*NFL Wild Card: Vikings vs. Giants instant takes - titanfan34 - 01-16-2023 Yesterday marked a heart breaking loss for the Vikings in the NFL wild card against the giants. Here is what stood out in the game. 1. Ed Donatell's Defense wasn't good enough.  the Vikings offense did their part on sunday, even if it wasn't the best at times. You have to be honest though, even if you are a Giants fan. The Vikes defense kept the Giants in the game. Missed tackles, blown coverage, and making Daniel Jones look like an MVP QB might be enough to make Donatell Pack his bags. 2. The Giants showed up to play football    The Giants came to U.S Bank stadium ready to play. While the Vikings defense helped, the effort by the Giants really deserves credit. We'll see if they have what it takes to knock off the number 1 Eagles this week. 3. Offense, Offense, Offense Both teams came in, and left with the offense carrying the team. Sure, there were great defensive plays by both sides but it was mostly offensive plays 4. The Giants know how to block for Saquon Barkley The Giants were also really great at getting Saquon Barkley down the field by keeping the defense (or lack there of) from getting to him.
