18. As probably the only TRUE kick return specialist in the S41 draft I should be on every teams draft list even if it is a late round pick. As kick return specialist I will bring speed, quickness, elusiveness, and the ability to make big plays in the return and passing game. A good kick returner can provide a spark for the team by creating great field position, momentum swings and maybe even take it all the way. As a user I am an established veteran and updater that will bring valuable sim league experience to any locker room that I join. I am not controversial and will earn at a steady pace. My goal as a player is to be a valuable player that can spark the offense and defense with a clutch return and be a deep threat when the defense least expects it and change the tide of a game

19.If whatever team I lands on plans to build a new stadium I would be ecstatic to be one of the first players to take the field there. here are some things that I would dream they would have for us.

Player tracking Technology: it would be amazing if the stadium installed motion tracking cameras that could track movement and tendencies so that teams can study in real-time and gameplan.

Updated locker rooms- All players want super cool locker rooms, as a player I would love an underwater treadmill, whirlpool, VR training area, gatorade sponsored cafe/ fuel station, computer center, and amazon delivery case,

Unique seating options: Even though I wouldn't experience it, for my friends and family I would love to give them under ground seats so they can see a unique angle of the field and players, aside from that I think a full service cafeteria and waterpark would be an amazing addition to a new stadium

24. If I were in charge of ultimus halftime show performance I'm bringing in a Drum Corps to demolish the ears of fans and spectactors around the world. Since it is in Arizona this year I guess we will bring in the local corps The Academy, who are out of Tempe, Arizona. The Academy are not a top 12 corps so they should be pretty cost efficient. I dont think there has ever been a televised drum corps halftime show for the ultimus, but it will not be an issue for the producers. there is a great behind the scenes video about the DCI (drum corps international) production team and how they setup the shots and features. I think this performance will wow and entice people who are unaware of how spectacular the marching arts can be and the amazing spectacles that people couldn't imagine could be completed with people and their instruments.

If my player, the riddler was not a wide receiver, i think he would make for an excellent business consultant. He would bring his unique brand of intelligence and creativity to help organizations solve complex problems and improve their operations. His love for puzzles and mental challenges would enable him to approach business problems in innovative and unconventional ways, resulting in creative and effective solutions. His specialty would be vendor and partner relationship management and creating unqiue strategies to engage them into buying and investing more into his clients core business. This would be through competitions, incentive offerings, as well as customized technology enhancements to make performing transactions more fun and creating a "game" element to them. All in all the abilities that the riddler posess can easiliy be transfered to his business intelligence and expertise and instead of using his intellect for harm like in the DC comics, or on the field with his deception he will be a valuable asset for corporate profits.

RE: (S40) Offseason Task - CROney3 - 02-07-2023

18. The season is over and the draft is coming up. What do you bring to a team, and why should a team choose to take a chance on you next season?
As a 6 ft 4 in possession receiver, Benji Aguilera brings a red zone presence, much like Eric Decker in his days at the U of M, New York, and Denver. He loves the game of football. Eats, sleeps, and breathes sim football. His goal for the short term is to work on his long speed in order to get those deep balls, where he can high point over the shorter defensive backs, along with his competitiveness to shake those pesky tackles in order to be a first down machine.
Benji brings a locker presence that is infectious (in the good way!). He is willing to take his rookie hazing while learning the ropes but wants to share his knowledge with those who will listen. You want a player that will talk trash to the other team and defend his teammates? Then Benji is your guy!

19. Your team has announced that they will be laying ground on a new stadium next season. What additions would you like to see included in it.
Hot tubs, buffets, and a state of the art workout facility. Oh, and real (sim) grass. I don’t want to lose a year or two due to a horrific ACL or Achilles tear if the ground does not have any give. The opponents can have a bright pink and yellow and brown locker room. That should set the mood for them. They can have some lukewarm water in their showers, not hot enough to be enjoyable but enough to have them think it’ll get warmer to they stay in the shower longer. Play some mind games, ya know?
Lastly, I want all of the fans to have comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. And reasonable concession prices. They don’t need to spend $13 on a beer, let us make sure they can get a couple beers and a hot dog for that price. That way, fans will be happy and boozed up and will be able to drown out the opponents offense!

