(S47) Late Joiner TPE Thread
The Late Joiner TPE system in place to help users that create their player after Ultimus, catch up on TPE missed during the Season. How this will work is, there will be 5 prompts, 1 for each week post-Ultimus. Which will each be worth 7 TPE and you must write at least 50 words per prompt. The amount of prompts that you are allowed to complete will correspond with the week of your player's creation. This is only open for players entering the Season 48 ISFL Draft. The deadline to complete this is the start of the ISFL playoff stream.

To get this graded, a PPT Team Member will go through and edit your post, either approving or denying it, and once that has happened, you may link it to your update thread for the appropriate amount of TPE. There is no partial TPE for a prompt, so you must reach the minimum word count to get the 7 TPE for that week.

Prompts:
- What is your favorite part of the league so far and are there any users that have really helped you get involved?
- As a newly created player, was the experience intuitive? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve the experience of getting started in our league?
- Write a letter to any perspective GMs that may be interested in picking you up in the upcoming draft(or waivers). What makes you stand out?
- The ISFL has quite a few branding amongst its two leagues. Which branding are your favorite? Which are your least favorite?
- Talk about what inspired your players name and any meaning behind it
- Talk about your player number and if it means anything special to you

In your response, make sure to include your player page to confirm when you created your player.

My favorite part of the league has got to be the locker room environments that exist in a sim league. Whether its here in the ISFL or one of the many other sim leagues the community that you’re a part of (whether it’s a team locker room, draft class, or just the general server) shapes that majority of your experience I would say. Thankfully the ISFL does a really great job from my experience in creating great communities for people to be a part of. I find myself the most active in team locker rooms but routinely see users find themselves quite active in a number of others like the Town of Salem, Casino, and even an NFL Draft server. A big reason why there’s so many league spaces has got to be the users that make up the league. Most of my interactions come in New York’s locker room so a number of users there have been really pivotal in shaping my experience so far and I’m really thankful Roche and Zayn brought me here back in Teemo’s early day.

- What is your favorite part of the league so far and are there any users that have really helped you get involved?

So far, my favorite part of the league has been the community surrounding it. After coming across a post advertising the league on Reddit, I was excited and interested but not sure what to expect. A fully free to play league run by volunteers sounded awesome, but the amount of information was a bit overwhelming at first. Within the first 24 hours, I had seven different DSFL GMs personally reach out to me on Discord to ask how I was finding the experience and to offer help if I needed it. While the idea of watching my dot make plays was enough to make me want to participate, the welcoming community has absolutely blown me away and gotten me excited about my future in the league. Whether we are watching a prospect bowl game, answering random NFL trivia, or just begging for a mock draft, there is always conversation to be had and it has never felt intimidating. The journey to the Hall of Fame wouldn’t be quite as fun if there wasn’t a great community to share it with.

Created Player - Made on 3/13 (avaliable for one prompt)

Prompt #1 (95 Words)
Let me tell you about how Rex Havoc got his name! Essentially, I aimed for a name that exuded strength and intimidation to mirror the player I wanted to create, capturing the essence of his presence on the field. "Rex" carries the meaning of "king", creating a sense of authority and how he wants to become the best defensive player possible. Meanwhile, "Havoc" is for the chaos and disruption he caused to many opposing offenses and quarterbacks. Also, it worked as a gag name since it sounds like "wrecks havoc" which I thought was amusing.

Player Page - Created 3/28 (3 Prompts)

(124 Words prompt 1)

My favorite part about the ISFL has to be the experience. The league does an amazing job of making you feel like you are in the midst of a living, breathing league and you get to experience the career of a professional athlete. It's so authentic, GM's reaching out and discussing interest in the potential of joining their team, hype and uneasiness leading up to game days or draft night, and watching the games play out excited to see whether or not your hard earned TPE helps to get the win. Big shoutout to Amkamkamk and Sconnie who reached out to me on discord to help me out, they saved me a ton of confusion and assisted with getting my ducks in a row.

