*The Krumbling Kronicle - Prospect Bowl RB Rushing Analysis - lunaripcole - 07-10-2024

Hi folks, today we're going to be taking a look at some of the RB prospects for Thursday's DSFL Draft. We will be discussing 8 of the RB prospects and their performance in the Prospect Bowl. Please note that this is only pertaining to Runningbacks Rushing stat (No QB rushing stats or RB catching stats). Without further delay lets go down the list alphabetically by last name.

Mexico City Aztecs
Guadalajara Guardians
Baja Barracudas

Cinco, Federico - 92 Att, 341 Yds, 1 TD (3.7 Avg)

Henry, Landon - 46 Att, 182 Yds, 2 TD (4 Avg)

Hilnka, Larton - 115 Att, 528 Yds, 1 TD (4.6 Avg)

Quinn, Sevrin - 46 Att, 276 Yds, 0 TD (6 Avg)

Redgrave, Dante - 66 Att, 376 Yds, 2 TD (5.7 Avg)

Summers, Dalinar - 81 Att, 455 Yds, 2 TD (5.6 Avg)

Who, Guess - 10 Att, 64 Yds, 1 TD (6.4 Avg)

Wilder, JamesIsRunning - 63 Att, 274 Yds, 1 TD (4.3 Avg)

These rookies have been pouring their heart and soul into the game and it definitely shows. I for one am really looking forward to seeing what they can do in the DSFL. Now lets take a look at these stats from a few different viewpoints.

Ranked by Number of Rushing Attempts

1) Hilnka, Larton - 115 Att
2) Cinco, Federico - 92 Att
3) Summers, Dalinar - 81 Att
4) Redgrave, Dante - 66 Att

5) Wilder, JamesIsRunning - 63 Att
6) Henry, Landon - 46 Att
7) Quinn, Sevrin - 46 Att
8) Who, Guess - 10 Att

Now obviously this isn't telling much, however we can see who has enough stamina to continuously run the ball for their team. However that being said, this doesn't mean that those with low rushing attempts don't have the stamina to keep up. Rather they may have been used elsewhere, or just weren't chose to be the one to take the ball.

Ranked by Total Rushing Yards

1) Hilnka, Larton - 528 Yds
2) Summers, Dalinar - 455 Yds
3) Redgrave, Dante - 376 Yds
4) Cinco, Federico - 341 Yds
5) Quinn, Sevrin - 276 Yds
6) Wilder, JamesIsRunning - 274 Yds
7) Henry, Landon - 182 Yds
8) Who, Guess -  64 Yds

Larton Hilnka with a whopping 528 yards over the three days. He was a definite asset to Mexico City, helping them move the ball down the field.

Ranked by Total  Rushing TDs
1) Summers, Dalinar - 2 TD

1) Redgrave, Dante - 2 TD
1) Henry, Landon - 2 TD
4) Hilnka, Larton - 1 TD
4) Cinco, Federico - 1 TD
4) Wilder, JamesIsRunning - 1 TD
4) Who, Guess - 1 TD
8) Quinn, Sevrin - 0 TD

It looks like Baja swept this category, with each of their RBs scoring two rushing touchdowns. It's clear that rushing was a big part of Baja's game plan for this series.

Ranked by Average Yards per Carry

1) Who, Guess - 6.4 Avg
2) Quinn, Sevrin - 6 Avg
3) Redgrave, Dante - 5.7 Avg
4) Summers, Dalinar - 5.6 Avg
5) Hilnka, Larton - 4.6 Avg
6) Wilder, JamesIsRunning - 4.3 Avg
7) Henry, Landon - 4 Avg
8) Cinco, Federico - 3.7 Avg

Closing out these rankings with the average yards per carry. This category is my personal favorite because I think it really defines the overall of a runningback's performance. Seeing if they were able to make use of being handed the ball is a very important factor in my opinion.
