Hello everyone! It's time to talk about the teams of the DSFL this time around in the newest edition of Dominator Power Rankings!
If you missed out on the first post or want to know how Dominator Score is calculated, please read here. Of course, you could always just tell me that the math is bad too because your team deserves more respect! On to the rankings!
DSFL Dominator Power Rankings - Week 4
8.
Minnesota Grey Ducks (0-4)Dominator Score: -11.851
% of Time Winning: 18.5%
% of Time Losing: 66.9%
The Grey Ducks have struggled mightily so far this year as they lost their first three games by double digits and weren't looking too good against Dallas until the 4th quarter. However, Minnesota still managed to lose the game in overtime. With only 40 points scored so far this year, it may be a long year for the Grey Ducks.
Season Prediction Based On Dominator Rankings: 0-14
7.
Norfolk Seawolves (2-2)Dominator Score: -7.046
% of Time Winning: 21.1%
% of Time Losing: 61.0%
The Seawolves are a hard team to figure out. They won their first game even though they only lead for the last 21 seconds of the game. Their other win was fairly dominant over Dallas but have been blown out twice as well. The Dominator formula doesn't like the way the Seawolves have played up to this point but maybe they have found a way to win anyway.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10

London Royals (1-3)Dominator Score: -4.298
% of Time Winning: 29.6%
% of Time Losing: 46.1%
The Royals haven't had a lot things go right so far this year. Apart from a victory over the hapless Grey Ducks, they have had trouble making noise in the beginning of the DSFL season up to this point. They have not shown the ability to hang with the best teams so far this year as their losses have been bigger than the score appears.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 6-8

Dallas Birddogs (2-2)Dominator Score: -3.395
% of Time Winning: 36.7%
% of Time Losing: 49.8%
The Birddogs opened the season with the worst loss of the DSFL so far, a 45-0 shellacking at the hands of the Luchadores. They followed that game up with a dominant win over Bondi Beach but lost a bad game to the Seawolves. Then they survived a bad game with an overtime win against Minnesota. So what do we know about Dallas? They are consistently inconsistent.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 6-8

Bondi Beach Buccaneers (1-3)Dominator Score: -2.997
% of Time Winning: 39.2%
% of Time Losing: 44.2%
The Dominator Score model likes the Buccaneers a lot more than their record would show. The have a flukey loss to the Seawolves but then lost in convincing fashion the next two games. While their most recent game was a dominant victory over the Royals, we need to see them keep the momentum going to position themselves for the playoffs.

Tijuana Luchadores (3-1)Dominator Score: 9.212
% of Time Winning: 56.8%
% of Time Losing: 17.9%
The DSFL is looking like a three team race this year with the Luchadores fitting right into that group. They have won their first three games fairly handily before losing their first real challenge of the season against Portland. While they started out the season on fire, each game has been a little less dominant. Hopefully, they will be able to turn it around after their most recent loss and show us more of the play that helped them reach the Ultimini last season.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 11-3

Portland Pythons (4-0)Dominator Score: 10.168
% of Time Winning: 60.0%
% of Time Losing: 20.8%
While it may come as a surprise that the Pythons haven't claimed the top spot, they have had a penchant for slow starts so far this year. They have fallen behind in the first quarter in three of their four games. So far, this hasn't mattered much as they have won all of those games by double digits. While already defeating both Kansas City and Tijuana on the road, the Pythons looked poised to have a chance at defending their Ultimini.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 14-0

Kansas City Coyotes (3-1)Dominator Score: 10.208
% of Time Winning: 63.4%
% of Time Losing: 20.6%
While I would argue that the Coyotes and Pythons are interchangeable in this top spot, the Coyotes get the nod this time around following two dominating wins the last two weeks. They have spent the most time winning of any team in the DSFL and have been winning at halftime of all of their games. Even with the earlier loss to Portland, they are the favorites to knock the Pythons off their throne.
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 12-2
