*Day 2 of the Prospect Bowl: Dalinar Summers - lunaripcole - 07-06-2024

It’s a beautiful morning in Baja, a great day to be a Barracuda. Dalinar Summers is up early for a morning jog. Part of his daily routine to make sure his body is always in top shape. This routine include his exercise, nutrition, and hygiene. On top of that he meets with mental health specialists throughout the week. He was once quoted saying “If you can’t keep your brain healthy, your body’s gonna follow along with it.” Since implementing this routine, his injuries shot down to little to none. Summers claims he hasn’t missed a game since his freshman year of college at UCLA.

Summers’ freshman year at UCLA showed him missing 1/3 of the games that year, and he began to fall down the roster. Summers sat down with multiple professionals and had them help him get back on track. Since then he’s been a steamtrain that doesn’t seem to break.

We sat down with Summers to ask his opinions on his first day of the prospect bowl.

Game 1
Summers ran for 58 yards and a touchdown with 13 attempts. That averaged him about 4.5 ypc.

Game 2
Summers ran for 56 yards and a touchdown with 11 attempts. He averaged about 5.1 ypc in game 2.

After talking about these stats from the first two games, we asked Summers if he was happy with those numbers.

He responded saying “I’m grateful to have the chance to play here right now, and these numbers are alright, but I wanna prove im more than an alright player.”

Big ambition from a big guy. We also asked if we could get an inside scoop on his meals as he preps for his game tonight. He was hesitant to answer, but eventually at least told us the meals. Maybe next time we can get the recipes.

Breakfast:
3 Eggs Over Easy
2 Slices Turkey Bacon
1 Slice of Gameday Protein Casserole

Lunch
1 Turkey Sandwich on Golden Wheat Bread
1 Slice of Gameday Protein Casserole

Pregame
1/2 Slice of Gameday Protein Casserole

We tried to ask further about this casserole, but Summers refused to answer any questions further.

We’re looking forward to seeing how him and his brothers Kal and Bryan do in these upcoming games tonight. This set of rookies has so much potential and character, and these three are just a small piece of this giant rookie cookie we get to devour this season.
