MOCK DRAFT FOR MONEY!

Yes it’s that time again, time for me to shill my poorly backed and heavily biased analysis for money in the form of a somewhat early ISFL mock draft. Remember that I know nothing and cannot be trusted for any real insight into draft orders. I'm only doing 2 rounds because I procrastinated and my wife made me do things. If the budget sheet is out of date and leads to wrong picks, I blame Zoot for the following results as of Week 13.

ASFC:
ARI ARIZONA ARI
Positional Needs:
TE - Arizona needs to invest in a TE or just yolo it with bots. Currently they have no active prospects at the position, and while its not a premium one, it is still an important one to have a decent starter at.
OL - They have a strong LT who’s fairly young, and a regressing RT currently. They do have the Beeg Yoshi on deck to fill that void, but you can never have too many lineman.
DE - At a glance they appear to need a DE, but they have a solid DT corps with a good prospect coming up soon. So really this would be a luxury pick.
LB - Currently its a stacked LB room, but all are soon to hit regression hard. This is the perfect window to draft the LB of the future.

Picks:
S43 NOLA R1 - 1 OA - LB - Iman Outlaw | 232 TPE - Top rated LB on the board, 3OA in TPE Big Board. Easy pick, especially with the naming and team combo.

S43 AZ R1 - 14 OA - DE- Wing Gundam | 205 TPE - This is probably the steal of the 1st round, getting the best defensive end in the draft at the end of the round is theft, while also plugging a bit of a hole coming up.

S43 AZ R2 - 28 OA - CB - Paul Dosza | 209 TPE - GM pick for Simo here, its an absolute win grabbing a top 10 player at the end of the 2nd round.

AUS AUSTIN AUS
Positional Needs:
QB - Queen Elizabeth II, though long lived, is going to quickly be declining. The window to draft her replacement is now.
TE - Penne is going to regress further and with no strong TE candidate on the roster, this is a potential need. Amidala could be a replacement if they earn more or Austin is ok with a focus elsewhere.
CB - All three of Austin’s starting CBs are close to or hitting regression next season. They should be fine for a couple of seasons as their CB1 and CB2 are both great earners, but drafting a replacement now would ensure a smooth transition.
WR - Not a dire need, but no high end prospects currently on the roster as send downs either. This would probably only happen if the board fell to BPA.

Picks:
S43 COL R1 - 3 OA - WR - Thomas Sutha | 219 TPE - Number 4 on the TPE bigboard, and the top WR in the class. This is a big user pick as well, because while WR isn't a huge need, Lemon is a top tier new user that is a welcome addition to the league.
S43 AUS R1 - 12 OA - S - Tha Thu Craicte | 179 TPE - A bit of a reach at their current TPE, but Austin needs secondary help and the transition to CB is reasonable. DeadlyPlayer is a known user and will earn to support that. This is a bit of a speculative pick, but I could see it happening.
S43 NYS R1 - 13 OA - QB - C. G Breezy Jr | 163 TPE - Austin has a history of trying to make running QBs and dual QBs work, so why the hell not.
S43 AUS R2 - 26 OA - WR - Huck Indarts | 162 TPE - This is a luxury pick but could be a good find for them in the 2nd. It should also pan out with the QB of the future whomever that may be.

HON HONOLULU HON
Positional Needs:
TE - Only one on the roster who is regressing hard, this is urgent if they plan to use TEs.
WR3 - Luxury pick, they have 2 strong up and comers but could fill out the slot WR role here.
S - Again, they have decent young S’s, but grabbing a max earner would fill out the secondary going forward.

Picks:
None in the 1st or 2nd rounders, no mock. Maybe they can find some help in the 3rd.

NOLA NEW ORLEANS NOLA
Positional Needs:
RB - While they have 2 potential starters, if RB is BPA, then this could be timed right to have a very strong backfield in line with their window.
DT - Optional pick here as the DE’s on the roster are solid. But having at least one good DT would contribute to run defense nicely regardless of scheme
WR 3 - Both the young WRs on the roster project to be the WR1 and WR2 next season, so drafting an additional for a couple seasons from now to go with the up and coming QB would be a decent pick.

Picks:
S43 BER R1 - 11 OA - DT - Sack Sparrow | 202 TPE - They get the #2 DT, at a position of need, towards the end of the first. This is good value and the user Water has proven to be a great LR presence.
S43 NOLA R2 - 15 OA - DE - Allister Adebam | 196 TPE - GM pick for Mobiaus, we can expect this to turn out to be great value in the 2nd.
S43 CTC R2 - 21 OA - WR - Tyler Hunt | 167 TPE - Here's the WR3 of the near future and potentially the starter down the road.
S43 SAR R2 - 22 OA - RB - Kyle Bessey | 174 TPE - Fulfilling the future RB needs, Bessey could be a great pick for the future and out of the backfield as a pass catching back.
S43 BER R2 - 25 OA - LB - Norman Smiley | 166 TPE - Another BPA scenario. NOLA stocked up on picks for just this reason, picking up great players at great positions in the draft should set them up for future success.

