Introducing Lemon Draft Sheets - lemonoppy - 01-31-2024

Introducing the Lemon Draft Boards! Mostly just giving teams options to use these if they want, or to introduce some tooling that may be helpful for people wanting to do some mocks. I made these generally out of cool features from the Minny and AZ draft boards that I’d been using, and creating some new features to help.

What it does:

1. First off, it pulls data from the TPE Tracker endpoint directly instead of pulling from the Google Sheets sheet that pulls from the tracker. This improves reliability, no more sheet going down because you’re waiting for data to load. (It might go down but like, it's Sheets, only so much I can do)

1b. Sometimes sheets will still go down since Google does some background stuff, what you do to fix is go to the `Tracker JSON` sheet, copy the cell's value in A1, delete it and then paste it back in

2. Draft sheet that you can use to track the draft which smartly crosses off prospects from the list if they’ve been taken. You just need to select the player in the dropdown.

3. “Big Board” - This isn’t a true big board, I don’t think, but it’s close to it for a spreadsheet. This sorts all prospects by position, the number grade you give them, and then by TPE. It also pulls data from the Draft sheet to cross em out if they’ve been taken.

4. Automated with an Overview page! Well, I say automated, but basically if you put in the season you’re scouting for, it just changes the season you’re pulling prospects from.

The sort order for position groups is:

1. Prospect Grade
2. TPE level


FIXING THE LOADING BUG.
1. Copy the value in this cell
2. Hit delete on it, and then press enter
3. Wait like 2 seconds and then put it back in, it should load back in

NOTES
  • There are still some VLOOKUPs, this is a holdover from some older code I copied from the Ducks page and I kinda hate it but too lazy to fix with a better lookup function.
  • There’s a possibility of the Big Board sheet “breaking” if there are more than 14 creates at a single position. I will probably not fix this but it’s easy to manually update to add more rows, and you can always DM on Discord and I will fix it for you.
  • The ISFL version is slightly AZ themed, and the DSFL one is slightly Ducks themed from a colour standpoint, feel free to change it!
  • Oh bigger note, this sheet uses sorting based on number comparisons, so grades should be in number form (aka from 0-3). If you use letters, S is gonna end up wonky, also probably any +/-s
