*Dominator Power Rankings - DSFL - caleb.grim - 11-03-2023

Hello everyone! It's time for another edition of Dominator Power Rankings for the DSFL! With only one game remaining in the regular season, the contenders for the Ultimini are becoming crystal clear (spoiler: It's Tijuana's championship to lose though they have shown some cracks in their armor this week!)

For more information on how Dominator Power Rankings are calculated, please see the original post here.

Onto the rankings!

DSFL Dominator Power Rankings - Week 13

8. LON London Royals LON (4-9)
Last Edition Rank: 6th (-4.005)
Dominator Score: -5.156
% of Time Winning: 28.2%
% of Time Losing: 48.2%

Next Game: at Dallas

London has dropped to last place in the North Division but they are still alive for the playoffs. Having split the season series with both Minnesota and Kansas City, their superior conference record gives them the tiebreaker over both teams. So London makes the playoffs if they beat Dallas along with Minnesota losing to Bondi Beach and Kansas City losing to Tijuana.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10 (4th in the North)

7. NOR Norfolk Seawolves NOR (5-8)
Last Edition Rank: 8th (-5.231)
Dominator Score: -3.560
% of Time Winning: 33.3%
% of Time Losing: 47.6%

Next Game: vs. Portland

Norfolk was officially eliminated from playoff contention yesterday after losing to Minnesota. It has been a rough year for Norfolk as they rank dead last in most defensive categories. With Portland already clinching the first place in the North, the Seawolves won't even get to play spoiler for their last game of the year.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 5-9 (3rd in the South)

6. KCC Kansas City Coyotes KCC (5-8)
Last Edition Rank: 5th (-3.980)
Dominator Score: -2.914
% of Time Winning: 31.7%
% of Time Losing: 51.5%

Next Game: vs. Tijuana

With one game to go, the Coyotes have worked their way into a tie for second place in the North. Having split the season series with Minnesota, there is a good possibility that second place will come down to tiebreakers. If Kansas City wins their last game, they should win any tiebreakers with Minnesota and make the playoffs. If Kansas City loses, they need London and Minnesota to lose to have a chance to make playoffs.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 5-9 (2nd in the North)

5. MIN Minnesota Grey Ducks MIN (5-8)
Last Edition Rank: 7th (-4.418)
Dominator Score: -2.189
% of Time Winning: 35.6%
% of Time Losing: 45.2%

Next Game: vs. Bondi Beach

Having won 4 of their last 5 games, the Grey Ducks have made a late push to make it into the playoffs in a weak North division. The easiest path for the Grey Ducks to make the playoffs would be with a win over Bondi Beach coupled with a Kansas City loss to Tijuana. Other results would come down to tiebreakers in which Minnesota will most likely lose out in.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 5-9 (3rd in the North)

4. DAL Dallas Birddogs DAL (8-5)
Last Edition Rank: 4th (-1.041)
Dominator Score: -0.858
% of Time Winning: 35.1%
% of Time Losing: 45.6%

Next Game: vs. London

The Birddogs will be facing off against Tijuana in the South Conference Championship game to see which team will compete in the Ultimini. Though does Dallas have much of a chance? Having lost three straight to Tijuana dating back to last year, the Birddogs have not been competitive against the Luchadores this season. The Birddogs will need to hope they get the sims favor to turn their fortunes around.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 9-5 (2nd in the South)

3. BBB Bondi Beach Buccaneers BBB (4-9)
Last Edition Rank: 3rd (1.302)
Dominator Score: 1.350
% of Time Winning: 50.7%
% of Time Losing: 33.3%

Next Game: at Minnesota

The Buccaneers have been an enigma this season. They have had a lead over half the time in all of their games but only have 4 wins to show for it. Does this team fold in the fourth quarter? Does the sim have it out for the Buccaneers? Have they just been unlucky? Having lost 6 one score games, a few extra plays and the season could have been completely different.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 5-9 (4th in the South)

2. POR Portland Pythons POR (10-3)
Last Edition Rank: 2nd (6.697)
Dominator Score: 5.473
% of Time Winning: 52.9%
% of Time Losing: 26.8%

Next Game: at Norfolk

The Pythons have clinched the first seed in the North and are the favorites to represent the conference in the Ultimini for the second season in a row. Riding the league's best defense, the Pythons have held their opponents to under 20 points 9 times this season. Can the defense lead them to a second consecutive Ultimini?

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 11-3 (1st in the North)

1. TIJ Tijuana Luchadores TIJ (11-2)
Last Edition Rank: 1st (10.676)
Dominator Score: 7.854
% of Time Winning: 53.9%
% of Time Losing: 23.1%

Next Game: at Kansas City

The Luchadores have been the dominant team this year but have shown that they are beatable recently. With a loss to the Grey Ducks, the Luchadores are no longer invincible. Scoring more points than anyone in the league, Tijuana seems poised to take their top offense to avenge their Ultimini loss from last season.

Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 12-2 (1st in the South)

That's it for this edition. Which DSFL team do you think will take home the Ultimini?