NYS NEW YORK NYS
Positional Needs:
LB2 - Strong corps currently, with a good gap LB in Void. But they could use a good LB2 or future LB starter
Kicker - Shoutout to @platanocat. I just put this here to include you, they don't actually need a kicker. Or maybe they do, I don’t know.

Picks:
None in the 1st or 2nd rounders, no mock. Maybe they can find some help in the 3rd.

OCO ORANGE COUNTY OCO
Positional Needs:
CB - They need a second CB looking forward. Otherwise this team is just young and needs time most of all.
TE - They might need a new TE because from what I’ve seen Hydrium will be broke and in debt for life with his gambling problems.

Picks:
None in the 1st or 2nd rounders, no mock. Maybe they can find some help in the 3rd or trade up.

SJS SAN JOSE SJS
Positional Needs:
RB - Farquaads needs a reliever at the very least to spell him in the late stages of the game. Even better would be to find a complimentary back and build a one two punch.
OL - Only one on the active roster, with 2 coming up from the DSFL. However I think they could #BuildTheWall for future QB Patterson and the young Farquaads to work behind.
CB - This is the top need here as they have only one high end CB for the foreseeable future, and none waiting to be called up. While CB1 is covered for at least 4 more seasons, CB2 is a big hole.
S - They have one for the future on the roster and another in the DSFL currently. However unless Red Panda picks up on earning, they will likely look to sign another for the future.

Picks:
S43 SJS R2 - 19 OA - RB - Oskar Clark | 178 TPE - Grabbing the top runningback in the draft in Clark, deep into the 2nd round fulfills a complimentary need for SJS and some solid value.
S43 NYS R2 - 27 OA - S - Spruce Willis | 159 TPE - While Safety wasn't the biggest need, this is a good opportunity pick with the players potential and current TPE. The board fell favorably to grab Willis here.

NSFC NEEDS:

BAL BALTIMORE BAL
Positional Needs:
RB - Currently there are no real holes in this roster, so they could look to the future for sustained success by starting to look at the replacement at running back. Both Kum and Ceti are older (but still good) and will last long enough for the new selection to beef up
TE2 - Gwdjohnson is the only active TE, and while he is earning steadily, they could add a complimentary TE potentially.

Picks:
S43 BAL R1 - 10 OA - TE - Dylan Duma | 200 TPE - Duma is going to be a great TE at the next level and will arrive in time to catch some passes before Beatz regresses. The user Honey is just a cherry on top for this pick.
S43 YKW R2 - 20 OA - RB - Bertie Mannering | 175 TPE - Back to back RB picks in the draft sees the 2nd best RB by TPE off the board. This fills a future need for Baltimore.
S43 HON R2 - 23 OA - LB - Bubba Hog | 191 TPE - This is BPA and a steal at 23. Grabbing the 16th best player in the draft arguably should pay future dividends for Baltimore down the road.

BER BERLIN BER
Positional Needs:
QB - It’s time to find the next QB either this season or the next with RSC declining soon.
RB - With no send downs and only one starting calibur RB on the roster, they need to draft potentially multiple RBs to plan for Armor Queens eventual decline and need for a current complimentary running mate.
WR - The WR corps isnt weak, but it’s not a strength either. They need to plan for the future and add a good WR corps for a future QB.
LB - They have time here with multiple high earners who, while soon to hit regression, have a few seasons of TPE padding. This could be a luxury pick for the future.

Picks:
S43 CHI R1 - 2 OA - QB - Jay Cue III | 263 TPE - Number One on the TPE big board, and fills in as the future franchise QB. Opera is a hell of a user too, this is a good match.
S43 SJS R1 - 5 OA - LB - Gaius Gleel | 196 TPE - A bit of a reach based on TPE, but Crody is a beloved LR presence and still fills a need with a high end TPE LB.

CTC CAPE TOWN CTC
Positional Needs:
WR2 - CTC is pretty healthy across the board, and it shows with how they don’t have picks for this draft. So a good use of a later pick or tradeup would be for a WR2 to compliment Knight in a few seasons as the others regress.
TE - This is a legitimate need in the next 2 seasons with their only current TE being season 35 and regressing soon, even with the TPE padding.
CB2 - Legs McMillion is the future, but he’s going to need a starter on the other side of the field or in the slot.

Picks:
None in the 1st or 2nd rounders, no mock. Maybe they can find some help in the 3rd or trade up.

