Lucius Salem Retirement - ImSatanJunior - 12-14-2023
2 years in the league seemed to have flown by and what a great time it has been. From being drafted by Norfolk to a lifelong career in Sarasota Salem’s career has been a fun one.
Initially creating as a WR I switched Salem to Tight End due to the crowded nature of Sarasota’s wide receiver room at the time and that turned out to be the perfect play. Although Tight End seems to be a quite hidden position with many teams opting not to run them playing the position is a blast. Although Salem may not have had the fancy stats of a diva wide receiver in his career I'd like to think he did very well for a Tight End and hopefully can have a chance of making the HOF.
If I had to pick out any highlights/lowlights for Salem's career I’d probably have to say Salem’s only 1000-yard season was a great accomplishment, it was great to watch Salem's performances every game that season and the stat race go down to the wire. I'd also say Salem’s multiple walkoff touchdowns were great to witness live, the reaction in the locker room after scoring an 80-yard walkoff touchdown simply cannot be matched.
As for a lowlight back-to-back Ultimus losses are up there, the season 36 and 37 teams were great to be a part of but sadly didn’t end with a ring, hopefully, one last push in s45 can finish Salem's career off in style.
I'd like to thank @negs, @Beck and @g2019 for welcoming me into the league in Norfolk and giving me a great start to league life as well as @abh89 and the rest of the Sarasota locker room for a wonderful time, onto the next player.
