Simulated Sharps

Hello there! Welcome to Simulated Sharps presented by Barstool Sportsbook where we take a look at simulated football betting odds.

Today we are taking a look at the upcoming DSFL Season 41 draft. Now, there’s a lot of big names and surefire future Hall of Famers in this class but who is going to be taken at the top? The head office did a great job this offseason turning to reddit to bring in a myriad of new recruits and we get the pleasure today to break down some of the top prospects and look at betting odds on where they will be drafted.

Disclaimer: The following odds were pulled out of my head and are not available to bet anywhere on the forum or in my DMs. If you were not included and feel slighted, I apologize in advance. Best of luck in the draft.

Even with a large draft class, Vegas has determined that there is a clear consensus number one overall pick. Vegas is projecting that safety Mary Marie @aeonsjenni (-250) is the odds on favorite to go first overall to the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Many mocks are showing Mary Marie to be the number one overall favorite and for good reason. Marie has shown dedication to the DSFL as a top media and TPE earner in a short amount of time. This draft class is deep when it comes to safeties but it seems the consensus in Sin City is that Marie will be taken 1st overall.

Another top prospect that could go first overall is linebacker Craig Brand @ElMerchanto (EVEN). Brand already has an incredible rookie card that I’m sure Logan Paul would love to have in a PSA 10. Speculators are lining up at the local card shops to get a shot at pulling one of these illustrious cards. Brand has the making of a hall of famer with his excellent media and large TPE earnings. Any team that drafts Brand will be an immediate contender and it seems Vegas has taken notice by putting his first overall odds at even money.

Next on the list is a linebacker with some DSFL experience, Loose Cannon @Jumbo. Previously playing for the London Royals for a short season, it is highly speculated that the renowned LB will make his return to foggy Londontown and firing away at his opponents. But Vegas is offering odds at (+200) if you feel the Buccaneers might go ahead and spend their first overall pick on Cannon due to his experience, already high TPE, and great activity in the league.

Vegas has two defensive tackles listed at the same odds to go first overall. Billy Jor-El @LtHudz and Dub Redd @wizard_literal both have odds of (+350) to go first overall. This is a very good DT class with Jor-El and Redd being the headliners. Both players have shown great activity in the league with media submissions and would likely be a great locker room presence. It’s no surprise Vegas is taking this into consideration when offering +350 odds on Jor-El and Redd going first overall. Both tackles will fight in the trenches for whichever team drafts them. These are the defensive tackles you are looking for.

There’s definitely some value available for betting the first overall pick. Let’s now take a look now at odds Vegas is offering on players to be selected in the first round.

Looking at the players we already mentioned to go first overall, here are their odds to go in the first round:

Mary Marie (-2500)
Craig Brand (-1500)
Loose Cannon (-1200)
Billy Jor-El (-450)
Dub Redd (-450)

Another great linebacker that any DSFL team would be lucky to have is John Stark VIII @UptownCord. Stark has shown outstanding dedication to the league through media write-ups and great activity to earn him TPE. Stark may have fallen under the radar a bit due to Brand and Cannon being the linebacker favorites but Stark ain’t no joke. Vegas has John Stark VIII at (-200) odds to be selected in the first round of the draft and whichever team takes him will have a dog at linebacker.

A kicker in the first round? You heard it here first. Vegas has favorable odds (-110) that Ray Baker out of Georgetown will be selected in the first round. This is due to Baker’s hard work on and off the field and taking advantage of media and TPE opportunities. With high scarcity at his position, Baker can provide any team that added edge in a close game with his superior accuracy. Teams don’t want their kicker missing 4 kicks in a playoff game or even doinking it off the goal post in the Big Game! Accuracy matters in football and Baker will put them between the uprights. Teams may draft Baker in the first round to get a “leg” up on the competition.

We have a loaded draft class of tight ends as well. Vegas has Max Honestly @"LeSizz" at even odds to be selected in the first round. Max has already shown to be a great presence in the league through his activity and is sure to make a name for himself on the gridiron. We’ve seen mock drafts where all tight ends go in the first round so this may be a value pick right here taking Max Honestly at even odds in the first round. Whichever team drafts him will “honestly” have a great weapon in their arsenal.

All of the aforementioned players are destined to have great careers and are capable of making it to the Hall of Fame. We will watch their careers with great interest. But for now, we will have to keep an eye out to see where they land and try to accurately bet on where they are selected. There’s a lot of value out there when looking to bet on this upcoming draft.

That is all the time we have for today’s show on Simulated Sharps! Thanks to Barstool Sportsbook for sponsoring this double media DSFL Season 41 Draft episode. Stay tuned on Thursday, February 16th to see all the players drafted to their teams!

That's outrageous, there's no way REDACTED could go that high.