26. If your player wasn't a professional in the ISFL/DSFL, what would they be doing instead?
Well, being born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, the obvious answer would be a farmer. Benji’s grandparents owned a 90 acre farm full of corn, wheat, cattle, pigs, chickens, and various fruit and vegetables. He spent many summers in his youth bailing hay and milking cows. It definitely gave him his work ethic that is still readily apparent on the football field.
As his grandparents grew older and his parents were more entrenched into their respective careers, the family farm was sold as they no longer had the help to keep it running. Since Benji was focused on his promising athletic career, he always felt like he should have been around more to help. So with the guilt that Benji feels, if he wasn’t developing his football career, he would definitely have taken over the farm when the time came. Who knows, maybe he will earn enough money that he can buy the farm back once he hangs up the cleats!

27. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why?
There were a few positions that I was debating between when choosing my player. Since I enjoyed playing wide receiver growing up, I ultimately went with that. But if that wasn’t available, I would have picked the position on the opposite side of the field, outside linebacker. There’s something about being involved in all aspects of the defensive side that is very appealing. I think most football fans love a good blitz and watching a linebacker just absolutely crush the quarterback. But it’s also enjoyable watching a backer fill in the gaps to meet the halfback at the line to stop them for no gain. Also being asked to cover the lumbering tight ends and ruining their day is a great feeling.
Since most people like watching their player during the sims, it’s appealing to pick a position that is likely to be involved in each play no matter what happens. So I’d have to go with (outside) linebacker.

Dear CJ Bosa,

Yo CJ, man going from Clemson to the Dallas Birddogs is crazy. Clemson was so much fun but you know its small so to be in Dallas everyday is crazy. The buildings are huge. They ain't lying when they said everything is bigger in Texas. My bad I know that wasn't funny. But man my first season was fun. I started in the playoffs as a rookie corner! We lost but they barely threw to me all game but it doesn't matter since we didn't get the win. I started off crazy slow this year and that's because I was lost trying find my way around. I didn't know what to do or who to ask for help but being in the pros is definitely about the right situation. The whole front office came together and started working like crazy to help me. We were pulling 2 and 3 extra workouts each day on top of practice to get my skills right. I wanted to quit so many time and just go back to Clemson to coach with Dabo. My roommate CJ Miggs had to talk me out of it like everyday because I was lost and the extra workouts weren't working. But the guys never gave up on me and eventually it all clicked and now look at me. Soon as it clicked again it became just like Clemson. No one would throw my way because I was like Revis Island. The only problem was the ISFL still wasn't showing interest but Miggs just kept telling me to keep working and focus on the man thing. So that's what I did. Those 2 and 3 extra workouts each day lasted all season long. Not only that but since I don't have class anymore I replaced that time with extra film studies with experienced ISFL members. I just kept focusing on getting better for the Birddogs and helping them win instead of worrying about the ISFL. Slowly more attention came. A few teams came at first and they all seemed to really like the first round of interviews but I still wasn't on many teams radars. Eventually 2 teams flew me out for in person interviews and workouts. I think they went good but I'm not sure honestly. Then it all just stopped with the ISFL scouting me. I thought I blew it CJ. So one of the front office guys with the Birddogs told me that if we make the playoffs that's more film which means more attention so you know what I had to do. Loss the first round but it work though. Literally the moment the playoffs ended a ton of teams started calling my agent. I even had an interview with GameDay Talks which you better not have missed. Like it's all so crazy right now. I'm working out with Coach Prime one day in Colorado then flying to Miami to workout with Coach Surtain the next day like its crazy man. I still think I'm under the radar though because no one really knows where I'm projected to go in the draft but I'm trying my hardest man to be number one. I'm reaching out to everyone that I can to get as much information as possible on how to be good in this league. I want it so bad. The draft is Saturday though so I want you to be there. I got you a suit already so you can't really say no. I want you to experience this moment with me and that way you can see the vision for you. You gonna be here one day soon and we gonna go crazy together my man. I ain't gonna lie I could write to you all day but I gotta go because I got a scouting interview schedule. Ima see you soon my man and can't wait for you to meet my guy Miggs. Peaceout!

