(S46) Late Joiner Thread - wizard_literal - 01-15-2024
(S46) Late Joiner TPE Thread
The Late Joiner TPE system in place to help users that create their player after Ultimus, catch up on TPE missed during the Season. How this will work is, there will be 5 prompts, 1 for each week post-Ultimus. Which will each be worth 7 TPE and you must write at least 50 words per prompt. The amount of prompts that you are allowed to complete will correspond with the week of your player's creation. This is only open for players entering the Season 47 ISFL Draft. The deadline to complete this is the start of the ISFL playoff stream.
To get this graded, a PPT Team Member will go through and edit your post, either approving or denying it, and once that has happened, you may link it to your update thread for the appropriate amount of TPE. There is no partial TPE for a prompt, so you must reach the minimum word count to get the 7 TPE for that week.
Prompts:
- What is your favorite part of the league so far and are there any users that have really helped you get involved?
- As a newly created player, was the experience intuitive? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve the experience of getting started in our league?
- Write a letter to any perspective GMs that may be interested in picking you up in the upcoming draft(or waivers). What makes you stand out?
- The ISFL has quite a few branding amongst its two leagues. Which branding are your favorite? Which are your least favorite?
- Talk about what inspired your players name and any meaning behind it
- Talk about your player number and if it means anything special to you
In your response, make sure to include your player page to confirm when you created your player.

Open Letter to the GM's.
As an upcoming participant to the draft i would like to begin by Introducing myself. i am Raffi Turnbull from Canada. i grew up playing in the cold weather north of the border. i played in the Canadian system working hard and breaking Barriers for Canadian Football. i was a walk on for Michigan state where i proved that a Tight End can make a difference for a team. i like to compare myself to a Player known as Travis Kelce. i am willing to put in the effort to keep upgrading my play style and skills to become an asset for any team that chooses to draft me. i look forward in hearing from you.

My Players name is a combination of my nickname in real life which is Hollywood and my favorite wide receiver in college football right now which is Tez Johnson who plays for Oregon. I hope for my player to pretty much play just like Tez, who is extremely elusive and really fast.

An Open letter to the GMs
I was glad to hear from several of you. It was refreshing to talk to the GMs of teams like Kansas City, Bondi Beach, Minnesota, Norfolk, and Dallas. There were a few teams, however, that failed to reach out. All I have to say is "shame on you". Perhaps you didn't want to bother with scouting a quarterback because you already have one. I can understand that, but I would have viewed it as an opportunity to get to know a player you might need to interact with in the future. (91 words)

My favorite part of the league has been the prospect bowl tournament. It was really fun getting to see my player on the big screen for the first time and have something to cheer for. It has spawned some friendly rivalries with some other rooks and I'm really looking forward to see how all of our careers turn out. Hopefully I get to line up against Roque at some point during the season.

The inspiration for my name came from the character Jack from One Piece. I aspire to be the absolute best in the game and the name Jack Destroyer entails what I will do on the field, I will be a game wrecker and rip apart their teams offense. Well I have had 2 players previously one a CB the other a TE, well its been a long time so I decided to remake and continue the Simmons Legacy, I want to really get things going this time around make it a long career where I protect my QB and open holes for my RBs and help my teams win every game possible even if I get thrown down and bowled over I will come back and continue to build my players legacy.

57 doesn't really mean anything to me however I want to at least keep my QB protected for at least 5.7 seconds, 5.7 seconds to protect the qb and 5.7 feet to open a hole for the RB I want to be a dominant OL man and help my team win no matter how big of underdogs we are and even when I'm thrown down I want to get right back up and protect my qb for even longer

Prompt 1: I have recently joined and have been in many sim leagues. This one has a very dedicated community. The moment I joined it was non stop chat in discords and threads it really feels like this is a booming community not just a on the side casual site to check from time to time. I love the feel so far and am excited to continue!
