Lloyd Bannings led the league in touchdown passes during the season 46 season of the ISFL. I am writing this media piece to fulfill a contract clause on how much better Bannings is than my old quarterback Smokin Jay. @bowl0
Smokin Jay was a DSFL Legend. Drafted originally to be the future of the Orange County Otters attack, his career got off to a disastrous start. After breaking or approaching many all time turnover records, OCO GMs were faced with a decision. OCO was in shambles after having their GM quarterback be such an awful player. It was a nightmare scenario. UNTIL the s42 ISFL Draft.
Prospect scouting took place at a local chili’s on one storm filled afternoon One by one qb prospects came in and one by one OCO felt a sense of sadness as the fate of their franchise became clearer and clearer with Smokin Jay readying to lead the way.
Then all of the sudden, Slate looked outside and noticed that through the storm clouds and rain was a shimmering ray of sunshine following a player holding a bowling ball bag. As this player sat down he introduced himself as the BanHammer – Lloyd Bannings. Beck and Slate glanced outside and realized the storm stopped and suddenly flowers were blooming and birds were singing. The waitress gave free appetizers. Slate and Beck looked at each other and at that moment knew he was the one.
Fast forward to season 46. Bannings led a high powered offense to our first playoff birth in a handful of seasons. Smokin Jay meanwhile, is still on the team and still hurting the team’s chances of winning by allowing touchdown after touchdown. Bannings talent reigns supreme while Jay’s talent rains tears down his face as he allows touchdowns. When it comes to comparing QBs, there is no comparison. There is just THE BAN HAMMER.
