*prospect bowl day 1overview and day 2 speculation - Deecee98 - 07-06-2024

i would firstly like to say i will be as unbiased as possible

Aztec:

leading with a record of 2-0 its clear to see why they have a frankly dominate offensive line with 37 pancake blocks over the 2 games played that helped there running backs average 138.5 yards per game lead by Larton Hilnka averaging 4.3 yards per carry and in pass pro only allowing 3 sacks as a unit this reminiscent of great off the great wall of Dallas or the 2017 dallas oline. Aztec QB jack cannon had a great first day passing for just under 270 yards per game and throwing 5TD . The Aztecs have 3 good receivers headlined by Travis Novak who had 10 receptions 163 yards and 3TD while Scott Wickerd & cal summer jr have been great secondary options with the later also catching 2TD  In my eyes the Aztec are the most well rounded offence with multiple first rounders spread across the offence

now to the defence the Aztecs defence have only allowed 396 yards over 2 games while not forcing turnovers multiple payers have had 5+ tackle games and 3 player having 3+pd games showing that while there not making possession changing plays but are making plays on the ball .Linebackers J.J. Enterfeltd &Ted Marshall are interesting prospect who are stockpiling TPE and are making a lot of tackles, TFLs and PDs .DL Skee Yee &Tommy Wholotta had at least one big game a piece but with 0 sacks is strange and a little concerning a far the DB Casper Constantine had 6 PD over 2 games and is looking like a true lockdown corner for the dsfl team that drafts him while William Strong had 3 PD and looks like a good strong side corner

in overview the Aztec have a great well rounded offence we will see if they can keep this pace up and cement their 1st round status tonight and on defence they can tackle well and force 4th downs but can they force turnovers tonight and make their borderline 1st rounders on defence guarantees

Baja:

baja are 1-1 which a blowout loss and hard-fought victory their offence has been inconsistent at best with a very weak first game all round then a strong rushing attack in the second. their QB have been weak completing about 45% of passes over both games 238 yards and 1Td and 1 INT and will have a lot to show tonight . their rushing attack while the first game it wasn't great the first game against the guardians it was like GB VS 49ERS last year they had a combined 212 rushing yards with RB Dante Redgrave averaging 7.6 yards per carry and the other 2 RB Dalinar Summers &Landon Henry Averaging 5.1 &3.4. the wide outs didn't have much to work with in terms of quality chances due there qb being poor passers but a few had good yards per reception baja oline produced a good amount of pancakes and only allowed 1 sack

the baja defence nicknamed the baja boys were smoked by the Aztecs but held strong against the guardians they  have created a lot of sacks and 2ints . led by Lb Alexander Hordle Jr who leads the team in tackles while adding 2 sacks and 3PD with a back up cast consisting of the DL duo of Thurman Waters & JC Tomlinson with the latter having 9 tackles against the Aztecs and waters having a safety and 2 sacks over both games its actually their safety duo that's more exciting for with the only enforcer in the draft in Akane Saruta and center fielder Victoire Absolue both with soild tackle numbers and an INT each

in overview baja have to get there offence sorted out to fix there record there wideouts might be sneaky late picks due how good they were when they finally got the ball. their running backs have produced good numbers especially in the second game there oline is doing the right things and could progress very well. defensivly they have a few bright spots mostly at the 2nd and 3rd level

guaridans:

finally the 0-2 guardians who had 2 tough loses their offence line decently in the games only allowing 1 sack the passing game has been lack luster with multiple turnovers and the rushing attack has been 50/50 with yards per carry ranging from 5.6 one game to 2.5 the next for their leading rusher the one bright spot would be WR Ariana Poopington who has over 100 yards and 1 td over both games . the offence need to find a rhythm and run with it if the guardians want to win #

defensively the guardians have allowed over 700 yards in their first 2 games and need to start wrapping up ball carries earlier if they want to succeed new safety david corrigan has just been assigned to the team so we will see what he can bring but as of right now their line backers have a lot of tackles maybe because their Dl isnt but LB monster& ducksworth are doing everything they can to stop offences with 28 tackles 1FF 1pd between them Db Bachira, starman&bowman have been playing great but with no pressure qb have been dicing them up but with 30 tackles 9 pass defences and 2 ints 1 for a pick 6 they are making plays on the ball

the overview is the guardians need to play better plain and simple they aren't executing the offence has showed glimpses of success but they need to extend those moments and the defence need to simply limit yards anyway possible as you wont win giving up over 350 yards per game

thanks for reading my dyslexic thoughts hope it wasnt too bad
