*Its half time in the ISFL season 46 - bechtudo - 02-13-2024

Lets take a look at the league at the half time of season 46. Overall it is really a heavy ASFC s far this season. Four of the top five teams according to the power ranking are coming from the ASFC. The only team from the NSFC which is ranked #4 are the Baltimore Hawks with a 6-2 record. The Arizona Outlaws and the Austin Copperheads lead the standings not only in their conference but also have the best records of the league with 7-1. The bottom feeders of the season so far are the Honolulu Hahalua with a 1-7 record in the ASFC and the Colorado Yeti with an identical record in the NSFC.
If the playoffs would start today the top 4 teams qualifying in the ASFC would be
#1 Austin Copperheads (7-1)
#2 Arizona Outlaws (7-1)
#3 San Jose Saber Cats (6-2)
#4 Orange County Otters (6-2)
this may very well be the end of season qualifying teams for the ASFC because the other three teams have a record of either 2-6 or 1-7.
In the NSFC the top seeded teams at half time are
#1 Baltimore Hawks (6-2)
#2 Yellowknife Wraiths (5-3)
#3 Cape Town Crash (4-4)
#4 Berlin Fire Salamanders (3-5)
Sarasota and Chicago have the same record than the Fire Salamanders with Colorado being last with 1-7.
Looking at individual stats and some mid-season favorites for league awards we find this:
At QB the league has three statistical categories
Passing yards, passing TDs and passing rating. Combining the three the top QB for the first half of the year was Austin Copperheads
QB Jay Cue III, he is first in Passing TDs (17) and third in passing yards (2256) and passing rating 100.6
RB Money Tolliver from the Yellowknife Wraiths is first in rushing TDs with 7 and third in rushing yards with 740
WR Sem'ga Nah'sim from the Chicago Butchers leads the league in receiving TDs with 8 and is fifth in receiving yards with 686.
On defense Orange County Otters LB Sim Sunigh is tied for first in the league in tackles with 66 and is second with 10 sacks.
