S47 ISFL HO Intern - DarknessRising - 03-14-2024
Hello everyone!!
A new off-season means a new intern search!! As an intern, you're still a part of all the same discussions as a regular HO member. The only thing you don't get is the admin keys to the forums / Discord as well as have a final counting vote on matters.
Internships generally take the form of a one-season trial period to evaluate whether a full-time position might be a good fit for you. They can also be extended for extra seasons if we believe individuals show promise but need more time, or that HO may be too bloated to hire more full-time members.
Being in Head Office requires a lot of active participation and we look for users to be proficient in three main areas:
- SEASONAL TASKS: With each league season being a 8 week repeatable template in terms of tasks and deadlines, we expect Head Office members to volunteer themselves for scheduled tasks related to this cadence and potentially carve out an area of responsibility that we know they will reliably handle every season (eg running rule summits, salary cap analysis, discord payouts)
- AD-HOC WORK: This involves being active enough to participate in any discussions that may arise, whether that be as a result of queries from league users, dept heads or GMs, or resolving time-sensitive operational issues. We would also expect HO members to share the workload equally in terms of liaising with GMs and job holders in the ISFL management server.
- PROACTIVE INITIATIVES: As a member of Head Office, you'll be exposed to the inner workings of pretty much every aspect of the league. With that, we hope will come ideas around how we could be doing things better, whether that be in terms of automation or a better user experience. As well as new ideas, things like checking in with GMs / dept heads, gathering feedback and working on league-wide communications would also fall into this category.

- Information about you and your ISFL / sim league experience
- What you think you could add to HO
- What projects or improvements you’d like to work on
- Which aspects of the role you think you might struggle with the most
- Anything else you think might be relevant!
The deadline to apply will be Thursday, 21st of March, 11:59PM EST. We will then be the end of that week, have reached a decision and inform all applicants privately before a public announcement!