CHI CHICAGO CHI
Positional Needs:
RB - Frank Dux is a beast, but he can’t manage the game all by himself. Chicago needs to look into drafting a complimentary back and someone to transition to RB1 eventually.
WR - Shoutout to my homie Plant Based and his retirement, truly a legend of the game. With that in action, drafting a new WR should be something thats looked into to pair with Jimmy Ryder in the next few seasons.

Picks:
S43 HON R1 - 9 OA - WR - Anakin Skywalker | 174 TPE - A long time user returned to us, FSF will be a good addition to the up and coming WR corps and support the QB in a few seasons.
S43 CHI R2 -  16 OA - LB - Sem’ga Nah’sim | 201 TPE - This is a GM pick for TheCC. It fills a need and they are a known commodity (in a good sense). Look for Nah’Sim to be called up quickly and make an impact.

COL COLORADO COL
Positional Needs:
CB - They have CBs soon to regress, and quite a few drafted in the DSFL. Depending on their growth though, they are still in the market for a true CB1 of the future to lock down the top pass catcher.
OL - With only 1 active OL, while a solid LT, Colorado needs to invest further into the offensive line for up and comer Wolfie Jr. They also have a decent RB tandem to build off of going forward that this would benefit at their peaks.
DL - They’re all old as hell outside of Hutchinson Jr. Whatever scheme COL decides to stick with, investing in the DL is paramount.

Picks:
S43 COL R2 - 17 OA - CB - Bell Pepper | 130 TPE - Another GM pick, this also fills a team need w/ Ephenssta.
S43 OCO R2 - 18 OA - DE - Midwest Emo | 157 TPE - Filling a need at DL to compliment Schwarz on the edge, Colorado picks up Jiggly here.

SAR SARASOTA SAR
Positional Needs:
RB - Pete Zuh is declining soon, and while Ace Anderson looks to be a good future bell cow, a second up and coming RB would be a wise investment
TE - Salem is getting extremely old and probably only has a couple more regressions before a replacement callup is needed. So drafting one now would solve that.
OL - None are younger than season 35, so soon OL bots will be better. If Sarasota has the opportunity, drafting a top tier OL could benefit the team heavily.
CB - Some very strong CBs on the roster, but they are soon to hit regression. Luckily they have a good TPE buffer so this can wait until next season or if the board falls right it can be addressed now.
S - Both safeties are season 34 or older, and Sarasota has none waiting to be called up. This is a glaring need.

Picks:
S43 OCO R1 - 4 OA - S - Josh Gibson | 248 TPE - Number 2 on the TPE big board and a perfect positional need match. I don’t know much about DoubleDub, but Sarasota got great value here in the player alone.
S43 CTC R1 - 7 OA - TE - Ignatious Cleetington | 207 TPE - The top TE of the class goes to the team that needs it the most. This is a perfect match and we can expect Cleetington to be contributing within the first two seasons.
S43 SAR R1 - 8 OA - DT - Crasher Wake | 224 TPE - This is a BPA and quite a steal at 8 OA. Wake is number 4 in TPE and even if he is a luxury pick positionally, it makes sense instead of reaching for a need.

YKW YELLOWKNIFE YKW
Positional Needs:
LB2 - Gumbaman will be a good LB to fill in for the aging Cussion and Greywolf tandem, but he’s going to need a complimentary LB to truly be elite.
RB - The trade for Tolliver is a forward thinking play, but it wouldnt hurt to have another strong RB coming up. Yellowknife has invested heavily in the offensive line, might as well make use of it.
QB - For the future, they will need a QB to be drafted this season or next.

Picks:
S43 YKW R1 - 6 OA - LB - Cheecago Boucher | 212 TPE - A high TPE linebacker (number 6 on the TPE big board), Boucher projects to be a good addition to the aging LB corps. The problem is the user is an ass who is also broke due to the casino. Maybe the strong GM tandem here can help fix that.
S43 BAL R2 - 24 OA - QB(GM) - Maximus Boudreaux - Mandatory GM pick, but being able to get Zoot in the second is a bit of a steal. He projects to be a good QB in the ISFL and has the dedication and bankroll to guarantee it.

Conclusion:
Several teams have made moves the last couple of seasons to go into win now mode or put resources into their future already and are just waiting for their window to peak, so we can expect to see quite a few teams forgo the first 2 rounds. There should be solid value in round 3 and 4 for future starters and depth picks though, and plenty of new users to be excited about. Of course, this is also subject to change with offseason trades and the final standings not locked in yet. I wish everyone in S43 a happy draft and hope they enjoy their new teams!

I also appreciate @dude_man reading every word of this like he said he would to find the hidden message.

Don’t like it, this is too well considered and actually talks about what teams need. I’m off to find another wheel-based mock, they’re the most reliable.

Actually, a very good run down, pay the man so he can gamble it all away!
