OCONOMOWOC, Wis. — Troubled media tycoon jreed12, best known for his role as a Senior Correspondent at The ISFL Weekly Mirror, was arrested at his Wisconsin estate Thursday evening after an exposé published by Yellowknife Wraiths kicker Zenzeroni Xystarch II went viral online.

The Simulation Bureau of Investigation responded to a call Thursday evening from an anonymous tipster within the ISFL Head Office stating that they had reason to believe jreed12 was hoarding “substantial amounts of materials to create explosives.”

The SBI called in three attack helicopters and several armored vehicles to surround the compound, but they extracted the suspect without violent resistance. He was seen marching out of the compound detained in a straightjacket, shouting expletives against the league’s Head Office, the league’s Head of the Banks, Raven, and the kicker, Xystarch.

The SBI raided the compound on probable cause of possession of dangerous explosive weapons. Upon seizure, the SBI extracted what they described as hundreds of pounds of “materials used to create Molotov cocktails”, as well as several vials of human growth hormone (HGH) and an estimated $30,000,000 in counterfeit bills.

Jreed12 is currently detained in a federal holding center, with an initial bail posted of $1.2 million. He is initially charged on accounts of possession of explosive weapons, racketeering, possession of counterfeit currency, tax fraud, distribution of libel, creation of fraudulent contracts, employee abuse and withholding employee pay.

The Senior Correspondent assumed his role at the burgeoning publication ahead of the 2061 draft and immediately began publishing a stream of articles surrounding happenings in the International Simulation Football League. The publication quickly drew many critics, who lauded the articles for being “slanderous” and “sensationalized”.

The Mirror was quickly ensnared in escalating conflicts with other publications that cover the ISFL, such as The Daily Prophet, as well as a particularly nasty feud with Xystarch, a freelance writer who is no stranger to run-ins with the law. The Mirror made unsubstantiated accusations that Xystarch committed an act of terrorism, sending “Molotov footballs” flying through the windows of the league head office, which quickly drew virality and backlash on social media.

When asked about Xystarch’s role in the conflict, the Yellowknife Wraiths organization declined to comment.

The ISFL, a league more colloquially known for its popular football product, has received multiple damaging blows in the public eye during the 2061 season. Frustrated rookies in its affiliate minor league, the DSFL, attempted to unionize earlier this season, culminating in a protest outside the ISFL Head Office which quickly turned violent.

Last Monday’s conference championship game also saw the first time a fan-incited riot burned down a North American major league sports stadium, after the Sarasota Sailfish suffered a shocking late-game collapse to the Yellowknife Wraiths. Sarasota County first responders that quenched the flames noted that Fishnet Stadium was almost completely razed to the ground.

These chaotic events take place on the week leading up to the 61st Ultimus, the ISFL’s marquee championship game, which is still anticipated to kick off on-schedule on Friday night. The ISFL Weekly Mirror had placed a bid to sponsor the event in Wisconsin earlier this season, with plans to build a brand new stadium, though the proposal was ultimately rejected in favor of hosting the event in Boston.

It is unclear at this time where the Mirror secured the funding to commit such a massive project mere months after its inception.

The SBI also attempted a raid on Senior Correspondent griis, who was considered a partner in crime for many of the proceedings. However, upon entering his New Jersey home, investigators found it completely devoid of possessions—no furniture, fingerprints, nor so much as a speck of dust.

Investigators found several sandbags and an empty propane tank in a field nearby, suggesting that griis may have been privy to the imminent raid and fled the scene via hot air balloon.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, but as of this publication, griis still remains at-large. The SBI is offering a $100,000 reward to anybody with credible information of his whereabouts.
