Hello ISFL! With all of the CTC mystery in the league, there is some pretty big news to break. After a long few days that had our stadium broken into, our bells destroyed, and our ownership taken it is time to come clean about what is really going on with Philadelphia. After a ton of long conversations with the team and the war room, we felt like there was a great opportunity to make our mark on the ISFL. While we all respect the current team we play for, we had a desire to make a change that we think is not only great for us, but for the ISFL as well.

Cape Town Crash!

The first logo will be our primary logo, the second logo will be our helmet logo, and the third logo is a fun alternate!
I'm sure you're all wondering why we decided to rebrand, so lets talk about that.
Why Cape Town?
In the major simulation leagues, the overwhelming majority of teams are based in North America or Europe. We wanted to add to that international calling of the league by narrowing our search down to Asia or Africa. We ended up deciding on Africa as the desired location for the team, as the continent is rich with culture, intrigue, and some amazing possibilities for locations and names.
Cape Town is one of the main population and cultural centers for the entirety of South Africa. The city is South Africa's second main economic center and Africa's third main economic hub city. Cape Town is not only a popular international tourist destination in South Africa, but Africa as a whole. This is due to its mild climate, beautiful natural setting, and well-developed infrastructure. The city boasts a population of over 4 million citizens—a potential audience nearly triple that of Philadelphia.
The Crash
No, we are not rebranding as the crash because we tend to crash and burn in the regular season. We just wanted a great animal mascot that paired with our new city! The group identification for the Rhinoceros is a "Crash". We think this is a really cool branding rather than the Rhinos as it has uniqueness to it as well.
The Rhinoceros is a well known animal located in Africa and Southeast Asia. This includes South Africa, home to considerable populations of the Southern White Rhinoceros and South-Central Black Rhinoceros. Rhinos are large and aggressive and have a reputation for being resilient, something we hope the sim will acknowledge.

It has been an honor and a privilege for the Philadelphia Liberty to serve as one of the original charter franchises within the ISFL. This team no doubt possesses a great deal of history, both as an institution itself, but also through all of the amazing players that have called Philadelphia their home. We will strive to continue to promote the values that Philadelphia had through our new team and honor them as they truly deserve. We hope that the ISFL community appreciates and enjoys the rebrand as much as we do!
