Zap's Behaviour Punishment - DarknessRising - 01-18-2023 Hello ISFL As most would have heard by now, user @ In detail to be transparent about why this became a two-step procedure rather than instituting an immediate ban, whilst he was permanently banned in our affiliate leagues swiftly, there was none of this such behavior that took place within the ISFL. Until today, this would have been required under our code of conduct policy. For HO, this complicated the matter as we have never taken such action, even when it is so obviously justifiable, based on actions in another league. This lead HO to internally discussing changes to the rules to permit such actioning to took place. With the rule worked out and passed a HO vote, it was taken to both ISFL and DSFL GMs for an emergency rule vote, where it has passed. The rule is as follows, although with discussion there may be future tweaks to the language of the rule. Add the following as clause e. to IX.C.1: e. Takes place in any online or public space and; (1) would meet the requirements of this rule if it took place in an official league owned space or public facing area and (2) can reasonably be confirmed as the same person with an account in the ISFL and (3) there exists reasonable suspicion that similar offenses will occur in an ISFL space." I can understand that the silence and time to reach this action was too long for quite a lot of users to see, however I hope that it can be understood that HO was ensuring that their I's were dotted and T's crossed. Nothing, absolutely nothing gives anyone a right to dehumanize and devalue another individual based on race, gender, religion, age, abilities etc. etc. and it is not even a question of whether that should be punished, just getting the punishment out. On behalf of HO to those that felt it was too slow of a response, I apologize and sincerely hope you can see how we went about this and that we never for a second will allow this behavior, or a chance for it to happen, in our league spaces. This is a community environment where people come first, and that should always be at the heart of what sim leagues do. With such dark and evil-spirited attacks on individuals taking place in recent days, this is a great time to talk to one another positively, compliment someone and ask about their day in an effort to make them feel welcomed and lift their spirits. Lets put aside one person's inexcusable actions and reaffirm sim leagues as a positive environment where everyone is included, celebrated and a valued part of our community RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - zaynzk - 01-18-2023 RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - 124715 - 01-18-2023 rip bozo RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - g2019 - 01-18-2023 get rekt, Zap RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - Sebster - 01-18-2023 W RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - Kotasa - 01-18-2023 W RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - DatSmolBoi - 01-18-2023 Who RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - Raven - 01-18-2023 Based HO RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - unconfident - 01-18-2023 Bro got zapped RE: Zap's Behaviour Punishment - CLG Rampage - 01-18-2023 |
