Logan Runswell, born into a middle class family in Glasgow, Scotland was never one to enjoy his nations most popular sport of association football, Logan grew up instead playing on the wing for a local rugby team, when his natural athletic ability was first spotted and he was signed to a youth contract for local professional rugby side Glasgow Warriors, with the Warriors it was clear to see that he was a young and talented athlete and had always been a standout player in rugby union. His exceptional speed, agility, and determination on the field caught the attention of many, including talent scouts from the ISFL academy changing his fate and leading him to take up the sport of American Football. 

Intrigued by the allure of the gridiron, Logan decided to embrace a new challenge and follow his passion for sports, and lets be honest a much larger pay check than the majority of rugby teams would be able to afford. He made the bold decision to leave the comfort of the sport he knew so well behind and embarked on a journey into the world of American football. With an unwavering determination, he set his sights on the ISFL academy—an institution renowned for nurturing promising athletes from around the globe.

At the academy, Logan faced a steep learning curve. The rules, strategies, and skills of football were vastly different from those of rugby. Nevertheless, he approached the game with relentless enthusiasm and an unyielding work ethic, worked on his footwork and game intelligence under the guidance of skilled coaches and mentors, Logan quickly adapted to the nuances of football, honing his technique and understanding of the game. After being at the ISFL academy for a couple of years Logan sent his game footage to NCAA Division 1 football teams all across the USA. Logan's dedication and natural talent soon caught the attention of college recruiters, and offers began pouring in from esteemed American universities. After careful consideration, Logan chose to pursue his collegiate career at Kansas State University, renowned for its rich football tradition.

As a freshman wide receiver, Logan faced fierce competition and a rigorous training schedule. He poured his heart into every practice, seeking to master the craft of being a wide receiver. With each game, his skills flourished, and his presence on the field became undeniable. Logan's speed, agility, and precise route running earned him recognition as one of the most promising players in the college football landscape, however in his senior year Logan got into trouble, on what should have been a routine play, due to the rain that had occurred when Logan went for cut on a route his cleats got stuck in the mud and he ended up breaking his leg. Whilst out recovering from this injury Logan began to spiral and it all culminated in him picking up a drunk and disorderly charge for getting into a fight outside a frat house party. Now despite being a promising player his injury and now notoriety affected his draft stock.

While news of his ability had spread  spread like wildfire, reaching the ears of DSFL  scouts, they now had a real decision on their hands, Was logan a liability, is his behaviour worth picking up a real talent? Their curiosity piqued, they attended Kansas State's games once he had recovered to witness his talent firsthand. Logan's consistency and game-changing plays solidified his place on their radar, positioning him as a mid tier talent for the DSFL draft.

The draft day arrived, and Logan's anticipation mingled with nervous excitement. Surrounded by family, friends, and his college teammates, he awaited the life-changing moment when his name would be called. As the draft progressed, tension filled the room until, finally, the phone rang. Logan Runswell's dream was about to become a reality.

The Dallas Birddogs selected Logan with the first pick of the second round (pick 9). Ecstatic and grateful, Logan embraced the opportunity to showcase his skills on the grandest stage of them all. He understood that the journey had only just begun, and the challenges ahead would demand his utmost dedication and perseverance.

As Logan donned the iconic jersey of the BirdDogs, he felt a surge of pride and determination. He had come a long way, from playing rugby in Glasgow to being drafted into the DSFL. Logan was ready to embrace the challenges of the professional football world, armed with the skills, resilience, and passion that had brought him this far and he hopes this change in attitude and a willingness to learn will serve him well in his quest to make the ISFL. 

Logan Runswell's story served as an inspiration to aspiring athletes around the world, proving that with unwavering dedication, hard work, and a willingness to embrace new challenges, dreams can be realized, even in the most unexpected ways.