From,
Bobby Steel, Birddogs CB

Task 16

For the Yellowknife Wraths, this past season has been an absolute dream come true, beyond a few bumps in the road. We started our season with a 44-13 beat down of the team that defeated us in the playoffs last season in the Berlin Fire Salamanders. After that we went on an unprecedented 3 shutout win streak, defeating the Colorado Yeti 40-0, the Cape Town Crash 26-0, and the Baltimore Hawks 28-0. We then were at home versus the Sarasota Sailfish where the Sailfish would manage to score more points then any of the Wraiths previous opponents combined, with the Wraiths winning in overtime 37-34 off of a 58 yard Double Doink field goal.

The Wraiths next opponent would be the San Jose Sabercats, who we would beat rather handly 27-6. We would then destroy the Chicago Butchers 62-14, and our winning streak would continue on until we had a rather surprising loss to the Berlin Fire Salamanders 12-34, snapping our winning streak at 11-1. We would get two wins to make up for it versus the New Orleans Second Line 20-13 and the Baltimore Hawks 51-6. We would hit a bit of a skid in the last two games, losing versus the Sailfish and the Butchers on the road, but we still earned the first overall seed in the playoffs.

Our conference championship opponent would be the Chicago Butchers, where despite starting out down 14-0, we would rally to a 48-27 victory. We would then face the Arizona Outlaws in the Ultimus Championship, where we would win rather handily 34-6 despite only being up 10-6 by halftime. I guess I can say that there is not much I would want to change about this season, beyond maybe not losing to Berlin. As for what the Wraiths will do going forward, I still think we will be very competitive next season given how much of our defensive core is still intact despite starting a new QB.

Task 17

For the Ultimus game MVP, it is a hard choice between Adrian St.Christmas and Zephyr GreyWolf. However, since Greywolf is a wolf, Adrian just decided to take him with him to Disney world as a pet. Adrian would start his trip by signing some autographs for some of the kids around the park. He actually made a Cinderella actor slightly jealous because of the attention he was getting, however he gave her an autograph as well and took a picture with her. Greywolf would also put a paw print signature on the autograph. Adrian then went on the Tower of Terror, which did scare him a bit because he thought the rise wasn't working before it sped him down.

He then went on the Space Mountain and Rock and Roller Coaster rides before taking a break in the concessions and singing a few more autographs. The last ride he went on that day was the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, where soon after he went back to the hotel to rest from the craziness of the visit.

RE: (S40) Offseason Task - bechtudo - 02-08-2023

Tier 1 - task 1:

S39 Ultimus champion Yellowknife Wraiths made it clear all season long that they were in this for the long run. Going 11-0 to start the season showed the league who is the team to beat this season. Lead by MVP candidate RB Kumquat Archipelago a 5th year player. He managed 2000+ all purpose yards in the season (1336 yards rushing with 19 TDs plus 720 receiving yards with 3 TDs). In the playoffs Wraiths QB Adrian ST. Christmas showed his best performances when he was on the peak of his game. He managed a 68% completion percentage going 64-for-94 for 743 yards and 11 TDs.and surprise, surprise another playoff hero on offense for the Wraiths was RB Kumquat Archipelago rushing for almost 300 yards in the three playoff games and scoring 4 rushing TDS as well as 3 receiving TDs. He caught 15 passes for 175 yards. For the season the defense of the Wraiths was an even bigger part of the success. 63 sacks and 17 interceptions combined with 24 forced fumble really hurt the opponents of the Wraiths. The linebacking corps consisting of Zephyr Greywolf, Jack McPherson and Kahn Cussion accounted for 44 sacks. Interception leader for the Wraiths during the regular was CB Kalam Mekhar with 9. The dominance on defense also shows looking at the standings especially the PA (points allowed) column. The Wraiths allowed 221 points and the second best team in that category were the Austin Copperheads with 319. Almost 100 points difference between the Wraiths and the rest of the league shows how great this team defense was. In the divisional round of the playoffs the Wraiths faced the Clorado Yeti but it was only a game for one half. The Wraiths lead at halftime 28-21 but did not allow anymore points in the second half and took the game by the final score 45-21 to advance to the conference championship. he opponent were the Chicago Butchers and it was again a game of two halfs. At halftime the Butchers lead 17-13 but only managed 10 points in the second half when the Wraiths offense came into gear and 5 TD on the way to a 48-27 win and a place in the Ultimus championship game where the Wraiths faced the Arizona Outlaws. The Outlaws scored 2 FGs in the championship game and the Yellowknife Wraiths took the title in convincing fashion with a 34-6 win.

