Offensive Player of the Week

Running Back – John Huntsman – Sarasota - @Fronk

Huntsman showed the league and Sarasota why he isn't quite ready to give up the Number 1 Running Back role to teammate Pete Zuh. Huntsman was a beast on the field with a total of 486 All Purpose Yards, 264 Rushing and 222 Receiving. The 222 Receiving Yards in particular as it came from only 12 receptions for an average of 18.5 Yards Per Reception on 16 targets. Huntsman also average almost 7 YPC, which definitely helped the Sailfish convert first downs on it's way to a 2-1 week. Huntsman had a slow start to the season but it seems like he is heating up and could help Sarasota lock up that #1 Seed in the NSFC sooner rather then later.

Honorable Mentions

Offensive Tackle - Beniri T'Chawama - Honolulu - @Dextaria
32 Pancakes, 0 Sacks Allowed, 0 Penalties

Defensive Player of the Week

Defensive Tackle - Lennay Kekua - Sarasota - @DeadlyPlayer

It's no surprise that the Sailfish are 6-1 through 7 games when they have two players winning a Player of the Week Award. Kekua was doing the dirty work in the trenches for Sarasota. The DT filled the stat sheet with 9 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks. They also forced 2 fumbles while recovering 1 of them. Lennay also played a clean week with no missed tackles or penalties. It's shaping up to be an All Pro season for Lennay Kekua.

Honorable Mentions

Jasper Fontaine - Safety - Philadelphia - @lordcoolcats
16 Tackles, 3 PDs, 2 FF, 2 Int, 1 TD

Special Teams Player of the Week

Kicker/Punter – Double Doink – Yellowknife - @sarah

There were a number of Kickers who were perfect on FGs and XPs this week, but it was ultimately the punting game that pushed our choice over the top. Double Doink had an insane 75% of their punts land inside the opponents 20, pinning them deep in their own zone and with the Wraiths stout defense it's no wonder the team has the same record as Sarasota at 6-1 after going 3-0 this week after holding opponents to an average of 10 points per game. It's hard for an offense to put up points when they're consistently backed up against their own end zone. All other punters take notice!

Honorable Mentions
Shoutout to Swantavius King K/P Sarasota for breaking the record for longest punt with an 89 yard boot! Obliterating the previous record by 8 yards. @"Maglubiyet"
