For the first time in her career, Nakiri Ayame will test the open waters of free agency. She has been a member of Cape Town's organization for 7 seasons, including an Ultimus win in S41 during her rookie season and winning the league MVP in S46. But recently, Cape Town has been unable to make the playoffs, despite strong seasons from Ayame. However, despite the lack of regular season success team-wise, Ayame still leans toward re-signing in Cape Town unless a better opportunity arises.

Ayame is currently at 10k scrimmage yards and 11k all-purpose yards. Although she is in regression, Ayame has at least 4-5 more seasons remaining in her career and is looking to break a couple of more records and win a few more awards before she hangs up her cleats.
And now, a little interview with Ayame about this decision to go into FA.
Interviewer: Why did you decide to go into FA?
Ayame: Sometimes you have to talk to yourself and figure out what is next. I feel that I have had a great career so far and I have not thought of retiring just yet. I know I have been carrying some ISFL Fantasy teams for the past few seasons. I believe that I can earn a couple of all-pros and maybe 1 more MVP before my time is done.
Interviewer: That is quite intriguing, I want to know your thoughts on your time in Cape Town.
Ayame: I have nothing bad to say about the Crash organization. They took me late in the S40 draft, and knew I had the potential to be their next explosive player. Sure enough, we ended up going 13-3 my first season up and we ended up scratching and clawing our way to win Ultimus 41, and if I'm not mistaken, I got a receiving TD that game and we won by a last-second stop. Recently, they had me mentor two young players in Hercules Henry and Scorch Von Turbo, who I'm certain that both will be succeeding me soon. Negs and LCC are both great people and have helped clean my image up in the league.
Interviewer: Outside of Cape Town, would there be any other team that you might be interested in playing for?
Ayame: That is a tough question as we are as I am speaking, still in a playoff push. But I do not mind where I end up as long as there's an opportunity for me to succeed and maybe win a couple of more hardware, I'm willing to go to that team. As long as there's no users that will cause problems for me and that I'm willing to work with their GMs to make something that'll make me not regret leaving Cape Town, although my heart is still with the Crash to begin with, as I'm just experimenting will being a top of the line Free Agent that any team would desire.

Ayame: I'm willing to discuss with the GM's when the time for talking comes soon.

Forcing a sign and trade isn't Free Agency, as you stated in your initial post. Requiring a trade is going to severely limit the number of teams interested.
Also, if you're just going to resign, why opt out in the first place?
