*New User's Draft Experience - DoubleDub - 06-09-2023
Thought I would write a little bit of media about the DSFL draft and my experience with it.
Firstly, I love the process of placing players onto DSFL teams for the end of the season once they create after the TDL. It helped me with building my player and it also helped with remembering to do the point tasks and getting predictions in on time. On top of that it was nice to see my #6 dot run around and occasionally make some plays. Big shoutout to the Royals again for making me feel welcome and helping out with my questions.
Next, the draft process was great - I loved chatting to the different teams and hearing them talk about their teams. It's always my favourite part of sim leagues especially as a new create. I had a lot of great chats and could tell the passion that some people had for their DSFL teams. I had a great chat with FirstFray from the Kansas City Coyotes so I was stoked to be taken by them at seven overall. Does feel like a little bit of 'if you can't beat them, join them' since they did knock out the Royals in last seasons playoffs.
Overall I think the league deserves big props with the set up of the rookie tasks and the other things you can do to gather a solid amount of TPE before your player has even stepped onto the field. I'm super excited to get into the league properly and build a solid player.