In the DSFL the defending champion Kansas City Coyotes achieved a rare feat by going back-to-back and defended their title in the Ultimini against the Norfolk Seawolves. The score in the Ultimini championship game was 44-20. It was the second championship game in a row for these two franchises and both times the Coyotes were successful. The Coyotes have been a very rounded team this season. Looking at the key stats on offense the Kansas City team was 1st in yards per game with 395.9, the first place in YPG was the result of being 3rd in rusg ypg with 135.9 and 4th in pass ypg with an average of 260.0. The Coyotes also were 2nd in points per game with an average of 26.7, Looking at the defense key stats the Coyotes were 1st in PPGA (points per game allowed) with a 19.9 average. The yards allowed showed the Coyotes as 3rd in pass ypga and 6th in rush ypga which gave them the number 4 ranking in total YPGA. Coyotes QB Creg Jerrith IV is in the top 3 of all QB categories (passing yards, passing TDs and QB rating). The main targets in the passing game were rookie WR Jimmy Ryder (1157 yds) and WR Monty Cooper (1081 yards). The two wide receivers also accounted for 20 TDs. On the ground RB Sherwin Blue jr. lead the rushing attack with 1293 yards and 11 TDs, he also caught 35 passes for 398 yards and one TD. In the playoffs the Coyotes faced the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the conference championship and the game was one by the score of 31-21. Minnesota lead in the game 21-17 in the 4th quarter with 8:10 on the clock but the Coyotes scored two TDs within 2 minutes and 20 seconds mainly poised by a 75 yard punt return which lead to the last TD in the game. In the Ultimini championship game the Coyotes faced the Norfolk Seawolves which they played twice during the regular season and each time the home team won. In the Ultimini game the Coyotes dominated the Seawolves outgaining them 454 - 273 in total yards and the final score also showed the dominance with 44-20. The playoff MVP for the Coyotes should be the QB who accomplished the following stat line for the two playoff games: 29/38 for 492 yards and 3 TDs. Another player with great impact in the playoff games was RB Blibby Shpoopy with 3 rushing and 1 receiving TD.

21. If there was a show starring K.K. Slider from Animal Crossing, it would probably be a musical variety show. K.K. Slider is known for playing music in the game, so the show could feature him performing different musical genres and styles, with guest appearances from other Animal Crossing characters. It could also incorporate elements of the charming and whimsical world of Animal Crossing, such as talking animals and island life. Or maybe we could even make it like an American Idol type show where KK was like the Ryan Seacrest of the show, but also sang some songs, but then the characters competed against each other singing songs for the judges. But it could ALSO be like Survivor where if they sucked at singing KK snuffed their torch and kicked em off the island for good! At the end of the series the person who won the competition would get to take over the museum from Blathers, and also 1000000 bells! Also I guess Tom nook could be simon, isabell could be paula, and maybe the twins could be some sort of randy charater. What a stupid idea. (188 words)(

