Hello fans of the DSFL, my name is Marlene Alraune, and I am the new co-GM of the Chicago Blues. Our organization has made a lot of waves recently with our teamwide stance that we are in complete support of our players and their rights. As Alex has said, we will be having our team in the locker room during the singing of our national anthem.

My announcement today will be who will be singing the anthem. Using my connections in Hollywood and New York City, I have arranged for our next home game to have the anthem sung by a chorus of stars who support our nation's right to free speech and are in solidarity against the atrocities that are being perpetrated against minorities in this wonderful nation of ours.

Pharrell Williams and Kelly Clarkson will headline the cast of people singing our anthem. Kwame Morris, son of Stevie Wonder will also join Pharrell and Clarkson on stage. Alongside them will be actresses Gabrielle Union and Julia Stiles. Also joining them will be several veterans from around the Chicago area representing all branches of the US Military. They all have been very outspoken about the recent announcements by our President and the controversy surrounded by people kneeling during the anthem.

Prior to the singing of the anthem, these stars will ask for a moment of silence and that everyone in attendance kneel for 30 seconds before rising to stand for the National Anthem. We would like to make it clear that we are not protesting the military, or our veterans. By using a moment of silence and kneeling before the anthem we are making a statement that the racial hate crimes in this country, and most especially in the Chicago area, are out of control and that it is okay to be outraged by it. Use your actions to raise awareness that there is a divide in this nation, and we will not tolerate hate in any form. But be respectful at the same time. Using violence, hateful words and dividing this nation further only adds to the problems we are facing in this country. It is time for us all to come together, love one another and address this problem once and for all.

A second announcement that I have, is that collectible commemorative cups of the Blues inaugural season are finally on sale in the concession stands. They are made of ceramic and have a bronze inlay. All profits and proceeds of these cups for the remainder of the season will go towards the relief efforts in Puerto Rico after the events of Hurricane Maria. Our hearts go out to the people of Puerto Rico and their families who are still worried about their loved ones on the island.

Thank you for your continued support and Go Blues!
