Hello all, I found the International Simulation Football League from the current post on the r/NFL subreddit. I have never done anything like this before but it sounds like a fun and engaging way to be a part of a football community with other people of the same interests. I wasn't too sure how hard it would be to get into, but the introductory rookie video playlist they have on YouTube made it very easy. And so far it's been just completing my rookie tasks as I get ready for my player to start his career.
I have only talked to one person, one of the Rookie Mentors, in the discord so far but from just reading through the channels and in general chat everyone seems to be very friendly and welcoming. I did catch one of the simulated playoff games that had started not long after I joined and it was a lot more enjoyable to watch than I was expecting. Even though I don't have a player involved yet it was fun to watch and I am ready to get further invested when I have my own player actually in the games.
I am looking forward to seeing how my characters, Joe Cool, career turns out and further interacting with the community.

Hi everyone,
Newbie trying to figure out how all of this works here (and trying to get the extra TPE from the rookie tasks). I came here from a thread over in r/CFB that had the invite link attached to it.
I am making a DT named Tyler Duncan. I have done simulation leagues before but not for football. I did a couple sim basketball league (SBL and IBL) for a while a couple years ago. Was pretty successful in both of those leagues so I am hoping to carry that over to this one as well. I will hopefully try to snag some jobs if there are things are working in excel and stuff like that.
I do not exactly know how the actual games work for this yet but I am exciting to see how good I can get Duncan to be. Hopefully I can turn him into a game wrecker in the middle of defense that has can be a 3 down threat. I definitely assume it will start with clogging up the middle and just doing the dirty work though. Anyways, I am excited to see how this all comes together and get onto a team and start meeting everyone.