24. If I had the opportunity to direct the half-time show, the only real option for who to get would be Red Panda.  If you don't know who Red Panda is, first of all I feel sorry for you.. She is a performer that often plays half time shows for various sports around the country.  She usually comes out on a giant unicycle which is impressive enough, but then she brings out all these bowls.  She usually starts by stacking the bowls on her feet, (remember she's riding a unicycle) and somehow flipping them up onto her head. She simultaneously rides the unicycle one footed, balances the remaining bowls on her other foot, and balances the other bowls on her head. Its the greatest performance in the history of the earth. I guess we'll need some music too so I'd reach out to the Quad City DJ's and see if they'd be down for a reunion show.  Can you imagine seeing 1000s of hype ISFL fans dancing to "The Train" or that one song from Space Jam? wc: 176

RE: (S40) Offseason Task - Akoustique - 02-08-2023

Tier 1, task 1: The Season 39 Ultimus and Ultimini have officially come to an end. Congratulations to the the Kansas City Coyotes and Yellowknife Wraiths for each winning their respective championships. How did each of the finalists in either the Ultimus or Ultimini arrive at the playoffs? Were there any teams that surprised or disappointed during the playoffs? Did the outcome of either championship game surprise you at all?

Well, well! My midseason DSFL rankings just so happened to be on point! At least in the top spot… Kansas City was in a shaky spot entering the latter half of the season, and yet somehow they made it on top! A one-possession game in the third quarter against Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs cut things close, before Kansas City roared forward and scored two touchdowns, courtesy of their running backs in close quarters. A nailbiter for sure, as Kansas City’s only receiving touchdown came from the hands of Jimmy Ryder in the second quarter.

That same tension was not felt in the Ultimini. Kansas City shot out in front like a bat out of hell starting in the second quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points and finding themselves comfortably ahead of Norfolk the entire time. A 74 percent passing completion rate alongside 300 plus yards in receiving from the team is an astounding stat.

That being said, Norfolk was a bit of a Cinderella story, to begin with. In my midseason rankings, I had them a spot above Bondi Beach, which, as much as I love the Buccaneers, isn’t exactly a high bar. Two wins and five losses was not the start that the Seawolves wanted, and they promptly got back into the swing of things. They ended the season at 9-5, not losing a single game since my evaluation, and never fell behind in their playoff game with the Birddogs, a far cry from the team that didn’t score a single point in their Week 4 fight.

The Ultimini actually happened to be the rubber match between Kansas City and Norfolk. While the Seawolves were shutout in Week 4, they roared back to a 34-10 win against the Coyotes in Week 11. The game could have gone either way, and Kansas City coming out on top was truly a brilliant show of a game.

As far as teams that impressed and disappointed during the Ultimini playoffs this season, I was surprised that Dallas wasn’t one of the teams that found their way into the big game. Norfolk simply had too much momentum in their ensuing playoff game, and while it was a close one at the very end (a three-point difference), Dallas couldn’t follow through.

I was very impressed with Minnesota making their way into the playoffs, even if they didn’t make it to the big game. I had the team ranked at 4th overall in my midseason rankings, and since that media post, they only lost two more games and tied one more. A consistent team is always one that ends up being a contender, and the Grey Ducks are very consistent. Depending on how many of their team gets called up, perhaps they’ll be a contender for the Ultimini next season.

What really shocked me was Portland. The Pythons had a dominating running game, topping the league charts and RB Tyler One setting a new franchise record in rushing yards. That sort of stat is something that should have carried them into the playoffs, but a couple of simple mistakes in a few of their later games unfortunately just barely knocked them out of the competition. With that upcoming draft, I think if Portland commits to their running game and works just a bit on their defense, they could be a real and true contender next Ultimini.

So now, what happens next? The Ultimini is up for grabs with a huge S40 DSFL Draft class this year, and it very well could be that any team could shoot for the stars and find their way into the Ultimini. Let’s go all out and make a prediction for the next Ultimini, shall we? Bondi Beach is on an upward trend, and considering the large draft class there may be a chance they hit the playoffs. Norfolk, however, is gonna be out for blood, and I think they make it into the Ultimini game yet again. Kansas City and Portland are gonna fight it out in the first playoff game next year, and despite the back-to-back champions making it into the championship discussion yet again, I think Portland is gonna come roaring back in and we’ll see a match between the Seawolves and the Pythons.
