulted in three points for Colorado.
For the third time in the first four weeks, Colorado was held scoreless through the first quarter. Dog time

My dog's name is Kylee, she is a very good girl, but she can be a bit devious at times. Kylee is mostly Terrier, but also has a bit of Maltese and Poodle in her. Being mostly Terrier, she has small dog syndrome. For those unaware, small dog syndrome is when a small dog thinks they are much bigger than they actually are, and is the reason most small dogs are very aggressive when it comes to barking.

We got Kylee when I was in 6th grade which was 7 and a half years ago, wow time flies. Anyway, she had come up from a high kill shelter in Georgia with her mom and 3 sisters. Plans to arrange a reunion fell through when the pandemic hit.

From the start, whenever Kylee got something she knew she was not supposed to have, she would do something very sneaky with it. Instead of running around to raise the alarm, she would instead walk by calmly as if nothing was wrong, so that she would not raise the alarm. It usually was not until we heard chewing noises that we realized she had something she was not supposed to have, at which point we had to chase her down.

She has also had moments of extreme calculation where I wonder if that was what she truly intended to do. Like that one time at my grandparents' house where she realized when going down some stairs that they were a bit too steep for her, so she did the only thing that made sense in that scenario, and jumped off the staircase, bounced off the wall, and landed on her feet. She started about 8 feet up.

Now whenever Kylee gets something she is not supposed to have, she usually does not actually want anything to do with it. Instead she just wants to be chased, and the easiest way of getting that to happen is to take something she is not supposed to have, walking by us repeatedly with it hanging out of her mouth, one of us notices, and the chase is on. Say what you will, it is a rather effective method for getting what she wants.

When on walks, Kylee wants to play with every other dog she sees. But she has a strange method of going about it usually. Instead of going up to the other dogs, she will instead lean down and start 'stalking' them. Then when we get close enough she will jump up and go say hi. Then she remembers that she has small dog syndrome, and begins barking at the much larger dog. She will usually calm down quickly, and make a new friend this way though.

Kylee is completely fine whenever a car goes by the house, but if it is an Amazon Prime truck, all bets are off. She will bark at the Amazon Prime truck because there is a non zero percent chance that the human driving that truck gets out, and will come up to the door.

Kylee is a strange dog, but she is my dog, and I personally would not exchange her for any other dog in the world.

(Picture after a long day of protecting the house from neighbors going to their own houses.)