(82 Words prompt 2)

My favorite branding has to be the Yellowknife Wraiths. It just goes so hard that I can't help but go "wow that's a sick name" everytime I read it. Yellowknife is a kick-a city name and the Wraiths is cool even when standalone. The branding of the ISFL has to be one of its strongpoints so many teams in the league have not only unique branding, but cool names/locations as well that you wouldn't normally think of for a sports team.

(161 Words prompt 3)

Reggie Battle was the name of a madden WR I drafted in a franchise league. He is one of my favorite madden players of all time and always seemed to be open for my quarterback to throw to. His "biggest moment" is probably in the divisional round of the playoffs where he caught 3 touchdowns for 224 yards, being the only member of the team to make it into the endzone. With the score 24-20, my defense was unable to hold and we gave up a touchdown to go down by 3 and only a dozen-ish seconds remaining. On the kickoff, Battle took it to the house while breaking a tackle and barely hitting a tight gap, then beating the last guy in a foot race where his fingers were inches away from tripping Battle up. We ended up winning the superbowl that year, and ever since the #88 has been retired for all of my franchise runs in the future.

Juan Carrasco Player Page (Created 3/15 eligible for 1 task)

I've had a really great experience with the league so far. The draft was great, a number of people reached out proactively to help welcome me, and I know there is a very active community on these forums and the discord to help answer questions as I continue to learn the league. I think what I'd like to call attention to in this post is the great work of the people who execute the simulation. Updating the players, deploying the gameplans, streaming the results, and making the stats available so quickly at such a high frequency over the course of a season, and continuing to have that history available for people to investigate. The more I learn about the league the more I see the amount of time needed to make things work smoothly and I'm thankful.

My favorite part of the league is the easily the community aspect of it. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly and just looking to have fun. When I first started my thought process was "let's give it a try and see how it is". After less than a month I can genuinely say that I am hooked and fully plan to continue for the years to come. One user who sticks out is the GM of my current team, Bamford. Any time I've had a question he has been happy to answer.

- What is your favorite part of the league so far and are there any users that have really helped you get involved?

My favourite part of the league in my time I have been an ISFL user has been when I've played with people who I get along and vibe super well with. As for users that really helped me get into the experience, @jeffie43 was the main one 100%. Through means that were very much legal he got me to meet so many great users in the league that I may have never had the pleasure of meeting and talking to if I had just stuck to the SHL. (88 words)

- Write a letter to any perspective GMs that may be interested in picking you up in the upcoming draft(or waivers). What makes you stand out?

The only reason I ever stand out here is for my reputation on the SHL, and it tends to always be misleading, because I've had two top quality players there, vs 1 player out of my 5 not being bad in this league. I do like to at least think here that I'm a pleasant person in locker rooms for teams, who tries to pop in and contribute where I can even if my TPE earning ends up not being good. (81 words)

- The ISFL has quite a few branding amongst its two leagues. Which branding are your favorite? Which are your least favorite?

The GOAT branding all time is absolutely the Orange County Otters. They picked the greatest animal ever to be their mascot, and that orange will always just pop so well. Not to mention the absolutely beyond elite otter emotes they have in their server. As for least favourite, Cape Town unfortunately is one that has never grown on me, and the rhino just kinda looks like a weird kids cartoon to me. I am sure its a great team to play for though. (83 words)

- Talk about what inspired your players name and any meaning behind it

What more would there be for me to say? The Garfield Despacito legacy is a core part of this site's lore and we are now onto the fourth iteration of the most illustrious family tree in ISFL history. The inspiration first came from a funny meme picture of Garfield the cat with Peter Griffin's face above text that simply said "Despacito", and several years later it still remains simply my go to name to go with when I can't think of a more creative player branding to go with. (89 words)

- As a newly created player, was the experience intuitive? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve the experience of getting started in our league?

I haven't found it too hard to come back this time starting fresh, although being on my 5th player now I think I would expect I get the gist of how things work at this point. I definitely like that update threads are bound to the same page as your actual player page now, it makes things streamlined a lot better. I do think the index feels a little cluttered and hard to navigate efficiently sometimes which has been my main complaint for all my players, but I'm not sure I have any real issues with the starting process at all. (101 words)

should be 35 tpe?
