* DSFL Week 14 Preview - kckolbe - 10-12-2017

What happens when a team with nothing to lose goes on the road to take on a team on top of the league? Generally, a LOT of injuries, but we turned those off, so...probably nothing? The Chicago Blues are trying for double digit wins because why not? They already have home field. This is just rubbing it in. The Tijuana Luchadores, who once sat atop the power rankings (which shows how much THEY know), are now really only fighting to stay out of last place. What will happen? No one knows, because NEITHER GM knows their strategy or depth charts.

Speaking of last place, the Portland Pythons host the Norfolk Seawolves. Last week, this game had TONS of playoff implications, but then Portland lost at home to the Blues and the game means nothing but pride...maybe rivalry? If nothing else, though, I think it'll be a decent game. That might be enough reason to watch.

We end with a pretty important game. The San Antonio Marshals travel to Kansas City for a playoff warm-up. Next week, both teams play each other in the Conference Championship, but the winner of this game will have home field advantage. That's right, two teams that can ACTUALLY PLAY FOOTBALL in a game with ACTUAL MEANING! We are saving it for last, though, because we are bastards.
