Fresh off the ISFL draft and a red eye flight with numerous connections, Billy Jor-El has finally arrived in Honolulu after an exhausting trip from Minnesota. However, there is no rest for this defensive lineman! Before he can get himself settled into his new home, the press is eager to meet the one of the team's newest, young talents.
@LHarm: What enables you to have the mysterious power that makes every image of you look like it was taken in the 90's?
I don’t understand the question. Is it not still the 90s? Going to Blockbuster, Nintendo versus Sega, MTV with actual music, these are all things still happening, right? Right?? RIGHT???
@UptownCord: How are you feeling about being drafted to Honolulu? What are you looking forward to most?
I’m feeling great about it! I had some great pre-draft conversations with the GMs in Honolulu. Seems like the team is on the upswing. I wouldn’t be surprised if we take the conference this year, maybe start off with like a 7 game win streak or something. Definitely feel like I got drafted to the best team in the ASFC with an animal capable of swimming for their mascot.
@wizard_literal: How do you feel about Honolulu's upcoming season?
I’m feeling great about it! Seems like the team is on the upswing. I wouldn’t be surprised if we take the conference this year, maybe start off with like a 7 game win streak or something. Definitely feel like I got drafted to the best team in the ASFC between two teams that are the furthest apart geographically.

1. What is your favorite animal, vegetable, and mineral?
I’m going to be really lame with my answer here, but I love dogs. Got two of them myself. They are my children and you can fight me on that. I’m a big fan of small dogs; basically the smaller the better. Can I walk around the house with the dog perched on my shoulder? That’s the dream. Tough to pick a favorite vegetable when there are a few that, when made right, are just so good. Love me some really well made brussel sprouts. Roasted just right, drizzled with some balsamic glaze. That’s just delicious right there. I don’t really have a favorite mineral; aren’t they just rocks?
2. What will you miss most about the Grey Ducks once you start playing for Honolulu?
You.
3. You appear suddenly in the year 1066, dressed as a medieval chef in the castle of King William the Conqueror. What do you cook for him?
Some sort of roasted meat. Probably the easiest not to mess up without current technology, and I’m trying to keep my head, thank you very much.
@nickyvmlp: When you go to a bar, what is your preferred drink, karaoke song, and pickup line?
A good anejo tequila on the rocks or a tequila ginger ale. I’m a tequila man at heart. Gonna belt out some Billy Joel Piano Man if we’re at a karaoke place. And I don’t really use pickup lines. Just ask if they mind if you sit next to them and strike up a conversation. However I’ve been taken for a while now so my pickup game is probably very rusty.
@aeonsjenni: what is your favorite non-Honolulu team logo? Please ping @”baz1757” in your answer.
Well I’m a sucker for the color orange, so I’ll have to go with OCO. Also just love the lil guy. That otter is so cute. I’d love to have’em as a pet. I mean, shoot, have you ever seen @”baz1757” play with his 17 pet otters? It’s adorable. Y’all should definitely ask him for a video of it sometime.

1) What is your go to word in Wordle?
I have never played Wordle. I’m not crazy about word based puzzle games. I do love sudoku though. I play that all the time. Gimme numbers over words any day of the week.
2) What do you think would be the best expansion team for each continent?
I am going to use locations within each continent that are currently not used, and animals that are native to those locations:
Africa: Lagos Lightning (with a Cheetah as a the mascot)
Antarctica: Arctic Foxes (look these guys up, they are adorable)
Asia: Osaka Dragons
Australasia/Oceania: Sydney Spiders
Europe: Lisbon Lynxes
North America: Mexico City Axolotl
South America: Buenos Aires Venom (Poison Dart Frog as mascot)
@aeonsjenni: As a defensive tackle, who is your inspiration and why is it Big Edd?
Wow. What a loaded question. I mean, who didn’t want to be like Big Edd growing up? For pete’s sake, the man was born in February the same year as our country declared its independence! Who else can say they had such a Hall of Fame career as a 200+ year old man? And what a force he was, playing for four different ISFL teams! The man did it all. Just an absolute inspiration. You almost want to be him, like a multiple version of him.

1) What odd food combinations do you like?
I like cottage cheese a ton, and will eat it with so many things. Fruit? Of course. Noodles? Delicious. On salad or veggies? Hell yeah. I’ll even go so far as to rate it a 7/5 with rice. I’ll answer an entire extra presser just taking questions on what foods I’d eat with cottage cheese.
2) Should I buy a lizard or a hamster? Maybe a komodo dragon?
Definitely the komodo dragon or lizard. This is not so much a ringing endorsement for the komodo dragon and/or lizard as much as it is a warning against hamsters. From my personal experience with two different hamsters, they are awful pets. Not only do they poop and pee on anything and everything, but their cages absolutely smell awful, even just a day or two after cleaning it.
@aeonsjenni: what's your favorite baseball pitch?
Curve ball. I used to be able to throw a decent 75 mph curve when I was younger. That and a two seam fastball with a bit of movement.
@"ChickenLips": How is Billy adapting to the local cuisine in Hawaii?
Really well. I love sushi, so the poke bowls here are just phenomenal. You also can’t go wrong with some lau lau. Get some pork steamed up just right in those leaves, by god that’s some good stuff right there.
@lemonoppy: Is this your first time in Hawaii? What are you excited to do now that you'll be here for a big part of your year
This is! And boy it’s sure gorgeous. Much nicer weather all around compared to Cleveland and Minnesota. Both places are still near to my heart, but you cannot beat the scenery and weather ‘round here. I really cannot wait to just explore; the mountains, the sight seeing, the food, mostly the food. I’m a huge foodie and pretty much everything I’ve tried so far has been incredible.
@Weaves: Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?
The horse sized duck for sure. I'm a bigger dude and feel like I can take one of em on, you know, one really big duck if need be. But that many small horses would be rough. Horses are built stronger than ducks. Their body composition, their muscles, everything; it would just be a bunch of tiny super soldiers. No thank you.

Definitely just plain ol’ water. Nothin’ fancy, just want to enjoy the meal and have the drink for when I’m thirsty.

Blue cheese. The stuff stinks and tastes nasty.
3) How much spaghetti could you possibly eat in one sitting?
How big are the plates? Regular dinner plate? Three full dinner plates. Heaping. Imma big boy.
4) If you could live in any city that hosts an ISFL or DSFL team where would it be?

That’s pretty fancy for me. Sure we’ve got all sorts of cheeses made on the farm back home, but I’ve never done a charcuterie board before. I love freshly made cheeses; mozzarella, goat cheese, cheddar, and, man, the curds are incredible.

This is pretty similar to the 100 duck sized horses question, but this is different, because the Keebler Elf is real teeny tiny, and the horse sized Keebler Elf is just one really, REALLY big dude. So I’d fight the 100 teeny tiny horses.

I really like all the branding we have for the teams. I think each team is well thought out and the colors are nice. I don’t want to rock the boat as a rookie.
4) Who is the most under the radar cool person in the Minnesota Locker Room?

Cottage cheese on toast. Quick and easy breakfast, good protein, and pretty dang good.
@Baron1898: would you rather cage fight a silverback or a rhino
Oh man… That right there is a tough one. Silverback has the dexterity and strength, but the rhino, I don’t know if I have the strength to take it down, get through it’s toughness. I think I have zero chance against a rhino without any weapons. A silverback? I probably have less than 1 percent chance, but at least it’s somethin’. I’d go silverback. But also, I’d prefer to just not fight either.
