*Riding Off To McHollywood - Rusfan - 03-08-2024

After 10 seasons, all with the Silverbacks, Mandrews McHollywood will officially retire to play one more season as a corpse.

With my first player Joel Drake I went IA and therefore did not get to experience the back half of an ISFL career, with Mandrews I was determined to stick with him and not make that same mistake. I did exactly as I intended and earned all the way up to 1,631 TPE before regression kicked in and started to eat away at him.

Now, for the thanks.

I want to thank @zaynzk and @TheRocheLimit for trusting in me to break the NYS drafted WR curse all those years ago in June 2022. Being taken in the 3rd round was later than I’d hoped but getting to share a draft class with @Repgnar and Zayn was more than I dared hope for.

Once I’d joined the team I was lucky to get to share a locker room with @wizard_literal, @ComebackZak, @High Stick King, @18situaseans, @Tayjay, @MN_Moosey, @scudmuffin19, @Cody, @TheHammer43, @Jumbo, @Baron1898, @platanocat, @Mojojojo, @slothfacekilla, @Void_DCXI, and anyone else who has slipped my mind. You all contributed to making the NY locker room a place that was fun to be regardless as to how well the team was doing.

As for Mandrews himself, he retires with the following accolades:
2 First-Team All-Pros
1 Second-Team All-Pro
4 Pro Bowls

As for his standings in WR stat history, both for NYS and the league as a whole:
Team Standings-
2nd most receptions at 821
2nd most yards at 11,369
1st in TDs at 81
League-
29th in Receptions
23rd in yards
18th in TDs
T-1st in Longest Catch with Rocky Moreaux at 99 yards

Given that he will play one more season as a corpse, he has a very realistic chance to jump Tugg Speedman for 1st in both receptions and yards, needing 77 and 133 respectively, and solidify himself as the greatest NYS receiver in history.

After all that, I find myself thankful for the opportunity to continue making players and plays in this league, and will see you all in this very next draft class as I will be recreating right after this post goes up.

Thank you all, and I hope to see you in the HOF as soon as Mandrews is eligible.

Officially passing the torch to Sean Robinson, make me proud son.
